Avalee was stunned for a moment, like she was hit with a strong Stupify spell. She wasn't expecting that.

She ran and followed Sky. "My boyfriend died."

Sky simply kept walking, as if she didn't notice Avalee behind her. But she did hear what she said. And she felt bad. But, as Sky had learned, you cannot live by what happened in your past. You had to keep moving on.
