Avalee was numb for a moment. She froze. Had she really seen that face? That face she had known so well. The face with the blue eyes, framed by red hair. Yes. It was him. It was defiantly him. It was Axel.

She snapped back into action. Avalee spun around quickly and grabbed him by the arm. "It's me." She said softly. Her hands went up and pushed off his hood and placed her hands on his cheeks. "And it's you." She whispered. Avalee had no idea how she felt towards him anymore and was altogether confused at this point. But he was not going to blow her off and run away like he did all last year when he saw her. This spring and summer Avalee had changed. And She wasn't going to let him walk away this time.

Avalee, as always was on her way to the bar. The warm summer air swirled her hair up and around her face. Her hair was as it always was; curly and blond. She wore a very loose, thin tshirt. And black shorts. On her feet were gladiator sandals. Her face showed her mood; relaxed and happy. It had been a while since she was walking down this cobblestone road. But it felt like home. She grabbed the familiar doornob. It was the door to The Hog's Head. This place held memories. Too many, perhaps. But tonight was to be simple. Drinks alone at a pub. Avalee felt that the building was more an old friend than a building. A small wave of anxiety crashed in her stomach. She pushed it to the back of her mind.

She swung open the door and relit the smile on her face. She walked in, confident. She was a different person now.

Crazy Avalee...yep she's back...for more drinking...and making a fool of herself.

"Phoenix!" Avalee squealed. Suddenly a block of ice was flying towards her. She had no time to grab her want and blow it up. She had no choice. She had to jump.

And jump she did. Towards Phoenix of course. It was his d@mn fault anyway. Might as well crush him with her weight as she cascaded towards the earth.

I don't want this site to die.

I'm optimistic for the first time in a long time.

["Wow."]

She was smiling so widely. The world whipped by. And it was beautiful. She was breathing as hard as he was at the end of it. She just laid there on top of him when it was over and he was on the ground.

"Wow." She breathed.

["Okay"]

Total flashback moment. The first time she had hung out with Axel he had done the exact same thing. Avalee shook that from her mind. She trusted Seth.

She tried to modestly climb aboard his back in her skirt. Awkward. But she got on eventually, and held on tightly. She trusted him, but was still scary.

"Okay" She said

["Sure, Seth."]

She looked at him and tilted her head to the side. Her eyebrows pushed together. She clasped her hands together in her lap. She thought for a moment about what he said.

Then when he asked, she though again for a moment. Then nodded. "Sure, Seth." She was nervous. What was he going to do?

["Why? What's so bad about being human?"]

"Why? What's so bad about being human?" She asked it in a non-condescending way. A way that seemed genuinely curious.

She looked at him, ready to read his face.

["Okay."]

"Okay." She looked down at the ground.

"Why do you spend so much time out here?" She asked.

["Are you and Alice together? I mean...I was just wondering...because um, I haven't spoken to her or you or Axel since December."]

Her face fell a bit. That sounded really sad. So she decided to ask the inevitable question. I mean, it sort of applied to the whole 'never going home' thing. She blurted it out.

"Are you and Alice together? I mean...I was just wondering...because um, I haven't spoken to her or you or Axel since December." She paused a second. "Sorry. It's not my business."

["Yeah."]

Avalee was confused momentarily. Why did he want to hang out with her? After everything that happened? Huh.

"Yeah." She nodded. "Yeah, that sounds...good" She copied him. She picked up a pebble and threw it in as well. She pretended it was a wishing well, and a penny was in her palm instead. She wished on in silently in her head and threw it in.
