[Aiden]

Aiden listened to Ginny.  He was quiet for a moment, pondering about how Hogwarts would have been like if he were born in Ginny's time.  He couldn't imagine Hogwarts being any different than it was now.

To him,  Hogwarts was like his home away from home.  In fact, it was his only real home.  The only place he felt actually comfortable at.  His thoughts began to wonder something else.
Aiden turned to Ginny as they walked.  "If you don't mind me asking, why did you retire from being a teacher?"  He asked her suddenly.

"First time or second time?" Ginny shot a grin at him, shrugging. She was only 22, how many times could she have been a teacher, really? The truth was, she'd dropped out of school when she was 15, became a substitute teacher in addition to all her other part time jobs, and then left at 17. Then she came back about a year ago, then left. It was a confusing teaching career that even her parents had trouble remembering.

"Same reason both times, actually. Kinda." She shook her head, "The first time I was pregnant. Cody's dad was missing and I feared for my life as well as that of the unborn child's. I went into hiding. The second time, I was pregnant again and decided I wanted to stay home with Meliody after she was born."

Ginny sighed, "Hard decision. I love this school. I love every student that has ever walked through here. I'm connected to it. But I needed to do right by my children."

Aiden nodded with a thoughtful expression on his face.  If he was in that postion, it would be an extremely hard decision to make.  He could only imagine what Ginny had gone through.
"That must have been a difficult decision to make...it would have been for me."  He said, making his thoughts vocal.

Aiden continued to walk by Ginny.  He was absorbed in his thoughts again.  Her brief mentioning of Cody brought a new question into mind.
"You know, I've met Cody before.  He seems like a special kid."  Aiden pointed out quietly, making it seem as if he implied more than what his words portrayed.
