Alice smiled and rolled her eyes.

"Well there`s this fancy thing called an elevator, and it makes people go up without stairs." She said in a teasing tone. "Come on, loverboy. Elevator`s this way." She directed him to the end of the hall and turned right.

"Elevator. Yes, I know what those are." Seth replied back with a crooked smile. He followed closely beside her as she led him to the elevator and took her hand in his as they strode on.

Alice smiled and squeezed his hand. Soon they reached the elevator and Alice used her free hand to push the button. The double doors opened immmediately and she stepped inside.

"Top floor." She said to herself, pushing the button that had a five next to it. "And up we go."

As the elevator closed its doors and started to rise, he watched as the electronic numbers started to get bigger the higher they went. There were several floors to this place.

After a few moments the doors opened once more, but to a large hallway with dark purple walls and black carpet with silver swirls.

"Here we are." Alice said, pulling Seth into the hall and turning right. She led him to the last door and produced a key from her magical bag, unlocking the door.

Inside the walls were painted a soft off-white. The carpet was red, and the furniture was made of a black stained wood. There was a dresser, a wardrobe, a television stand, and a bed with a red and silver cover.

"This is it."

Seth eyes traced every detail of the hotel room with his eyes. He even ran his fingers along the bed cover, which felt like silk.

"Alice," he said. "this must have cost a fortune!" He would pay her back later or do something in return.

Alice shrugged, still smiling.

"Not really. And don`t you even think about paying me back. I`ve got tons saved up, you know." She said, giving him a pointed look. On one side of the room there was a sliding glass door with red sheer curtains. The door led out to a small balcony that looked out onto the same field as the pool had. There was a smooshy loveseat out there, too, and there were green plants covering the sides for more privacy.

Alice moved to the door and slid it open. The warm night air spilled in and she took a deep breath.

Seth walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her stomach, laying his chin onto her shoulder. The air was so warm and smelled more...town like. It was nice. He smiled at how the moon's light looked on Alice's skin. She honestly couldn't be any more beautiful he was so lucky to have her back into his life.

"Do you know how much I love you?" He whispered into her ear.

A shiver ran through Alice`s body when Seth wrapped his arms around her. It felt so nice the have him do that, to have his rolling heat surround her. She layed her cold hands on his arms and leaned back into him. He smelled so wonderful. Part of it was the blood, of course, but she could smell past that now. His skin smelled sweet, and he just smelled like... home.

"Yes, because I love you just as much." She whispered back, turning her head so her lips brushed his cheek.

Seth smiled and closed his eyes. He really could stay like this forever. Just him and her and the moon and the stars. The warm Paris air and the lights of the town below. But of course, the sun would rise eventually, and as of now, he wasn't able to be there forever.

Alice closed her eyes and took another deep breath. She knew what she wanted now. Being away from Seth like she had had ruined her, and she never wanted to be like that again.

"Seth, I can`t live one day without you. I tried, and it hurt a lot." She said slowly and softly, opening her eyes. "I`m not going to let you get away from me again; I almost lost you. With your permission, love, I will change you to be like me."

Seth was so surprised that he released her and stepped back.

 "Uh, are-are you sure? Is that what you want?" He knew how hesitant she had been before. Plus, she had wanted to get married before he was changed. "Yes." He said softly, brushing her hair back. "You have my permission."

Alice turned when he moved away. That surprised her. He had seemed so eager before, so ready to give away his mortality.

"Yes, Seth. You`re what I want. I`m not going to live a day without you, and you wouldn`t believe how horribly fragile humans really are." She smiled just a little. "When you`re ready, love. We won`t rush into it. Just make sure it`s what you want." She lifted her hands and brushed her fingers along his smooth cheek.

Seth swooped Alice into the air and kissed her passionately. He wanted to have at least one last kiss before he lost his mortality. He wanted his last human moment to be special. He would never feel a heartbeat ever again.

Alice kissed him back before laughing and pulling away.

"Seth, not tonight, not here. I wouldn`t dare change you here. Besides, I think this counts as rushing." She looped her arms around his neck and smiled up at him. Her eyes were a crystal blue, staring up into his dark ones.
