Jessie woke up coughing and sputtering.  she spit out the remaining water that was in her mouth.  Then she saw the locket on Mira's neck.  *No! Mira, you can't wear that!* Jessie pulled off of her.

Mira felt Jessie yank on the locket, but it wouldn't come off. "Relax I'll just undo the clasp." Mira casually reached around the back of her neck to undo it.

Jessie snatched it from Mira for the third time. 

*It's a necklace that... that belongs to my family, it used to be that everyone had one, but then they were broken and lost and so on... this is the last one we have.  It sends out different signals to other members of the family, whether they have their necklace or not.*  Jessie said studying the outside of the necklace, then finally opening it to look in side the big locket.  she saw what looked like two compasses one on each side.  There were knobs, three on each side.  There were also symbols inside the compass-like part. 

*Maybe I can... figure out how to send a message...* she muttered.  She looked at the symbols.  one side meant good things, the other meant bad things,  she took the right side (good things) and looked closer at the symbols.  Finally she chose a necklace, a little girl, and a party hat.  then she pushed a tiny button, and closed the locket.

*I think I said something like, I found the locket, that a little girl had lost, and we should celebrate... but I don't really know...*

Jessie looked into the sky.  She saw a team of people flying towards her while whooping and screaming.  It was her family!! *Jessica!!! You found a necklace!! That's the last one in existence!*

*Yes you must let me see it!!*

Various relatives began to surround her.  She gave the necklace to one of them and it was passed around until it finally came back to her..
