Black. Nothing but complete black. I lit my wand, which cast an eerie glow upon the walls. I jumped back in surprise. My back slammed against the wall behind me, and my small frame slid to the floor. Four sturdy cement walls surrounded me completely, and only one small window broke the never ending gray wall. The window was nothing special. Just three iron bars, set just above my reach, that led to the dark hallway beyond. Listening carefully, I could hear the cries of the other prisoners here. The guards had let me keep my wand, but enchantments only let me used certain spells.
Laying down on the small cot that creaked with old age, I placed her head on my arm. Swirls of dust flew up from the old cot, making me cough. My blonde hair spilled out behind me mixing with the dust and showing it's many different tones. Some almost white, others almost brown. My bright blue eyes began to fill with tears. As the first began to spill over, I whispered, Help me Albus, before settling into an uneasy sleep.
I dreamed of him. My life. My love. The only thing I ever would want or need. We were in a small meadow. Walking hand in hand. Everything was so perfect and blissful. Suddenly, it was black. There was a brilliant flash of green light that blinded me. I heard a scream. Was it my own? Realization hit me like a train at full speed. Tears raced down my cheeks. My body slouched over the still warm corpse lying on the stone ground. Albus.
I awoke, screaming. The cot was soaked and yet tears still flowed down my face. Gasping for air, I sat up and pulled my knees up to my chest. Arms wrapped tight around them, I tried to pull myself back into me. To retain my sanity.
The darkness seemed to have carried on forever, and yet, I realized, the darkness had only just begun.

I woke up stiff and sore from sleeping so balled up. I stretched my legs before I remembered where I was. Then I froze. The tears began coming back, but I somehow managed to channel it into anger. Soon I had the bed pushed over in front of the window and was standing on it.
Peering out, all I could see was blinding brightness. After the pitch black of night, this was overwhelming. I blinked a few times until the blue spots cleared from my vision. I looked out, counting the cells across the hall and down to the right. There were 8. That meant that there were 8 on my side of the hallway too. Looking to the left I counted 11 and then there was one across from me. 20 cells. 20 people I had to free. I just had to. I looked out again and saw a guard. I jumped off the bed and pushed it back against the wall.
Just as the door was being opened, I had flung myself on the cot and pretended to be sleeping. The door slammed against the wall with such a loud crash that I knew it had made a dent. Knowing normal people wouldn't have slept through that I leaped up, practically into the arms of a guard.
He stared down at me with eyes that burned with an anger obviously taught to him by a cruel master. I glared back as effectively as I could, which only made him laugh.
"Aren't you a pretty one..." He said, his eyes trailing down my figure. "Turn around." He commanded.
I stood still.
"NOW!" He yelled, and I turned unwillingly. I could feel his eyes raking down my body and I gave an involuntary shudder. He grabbed my shoulders and turned me back to face him. Grabbing my chin, he jerked it upward, forcing my eyes to meet his. "What's your name?" He asked.
My mind worked frantically. Billie... Billie Kay... "Kayla" I said.
"Really... Kayla... I like the way that... sounds..." He said, looking down my body again. He glanced at my orange jumpsuit, and then at the top button that was open. He reached down towards it, and I balled my hand into a fist and jabbed it upward into his nose, hearing a crack. The blood began flowing immediately, and he slapped me hard across the face, throwing me to the floor with a thud. He held his nose and said, "We will finish this later. I can promise you that." Then he stalked from the room, leaving me shuddering on the floor.
"Albus... please... I need you... please come." I whispered, still shuddering violently on the cold floor.

The next day, I paced my cell for at least 3 hours trying to come up with a plan. I decided that I had to go into intense training mode, but are there really that many things I can do in here? As I was forming this plan, the door was thrown open, making me jump in surprise. The guard whose nose I must have broken came through the door. His nose was wrapped and he had what looked like X-ray's in his hand.
"You listen carefully Kayla" He said, nearly growling my fake name. "I am your guard. You will do what I say no matter what it is. My wish is your command got it?"
I stood still and glared at him.
"Your lucky I didn't die from that blow you gave me. And believe me I will get pay back." He looked down at my shape. "No matter what it is I have to do." Then he threw the pictures at me and stalked from the room.
I waited until he had gone, and then picked up the X-ray's. A little bone had stopped just millimeters before hitting his brain. If it had gone a little farther, it would have killed him. "I guess I need more force..." I murmured to myself.

I rolled off the bed early in the morning, or at least, I think it was morning. I can never tell because the dim lights in the hallway never turn off. I went over to the small tin sink in the corner, and splashed some water in my face. It was freezing. Apparently convicts don't get warm water.
I lied down on the floor and did sit ups until my abs burned. Then I did about 10 more to push myself. I rolled over and did some push ups. Well technically one push up... I'm not very strong I guess...
I lied on my bed trying to decide where I could do pull ups in this room, when I accidentally let my mind wander.
We were standing in a dark hallway. I couldn't even see Mira standing next to me, though I knew she was there. I heard people bustling around down the hallway. "Mira, please just go!" I begged.
"Jessie you know I can't do that! You didn't even kill him! I did!" Mira said, begging also.
"Mira... just go! I know you'll come and find me to get me out. I know it! Please!" Jessie said.
Mira knew she could argue no further. I had made up my mind. I would not be persuaded. She nodded in submission, a single tear rolling down her cheek. "Is there anything I can do for you in payment of this?"
"Just get me out as soon as you can." I said, peering around the corner at the flashlights that were getting progressively closer. "Oh and bring Albus too. Months of submission and I'll literally need to see him. And plus when he's angry he'll be able to kick some butt."
Mira laughed quietly, but you could hear the sadness in her voice. "I'm sorry Jessie... I really am."
"Don't worry about it. If you hadn't killed the Death Eater I would have died." I said, gratefully. "But you should go now, otherwise they'll see you." I hugged her, knowing I wouldn't see her for a very long time.
"Thanks again Jessie. I'll come as soon as I can." Mira promised, running off into the dark. I waited until the men found me, then I put up a fight, killing one of them with a the killing curse. The caught me eventually, I was hopelessly outnumbered, I never really had much chance, and was planning on getting caught anyways. Then I was knocked unconscious and interrogated, before being knocked unconscious again and dragged here.
Lovely!!!! Ok, I don't really like the part about me being a murdererer... But at least I killed a bad guy!!! Nicely written! ;D

I woke up and tried to work out again, my muscles screaming in protest. I finally gave up and sat on my bed, waiting for the lunch to arrive. When I was about to start pacing, the door was kicked open, and I gave an involuntary shudder.
"Kayla! It's been too long!" He said, bringing in a tray with my food. He set it on the ground, and then sat down beside it. "Come on, aren't you hungry?"
I walked over to him slowly and sat down across from him. What is going on? I thought he was mean! My face must have given away my thoughts, because he laughed.
"I gave up trying to force you into loving me. I love you, and however long it takes you to realize that, I can wait! I mean, you are in here for 20 to life right?"
I nodded, and reached for my food. "No, no! I'll get that!" He said. Then he proceeded to feed me as though I was a baby. Once all of the food was gone, he tenderly touched my face, and then the next thing I knew, I was laying flat on my back, with him over me. He crushed his lips down into mine, and I thought to bite him, but couldn't move. His hands ripped my shirt open and my mind screamed, RAPE! He pinned my arms behind me, and crushed his face to mine again. He was kneeling over me, so I brought my knee up with as much force as I could muster. He doubled over, and I jumped to my feet.
I proceeded to kick him as hard as I could, most aimed for his groin area. He couldn't stand, and whenever he did, I would cripple him again. I grabbed the metal tray with the food on it, and slammed it against his head. He was bleeding, but still kept coming. I took the tray, and slammed it into the side of his head, knocking him unconscious, and sending him sprawling across the floor. Guards heard the fight, and came running into the room. I hid in the corner, and tried to fix my shirt buttons.
Two guards ran in, and began screaming into their walkie talkies. More rushed in, and carried out the unconscious guard. Others came in, and put hand cuffs on me. They dragged me out of the room, and down the hall.
Dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun.
Hahaaa.

I was dragged to an interrogation room. A.K.A., a glorified cell with a two way mirror. They sat me down, and asked me a ton of questions. The whole time there was this bright light shining in my face, and it made my eyes water.
"What is your name?"
Should I tell them? They might hurt me if I don't, and I have to be ready for Albus when he comes to save me. "Jessica Anne Hughes"
"Did you intentionally hit the guard?"
"Yes, but-" They cut me off... how rude.
"Tell me in your own words, exactly what happened."
"Well, he came in, with my tray of food. Then he sat down and I sat across from him, like he told me to. He said that he loved me, but he wasn't getting far trying to earn my love through force, so he was going to try to be nice. He was being too nice, it wasn't like him. Then he fed me... like he put the food in my mouth for me. It was so weird. Then once the food was gone..." I swallowed. I didn't want to think about this part. "Once the food was gone, he tried to rape me. So, in self defense, I hit him."
"You must have hit him several times correct?"
"Yes."
"How many, and where?"
"I kneed him once, low. Then I kicked him several times, around the same area. And a few times in his shins. Then I took the food tray and hit him with it once on the fore head, and once on the right side of his head, which knocked him unconscious."
"I see. Thank you."
They escorted me back to my cell, and I curled up on my cot. I needed Albus to come, and fast. How much longer could I last?
Holy crap... I hate that guard... Evil! But the story rox!!

Terribly sorry about the long wait!
I expected for my guard to be out of commission for a few days, which granted me some sort of relief. There was a knock on the door. Maybe this guard was going to be polite. Or maybe he just didn't want to get beaten unconscious like the last one.
The door was pushed open, and the guard entered, his back facing me. He was a little guy, couldn't be much taller than I was. He had brown hair that looked familiar to me, but I wasn't sure why. He shut the door and turned around.
My mouth dropped and my eyes widened. I burst into tears of joy.
He came over to me and sat on the cot beside me. He put his arm around my shoulders and together we rocked. Back and forth, back and forth. I stopped crying and looked up into his eyes. They were a blend of blue, green, and brown. I threw my arms around his neck. He was very cold.
He said, "It's OK Jessie. I'm here."
We looked each other in the eyes for a long time before I finally whispered, "Albus! I knew you would come!"
"Of course I would come. I couldn't just leave you here! Now let's go kick some a$$!!!"
"Of course I would come. I couldn't just leave you here! Now let's go kick some a$$!!!"

"No wait!" I said, not wanting him to get hurt. "Shouldn't we try to sneak out?"
"We can't take our chances, we have to leave now!" He whispered, frantically trying to convince me.
I didn't want to be swayed, but just being with him made it hard to stand my ground. "No. We can't! We need to wait until nightfall, then sneak out and take everyone with us!"
Albus was shaking his head. His eyes were on the floor and I could tell that he was deep in thought. I gently lifted his chin so that our eyes met. When he saw how truly worried I was, he nodded. "Okay. Alright fine. We'll do it your way. I'll unlock all of the cell doors on final lockdown, and then once all of the guards have left except the two for patrol, I'll come and get you."
I was the one nodding now. "Can you be one of the patrolmen?" I asked, worry almost entirely gone from my eyes.
"Yes, but it might be difficult... I think I have an idea on how to sway them." I looked at him, waiting for an answer, but it never came.
He stood to leave, and I stood with him. He looked slightly down at me, as our heights were nearly the same. He put both arms around my waist, lifting me up into his arms. My arms were around his neck, and we kissed. It was so magical, and I could hardly breathe.
He set me down again, and cradled my face in his hands. Then he left the room.

Midnight had come and Albus had already unlocked the doors. So far, all had gone according to plan, but that did't mean that they would escape.
She heard guards talking, their voices echoing across the cement walls. She paced in her room, waiting for Albus to come. All of her nails were chewed as far down as possible, and she figgeted, not able to sleep or sit still.
She looked out of the barred window and down the hall. She saw Albus, and he saw her. He gave her a thumbs up, the signal for her to move. She slowly pushed the door to her cell open, just enough for her to slip out. She smiled at Albus and they both began to open the other doors.
The first person she let out was a woman, scared, and scittish. She nodded, scared, as Jessie told her the instructions on what to do. The woman helped to open a few doors, but then curled up in a corner, too scared to do much more. A man who had been freed helped to try and calm her, but it was hard when you had to be silent.
Jessie gathered the small group of people behind her as Albus was doing on the other side. The guards were in a small hallway between them, but they were to the side.
"I think I'll go and check on some of the prisoners." One guard was saying.
"Fine, but I call that chick on the end... the word going around is that she thinks the jumpsuit is uncomfortable, so she doesn't sleep in it." The other said, in reply.
The first guard laughed and said, "Hahaha... alright, but I get her once you're done, deal?"
"If she's got the energy!" They both laughed, and one chair squeaked, and the guard stood, walking towards where the prisoners were hiding.

Sorry! We were on vacation and my mom is one of those people who thinks vacation is a chance to see everything, so I never know if I'll be able to chill or if I have to go somewhere! I thought we were just going to be sitting around, but then one thing led to another!
The prisoners turned to look at the woman they were talking about. She whispered harshly, "Well it is!" We glared at her for talking, and then heard the guard coming ever closer. Step, step, step, step, right, left, right, left. He was just around the corner.
The prisoners glanced nervously at each other, each looking to another for a plan. I saw one man hold up a shank, made from a toothbrush. He had sharpened it, and it glinted in the available light. Several people shook their heads at him, and one standing nearest to him lowered the man' s arm, gently.
Albus stood next to the corner, waiting. The man rounded the corner, playing with a small army knife in his hands. He rounded the corner where Albus stood. The guard looked up confused, and Albus quickly grabbed his head by the back of his neck. He rammed the man's head into the wall, just hard enough to knock him unconscious.
There was a loud noise as his head hit the wall. The other guard, still sitting at a table down the hallway stopped shuffling the cards that he held.
"Jim?" He called. No response. "Hey Jim, is everything alright?" No response. The man stood, dropping the cards. "This isn't funny Harper." He called again, his voice shaking slightly.
The silence was eerie. I thought I heard him taking a very silent step, or was that someone else? Suddenly, he appeared in front of me. I was startled, but not nearly as much as he was. He started to make a hasty call for backup, and I lunged for the walkie talkie.
I grabbed onto it, and we both tumbled to the floor. The man started to roll away to stand, but a prisoner kicked him down.
A different prisoner sat on his back as the guard lay on the ground. The prisoner tried to grab his wrists, but I had already grabbed one, and a different prisoner had the other. Others had his feet, and the rest were gathered around us.
I hit his wrist against the ground until he released the walkie talkie. It clattered to the floor and Albus picked it up. He crouched beside me, his hand brushing against my leg for a moment.
A girl ripped off a long strip of her jumpsuit and tied it around his mouth, and another around his eyes. I realized that it was the one who said her jumpsuit was uncomfortable. "Now you tell me if it's uncomfortable" She snarled at him, smacking the back of his head.
Someone had found rope and tied up both of the guards. Once they were blindfolded and gagged, we emptied their pockets, making sure that they had no weapons. Then several men lifted them and tossed them into separate cells.
