kiss me out on the golden meadow

Nate layed down in a cream colored meadow as his thoughts ran wild. His hands holding his dark head as he looked up through the strands of golden wheat and into the light blue sky. Flashbacks came pouring down into his mind as fast as they came and went. His eyes dull and clouded as he remembered the worse and best of the memories.

Alice sat at the edge of the meadow, the wheat coming up ot her head almost. She was almost completely hidden from view, her hair was pushed in front of her eyes, blocking them from the soft sun. Her eyes were locked on Nate, wide and bright.

She could feel his memories, but had closed her mind as much as she could. She couldn`t help but feel the happiness and sadness of the different scenes.

A image flew by in his mind, mixed emotions appeared through his dark eyes. A little girl about nine years old with the same dark hair as Nates but her eyes were more golden brown. She skipped happily into the field tackling a boy that was an exact replica of Nate but younger. The boy tickled her, a sisterly and brotherly way.
Nate smiled as he layed still in the wheat. A tear almost escaped from his eye but he wiped it before it could fall. He suddenly smelled the sweet scent of Alice. It was always easy to know that she was there, her scent was different than the wheat. He stood up onto his feet and looked around,"Alice you can come out now," he said in a nice loud voice. A smile appearing.

Alice smiled and slowly stood up, the wheat coming up to her waist. Her bangs were still in front her her eyes, but anyone could tell she was happy.

He smiled and motioned her to come over to him. A sparkle forming in his eye.

Alice smiled and walked towards Nate. She saw the sparkle in his eye, and she was glad her bangs covered her eyes.

The way the setting was, it felt like a dream but somehow he knew it wasnt. "Why are you here," he asked.

Alice`s smile got bigger. "I don`t believe that; there are lots of things to do." She looked around the beautiful meadow to prove her point.

Alice tilted her head sideways. "You know, you really should say what you mean more; mabey then people wouldn`t get the wrong ideas about you."
