Stacey sat in the common room in one of the oversized chairs. Her arms rested gently on the arm rests, where arms belonged. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was normal. From a distance, she looked relaxed, maybe even asleep. But up close, one could see that her arms were tensed and her jaw was clenched tight. Her eyes flashed thousands of colors behind her closed lids.

Images shot through her mind, making her very uncapable to feel what was going on outside her body. Her heatbeat races; you could see tendons in her neck pulsing quickly, much faster than normal. And much faster that it should have been for someone who was sitting down.

Stacey slowly wrenched her arms from the chair and gingerly touched the ring on her right hand. Aiden wore an exact copy of it right now on the same finger. But even though Stacey was never taken the ring off in three months, right now it was ice cold.

A small scrapping sound was heard as a small section of the stone wall moved away revealing a hidden passage.  Rhyme brushed a few cobwebs out of his purple hair as he moved away from the dank and dark hallway.  He brushed the dust off his black leather coat and the small amount that was on his faded blue jeans.  His armed jingled oddly though when he did this, even though he wore no noticeable metal that would jingle with the movement.

Rhyme walked nearly silently over to soft padded ground and laid a soft hand on Stacy's shoulder.  He prepared a sonic wall though to protect himself.  He could hear her heartbeat beating quickly and could see somewhat how tense she was.  He didn't want to end up on the wrong end of a knife or a spell by freaking her out.

Stacey flinches as she felt a hand on her shoulder. She reflexivly snapped out her wand and turned her head. Her eyes were wide open now, and still changing colors every second. Red, purple, grey, dark blue, apricot, peach, gold, black, silver.

She lowered her wand when she saw it was Rhyme. She didn`t really know him very well; she ad oly seen him in passing. She narrowed her large eyes as she looked him over. Her heartbeat was still racing somehow, as if she had bee running instead of sitting.

Rhyme gave her an odd look as he want back around and took a set on in an overstuffed blue chair.  When his arms landed again the sound of metal on metal could be heard.  Someone with sharp ears would be able to tell where they are from and raise an eyebrow at it, if they couldn't, all they would know is that Rhyme jingled, and not the why.

"So, what's up with you?  I saw piano strings with less tension then you." he asked.

Rhyme looked at her with his strange purple eyes.  His, unlike most kids here, did not change.  He always wondered what was with Wizards and their eyes changing with their emotions.  He didn't notice it much outside of this school.

Stacey watched carefully as Rhyme sat down. She closed her eyes for a short moment before she answered him. "I don`t really know why. I`m kind of used to strange things now, though. Well,I`m sure you`ve heard about my newest power. How I can absorb other`s powers? I guess it`s just a side-effect or something." She said softly.

She looked over to Rhyme, her eyes matching his exactly for a moment. Then thay continued their rainbow lide show. She clenched her fists together tightly, but she couldn`t help it.

"No wonder you are stressed.  Power is a lot like music." he said as he pulled out a smile harp.

"When you have a single note, or even a chord, they can sound sweet." he said as he plucked first a single string then a chord.  "But, if you have to many different strings, different notes, even the sweetest sounds can sound ugly."  With that he began to pluck strings seemly at random making an odd sound that put your teeth on edge.

"You need to learn how to block out certain powers, since you are so close to magical people and the basic magic of such an old site, it can really effect your mind and body.  You are not used to having so much power available to you.  You have to learn how to shut it off when you want to."

Stacey nodded when Rhyme first strted, but her teeth clenched tightly again when he played the random notes. "Please," She said, holding up a hand, "Stop. My head hurts enough without that." She threw a look at the harp.

"And I don`t know what I`m doing wrong; I am blocking out powers other than my own. What more can I do?" She asked. Her eyes paused at a dark grey.

Rhyme sighed and knew he would get a few snickers if anyone heard him say what he was about to say.

"I know this sounds perverted by lay down on the couch face down.  I might know a way to reduce some of the tension and pent up energy still stuck in your body"

He cracked his fingers as he stood up, removing his coat to reveal a Fall Out Boy t-shirt.  When he sat the coat down it landed with a loud clunk, revealing itself as much heavier then a normal coat should be.  He also began to hum, loosening his vocal chords.  The odd thing to most people is, they would randomly hear them then not hear him as he went in and out of the human vocal range.  He could hit about 1 Hz if he really tried and well past 20,000 Hz.

"Don't give me that look" he said sighing again "It will basically be a form of sound acupuncture"

Stacey raised her eyebrows as he said that and slowly stood and walked to the couch. She layed down, but put her head to the side. Her eyes were highlighter-orange as she looked up at him from the corner of her eyes. She felt her jaw loosen slightly, but that was probably just the way her head pressed against the couch.

"What are you going to do?" She asked. She wrinkled her nose as Rhyme hit the higher notes; she could usually hear better than the normal person, one of the side-effect she noticed she had from beig around vampires a lot.

"Well, you can hold tension in your muscles, as well as hold energy in your chakras. The right frequency of sound can help relax both of these.  I can help relax your muscles as well as open up your chakras and let the excess energy out.  I'll start with your muscles first though, so the chakras come easier."

He placed both his hands first over he shoulders and with firm but gentle pressure, he began to hum deep from within his diaphragm.  This caused a deep vibration that went through his whole body, down his arms, and into Stacy's back muscles.  The vibrations penetrated deep within the tissues of the body slowly relaxing tense muscles and letting knots work themselves out.

The sound acted like a deep tissue massage, deeper and with less pain then most people could do since the sound can move much faster then a human hand can.  It is sped on by the water within the body and helps work out any of the soreness that can be found there.

Stacey closed her eyes and sighed softly as her back muscles relaxed. She dreamily realized how tense she was before, and she was glad Rhyme had come along.

Her eyes swirled lime green under her closed lids and she took a deep breath in, not wanting to disturb Rhyme.

Rhyme smiled when he felt the tension give way in Stacy's shoulders.  He then began to move his hands down, now at the middle of her back which wasn't as bad as the shoulders and upper back.   He learned over the years that there is where most people held their stress.  Now that that area was worked out, the rest should go smoothly until he got to the chakras.  Those, he guessed would have tons of energy to be released and worked out.

As he waited for the last of the stress to leave her muscles, Rhyme's mind drifted off to the next procedure, wondering if he should go into the other aspect with it.  His sound waves could help open them, but only Stacy herself could take the steps to let go of the stress and blockages that keep them shut in the first place.

Chakras are the bridge between areas of the body, mind, body, heart, and they take many different forms to cleanse completely.

Stacey`s eyelids suddenly felt heavy as Rhyme moved to the middle of her back. She took a sharp, deep breath and exhaled it very slowly. She wondered idily how long this would last, and how longit would be before she became just as stressed as she had been before.

Knowing her, probably not that long.

Stacey`s hand twitched suddenly, and trembled for a second.

Lifting his hands from her back he took a step back, giving her room to sit up if she wanted to.  He gave his own neck a soft crack, as he was a bit stiff from being in one position so long.  He cringed as he felt a small crick in his spine so he took a deep cleansing breath before bending backwards, putting his hands flat on the ground behind him.

"How do you feel now?" he said, his voice a bit tight from the constriction on his diaphragm as he bent himself in weird ways.

Stacey pushed herself up with her arms. "One second." She murmured. She lifted her legs and ouched them to her head, her back poping slightly. She roled her neck and layed back down. "That felt... great." She said. "And I`m not trying to sound perverted or anything, but I feel a lot better." She said slowly.
