"I know what you mean..." She sighed.

She really wanted to ask about Alice. She really wanted to ask about Axel. But Avalee, for the first time in her life, kept her mouth shut. She was quiet. She just sat there. And sitting with company next to her was an incredibly good feeling. Words didn't form in her mind. She just liked the feeling of sitting with someone.

["I'm fine."]

"I'm fine." She said in a false contented voice. And then she nodded, sitting up and crossing her legs. She faced the lake.

"Of course." She responded to the second half of his question. She sat there for a moment in silence. The weather was so perfect. It was chilly outside, but the warm breeze made it so perfect.

"And how are you?"

["But how are you?"]

Avalee smiled, glad to hear that he was good. She took another sip of firewhiskey.

"But how are you?" He asked. Her face fell a little bit. Should she be honest, or lie and say everything was fine. She took a small breath. She wouldn't totally lie, but would tone it down.

"I'm...okay. It's been a long year." She smiled and shrugged.

["Hello, Seth."]

Avalee opened her eyes when she heard a small grass-crunching noise. She rolled over on to her stomach and squinted, trying to make her eyes adjust. She soon saw the outline of a man. Her heart beat faster, trying to see who it was.

Seth.

It had been a while. She took the buds out of her ears and pushed her bangs out of her eyes. She smiled weakly at him.

"Hello, Seth."

["Aiden. Please sit!"]

Avalee was quite surprised when Aiden snuck up behind her. She was pretty happy to see him. Familiar faces were welcome to Avalee. She almost wanted to hug him.

"Aiden. Please sit!" She pushed out the stool for him, motioning for him to sit. She gestured for Mark to bring Aiden something.

"How are you?" She said with more enthusiasm than she had been speaking with lately.

Avalee laid in the grass out by the lake. The grass made a strangely soft bed. She was on a small blanket she had taken from her home. She smiled and her eyes were closed. She was peaceful. She was happy. Small headphones rested in her ears. They played one of her favorite songs:

She smiled and whispered the lyrics along to the music. Her hair was in soft curls around her face, which was blank of makeup. She wore the simple black, loose dress she had taught in earlier that day. The air out by the lake was so fresh and clean. It was practically intoxicating.

The brown sign proudly announced the name of the pub. The sign was too familiar. It made her too happy. It made her feel alive and awake.

"The Three Broomsticks"

So much had happened here. So many drunken nights. So many blackouts. So many friends. So many memories. This was the place she met Phoenix. This is also the place she met Axel.

Avalee smiled as she approached the bar. The bartender smiled at one of his best customers. He nodded at her and asked her in a kind tone, "What will it be tonight, miss?"

Avalee smiled wider and answered, "Cold firewhiskey, please." The bartender's face fell a little bit. "Not too much tonight, Avalee. We both know what happens..." She sighed. "Fine, be my makeshift parent Mark. I won't. Promise."

Mark nodded and poured her a small drink. She took a sip. She was home.

Ah! You guys are lucky to go to a small school. I miss my small school. My school is huge now...i hate it.

Long week. Huge fight with one of my friends. But it's totally for the best. She was an awful friend. And this showed me that. She threatened to tell everyone personal stuff she knows about me. Yeah...

I'm happy to be back. I'm about to start a topic or two. Yay!(:

I confess, I wish I could just lie in the grass with you for hours listening to music at night.

I'm so friggin excited right now...one of my friends/sort of ex-boyfriends talked me into doing compet (competitive acting and speech) next year. And I am happy. I've wanted to do it for a while, but have been wayyy too shy.

So...I finally have my schedule all sorted for next year.
0 Hour- Algebra 2
1 Hour- Physio-Anatomy
2 Hour- Competitive Acting and Speech
3 Hour- Philharmonic Orchestra
4 Hour- Upperclassmen Lunch (Off-campus lunch) (WOOHOO!)
5 Hour- Latin II
6 Hour- APUSH (Advanced-Placement United States History)
7 Hour- CP English 2 (College Prep)

I love it. Actually easier than this year. Hooray. And off-campus lunch is exciting.
So...not like you guys care...but yeah...my schedule...I'm happy. Cause I was supposed to be moving this year...and now I'm not(:

I also really really want to start RPing again. I will have more time, and stuff like that. And my writing isn't as bad as it used to be...so you should pm me so we can start a thread.

I love the community here so much, and I really want to get involved again. So I'd like to introduce myself to all the newbies that I haven't met.

Holy crap. It's been forever!!

Oh sh!t.

Avalee sat in a tree, right by the lake. And there he was. Phoenix. Her stomach dropped. She needed to leave. Now. She didn't want him to see her. She felt so awful about everything. She just wasn't ready. He wasn't ready. He was probably furious. If he cared enough to think about her.

She was stupid. Naive. Immature. And she needed to run. She was wired on coffee right now. She really didn't want to sleep, so she had one, or maybe four, too many shots of espresso. Her eyes were wide and purple circles of insomnia lay just beneath them. A blush covered her cheeks from the cold, and how she had been running earlier. No makeup. Time wasn't worth it. She had no one to look good for.

She stood on the branch, trying to see if there was a way to get higher up and hide, or a way around and run off. Either would be almost impossible. She remained absolutely still. Hoping he wouldn't see her.
