*coldness was a comfort to Sirius at this point. At least he could feel the jolts of his muscles as he reacted to the coldness. This was a small comfort to know that there was an ounce of life still in him. His mind had lost all sense of things around him, he couldn’t feel anything because the cold had taken over…everything. He felt alone in this dark wasteland of a place, alone and scared. He tried to move just to make sure the freezing temperatures hadn’t finally made it impossible for blood to run through his body. He didn’t dare open his eyes, afraid that if he did he would have to face the reality of it all. The truth of the matter was, there was no reality. For Sirius had just turned over, so if this all had indeed been true, he wouldn’t be able to turn over. So what was this? Behind his eyelids Sirius could see a light. Was it leading to his death? No, it was just the sun trying to penetrate through his closed curtains. Sirius opened his eyes to see Sarah and himself dancing at the last Hogwarts dance. He opened his eyes to find the numbing cold and the sudden jolts of his body had gone. He opened his eyes to realize that it had all been a dream, all of it. The worst part of it all was, this was the fifth time this week that he had had this dream. Every time it was the same and frankly it was getting annoying. He knew he should tell someone…he first thought of Sarah.*
Neh, she’ll try and help but then end up telling me to go to Dumbledore or something…and I don’t want him to be worried about me.
*he thought a few moments more.* Ginny.
Of course! She knows all about this mind crap. Ugh, but then I’ll have to explain the dream and everything and I really don’t want to.
*he sighed heavily and rolled over again, now on his back. He started wriggling around staring at the cracked ceiling, trying to think.*
I’ll wait another day and if I have the same dream then I’ll go talk to her.
*he got up, stretched and went down to breakfast.*
*that night, just like clockwork 1 in the morning when Sirius finally fell asleep he was immediately plunged into the cold wasteland that was to familiar. Little did he know though, it wasn’t just a dream. Someone was trying to get into his mind, trying to penetrate through it. His mind was just reacting by creating a protective layering around it.*
*Sirius saw the light from the morning sun and growled. He opened his eyes and rolled over.* Fine, I’ll go talk to Ginny then. *he said to himself before getting out of bed. He put on a wrinkled shirt that he had found on the floor nearby and put on his favorite Sparry shoes and ran out of the Hufflepuff common room. He reached Ginny’s door rather quickly and knocked loudly not caring if she was asleep or not.* Ginny I need help! Please. *Sirius said to the door. He noticed that his hand was shaking as he knocked. He looked at himself and saw that his whole body was shaking! When he had woken up this morning he hadn’t realized how cold he was because he had been to annoyed by the endless dream. He tried to rub his arms to warm them but he was to cold. He looked at his hands and saw his veins popping out trying to rush blood to them. He felt light headed but tried to ignore it. Sirius knocked on the door again.* Gin… *that was all he could say before fainting onto the cold floor.*
