Topic: Safe...for now

Lavy burst through the final trees. She turned around ready to strike whatever came out. She waited five minutes with no result. She breathed a sigh a relief. She had no idea what had been chasing her. She never got a good look. All she knew was that it was huge, smelled disgusting, and had very sharp claws.

She looked down at her body. Across her abdomen her shirt was ripped, reviling four long scratches that were bleeding and one leg of her pants was almost completely torn off.

She jogged back up to the school and slipped into the door. It was bearly midday, but it was Fridays so classes were going on. She started up the steps, but stopped midstep when she saw that someone was stadning at the top.

"Lavy!" Stacey exclaimed. She jumped down the few steps that separated them and put a hand on her shoulder. "What happened?" She asked. She knew enough about Lavy that whatever had done this to her was definatly not good.

"I....I don't know. I was just catching in on all the animals and something attacked me." She held out her arm. There was a deep gash on it and it was bleeding...a lot. "It came out of no where."

She sat down on the steps, feeling lightheaded from the loss of blood, "I have to go talk to the headmaster. Tell him to lock down the forest so that we can find it."

Stacey closed her eyes for a couple seconds, then sat beside Lavy. "Someone`s on their way to him right now. She pulled out a white piece of cloth. She wrapped it around Lavy`s arm and tied it tight. "Any idea what it was?"

She shook her head, "No," She said weakly, "All I saw was a shadow and claws and wings. It reminded me of a bat but it was much much larger."

Stacey sighed. "Can you stand?" She asked softly. "I can try to lend you some power, I`ve never done it before though.

"Don't worry about it. I'll teach you later. For now I think I'm just going to lie here." She let her head rest on the step above her, "Here." She pulled an envelop out covered in blood, "Give this to Aiden for me."

She fell silent for a moment, "I'm pretty sure am about to pass out. Tell the nurse that I got thrown into the trees a few times so I'm probably bleeding internally."

Stacey nodded and took the envelope uncertainly. "Wait, my Aiden or your Aiden?" She asked. She figured it was her Aiden, but she wanted to make sure.

"Mine," She wispered, "I'm suppose to meet him later. Don't tell him what happened though. Just tell him that I got causght up." Her eyes shut and her breathing slowed.

Stacey nodded and stood up again. "Where can I find him?" She asked.

Above them there where loud footsteps and within a few seconds they could see three teachers and two nurses running down the steps towards them, "What happened?" one of the teacher's asked Stacey.

"We're meeting in the common room," She wispered.

Stacey nodded a last time and looked at the teachers, still really confused. "She had an accident in the forest. I think she has internal bleeding." She said, then slipped off as the teachers started to approach Lavy.

Stacey got in the common room, like Lavy said, and looked around, not knowing what to expect.

Aiden looked down at his watch. He was late. Lavy hated when he was late. He ran the rest of the way to the grounds of the school so he would be able to Apperate inside the grounds. Within a second he was in one of the rooms above the common room. It was a boys dormitory room but it made no difference. Everyone was in class

He passed a mirror on his way out and looked himself over. His dark brown hair was windswept so he smoothed that out. He brushed off this light green shirt and blue jeans as well. He ran down the steps, almost running right into a girl.

"Oh, sorry," He paused, recognizing her, "Stacey, right?"
