A Muggle Halloween

((Um, yea, this is just an idea I had. More will come after it, just read it and please tell me if you like it.))

Stacey stepped out into the crowded street, filled with people in costumes. Just at the edge of the sidewalk she saw three ghosts, eight angels, and six witches. This made Stacey laugh; she knew for a fact that none of the people dressed as witches had even the slightest clue that there was entire world full of magic right in front of them. She looked down and straightened her skirt. She was dressed in an 18th century Victorian dress, corset and all. She took a deep breath before walking towards the school.
Stacey was visiting her Muggle mom, who forced her to go to the local school whenever she was home. The school was having a Halloween dance that her mom insisted on her attending. Her skirts rustled as she slowly got closer to the large building. Kaity, Stacey`s friend who believed in magic, came skipping up to her right side. Stacey turned her head to look at her, and to take in her costume. Kaity was wearing lime green leggings, a hot pink tee shirt way to big for her that was tied to the side with a hair tie, and had pigtails. Her black hair had white streaks in it.
"Hi." Stacey greeted.
"Hello." Kaity replied, ignoring the group of young girls that passed, laughing at the sight of her. Stacey had to force her eyes to stay brown, the color that Muggles thought her eyes were. She had to be careful not to let them change.
"And what are you?" Stacey asked.
"I`m a rebel teenager from the sixties." She said in a tone Stacey knew all to well. Kaity wasn`t an ordinary girl at all. She was, in fact the only person that had befriended Stacey.

((Ahh! Thank you for replyying! You`re the first person EVER to reply to one of my Fan Fiction. And no, there is no memory charm on the school.))

Stacey gave a small smile. "Im a rich Victorian merhant`s wife." She said in a matter-of-fact tone, trying to get Kaity in a better mood. She adjusted her lavendar skirts again.
Kaity snorted. "Only you..." She said, smiling. That was one of the few things that could get Kaity to laugh; a bad joke coming from someone with all the laughs. Kaity thought Stacey was hilarious.
Stacey`s smile momentarily got bigger, then she saw Jake. She let out an exagerated sigh. "Da*n it!" She said quietly, she got on the other side of Kaity, trying to hide herself, but Kaity wasn`t a very good hideout, she was six inched shorter. Jake followed Stacey around like a puppy. He was one of the shyer boys in the class, but everyone thought he was hot.
Jake walked over wearing a tuxedo with gold trimmings. "Hi Stacey." He said happily.
Stacey rolled her eyes and stood up straight. "What do you want, Jake?"
Jake tried to look offended. "I was going to ask you if you had a partner for the dance." He said mildly.
Stacey blushed; she secretly liked him. Just a little. "No, as a matter of fact, I don`t." She answered coldly.

Jake smiled. "If you don`t mind, I would like to escort you." He said, giving a pompous bow. Kaity rolled he eyes.
Stacey gave a tiny smile. "No thank you, I will be going to this dance as a wall flower."
Kaity nudged her and pulled her past Jake, continuing on their way to the school. "He likes you." She said quietly. "I know he does." Stacey secretly knew that Kaity could predict the future, but sje hadn`t told anybody, not even Kaity.
"I have enough romance." Stacey said smiling, knowing that Kaity wouldn`t understand. They reatched the school and made their way to the gym. The place was packed with teenagers in costumes; none of them were to inappropriate, but some could have covered a little more. The two girls slowy got the the food table and got some soda. "So, do you think you`re goning to dance with anyone?"
Kaity snorted again. "Yea, right." She said coldly. Kaity had kind of a quick temper and could become very jelouse, which is what she was of Stacey. She envied the fact that Stacey got more attention that her.

Stacey nodded, she was used to Kaity`s moods. A young boy came up to the pair of girls. "Hi." He said shyly. He looked at Kaity. "Do you want to dance?"
By the look of her face, stacey knew that Kaity hadn`t seen this far into the future. Stacey smiled, she was glad her gifted friend could at least dance with someone.

 Stacey smiled as Kaity followed the boy towards the dance floor. She took her drink and leaned against the wall. She looked around at the dancing couples. The song currently playing was slow so the couples were pretty close together. Stacey sighed quietly as she remembered her deal with Aiden and Nate. She pushed the thought from her mind; she was supposed to be having fun, not thinking about her problems back at school.
She remembered the first time she danced with Niles, the thought made her laugh. She saw someone dressed as a sorcerress. It was Megan, the class prep. Stacey rolled her eyes as she got Jake`s attention,
"Uhm, hi." Said a quiet male voice. Stacey turned around to see who it was; it was her guy friend, Alex.
"Hi." Stacey said quietly. Alex was wearing the same thing as Jake, except he had a sword at his hip. Alex caught her gaze.
"Oh, yea. Jake, Braton, and I are the Three Musketeers." He said with a smile. Stacey let out a small laugh.
"Why would you do that?" She asked, smiling.
"Oh, I don`t know, mabey beacause he`s my best friend." He replied.
Stacey kept her smile. She suddenly felt a little nervous around Alex. His dark drown hair was combed forward and in his eyes and the gold trimmings on his suit glittered in the dim lights. Alex cleared his throat.
"Um, would you like to dance?" He asked quietly.
Stacey`s smile got a little bigger. "Sure." She said, stepping closer to him. He held out his hand for her to take and led her to the dance floor. A waltz tune came on just then, so Alex placed one hand on her back and the other held high. Stacey held cupped her hand in his and rested her hand on his shoulder. They started to do a three-step waltz.
Stacey smiled as she saw Kaity still dancing with the other boy. Alex got a few inches closer to her, but Stacey remembered Aiden and Nate and she stepped away. Alex understood, he finished the dance with her and Stacey left the dance. She headed back to her mm`s house to write a note to Aiden.
