the beauty of nothing

((Nate! Closed.))

Alice closed her eyes and turned slowly, her arms at her sides. The air smelled clean and crisp, and wet. It had just stopped raining, literally. It had poured for half and hour, and hard. Alice`s jeans and pink tank top were soaked, and her skin and hair still dripped with cold water.

She kept turning, slowly getting faster and faster. Her short black hair whiped around her face until she suddenly stopped. She could smell something. Someone. She opened her eyes slowly.

"Nate." She whispered, knowing that he was close enough to hear.
"Get out of my way! I'm a free spirit!"
FOREVER WILL NEVER BE LONG ENOUGH.
"And now I understand a phrase I once thought odd;
I guess to love another person is to see the face of God."

Nate unfolded his arms against his soaking tshirt. His dark hair stringed against his face. He looked at her and took a deep breath,"hey."

Alice squared her jaw. "Hi." She replied.
Nate had just left her out in that golden meadow. Just turned and ran. She wanted to know why, but she was not going to ask.
