August 30, 2011, 07:59:24 AM
Name: Nathan Micheal Thresher

Age: 16

Year: Sixth

House: Ravenclaw

Height: 6'1

Appearance: Nathan is pretty average looking kid. He's tall for his age but is too skinny for his height and looks like a tooth pick. His skin has a bit of tan on it but will fade as winter comes on. He has long arms and legs that aren't exactly muscular. His hair is a long, shaggy and brown and manages to hang at that perfect place just above his eyes. The most noticeable thing about him are his dark brown eyes that are full of depth and always draw people in. He has a big smile that combined with those eyes will melt your heart.

As far as clothes go Nathan is rather laid back. He always wears jeans, never is caught in shorts. His shirts are usually just tyical t shirts and in the winter are paired with a zip up hoodie. He has a pair of ragedy red old chuck taylors that he wears around all the time.

Parents: Johnathan Thresher 47
              Marnie Thresher 45

Personality: Nathan is a really sweet kid. A lot of people sort of fear him because of his big stature, but if you take one look into those big brown eyes you'll see what  a sweetheart he is. He's polite and much more mature than most of the boys his age. He doesn't say much but will always nod and give you a hello. He's rather inteligent and shouldn't be taken lightly. He knows a lot of spells and one of the smartest kids in his class.

Likes: Books, Grammer, Literature, Chatting, taking walks

Dislikes: Airheads, sports, rude people

Power: Nathan can transform into a bird and fly when he likes. He likes to keep this power to himself but has it nonetheless. Other than that he his very skilled a lot of spells and can hold his own.

History: Both of Nathan's parents were wizards and from the day he was born he was being taught of the great wizard he was bound to be. He spent his days either acheiving at school or studying books at home. By age ten he knew way more spells than most kids learned in their time at Hogwarts. When he got his acceptance letter he and his parents were estatic. He went out and got the best supplies and was shipped off to Hogwarts to do nothing but succed.

Thats what he has done. He's managed to weasle his way into the teachers pet spot with his not only his grades but his maturity and behavior. He became one of the top in his class and was placed in the Ravenclaw house. Even though he was excactly the wanna-be-nerds dream he wasn't exactly happy. In the five years he'd been at Hogwarts Nathan hadn't managed to make any friends. And this year he was prepared to make some, allowing himself to break a few rules and meet new people.

Hufflepuff / Day One
August 21, 2011, 11:06:27 AM
Evalee smiled as she entered the gates of Hogwarts. There was something about the first day that was totally intoxiacating to her. She didn't know if it was the train ride, the students milling around the school, or the sorting that night, but something made this day seem special to her. She was begining her fith year here at Hogwarts and was excited for what lied ahead. As she dragged her suitcase around the grounds she nodded to different people she knew and others she didn't. She could see girls exchanging giddy hugs, boys swaping high fives, and the ocasional icy glare from one student to another.

Finally she aproached the front steps of her house, Hufflepuff. She smiled and sat down on the steps, taking a second to look at the place. Of course a thing hadn't changed, it was Hogwarts, and that was what gave it its cham."Oh I missed this." she said to herself, smiling and taking in a breath of the fresh air. She was glad to be back.

((Cheesy and short I know... I tried. lol Open btw))

Name: Evalee Cornelia Martley

Nicknames: Lee - her brother James calls her this

Age: 15

Year: Fifth

House: Huffle Puff

Height: 5' 2

Appearence: Evalee has a very small stature. She is very skinny and sometimes her bones show underneath her creamy white skin. She has waist length, straight, jet black hair; which is the feature that usually catches people's eye. She has short choppy bangs that come straight across her forehead.  Her almond shaped eyes are a shade of crystal gray and full of excitement and wonder. She has small hands, small feet, yet a very large presence. Her brother and friends call her a pixie sometimes, she is just that small and fragile. On her hands and left forearm she has dark jagged scars that are reminats of her childhood.

Evalee's style is different. She always likes to feel cute and is tends to dress in a style that is all her own. She is constantly wearing dresses just because she wants to. She likes to match crazy colors that don't go together on anyone else but somehow look adorable on her. Its not very oftent that you'll see her in just jeans and a t-shirt.  She also has a silver charm bracelet that she always wears around her left wrist.

Parents: Tendra May Martley (deceased)
     Markus James Martley (deceased)

Siblings: James Webster Martley,17. Attends Beauxbatons Academy of Magic

Personality: Evalee is one of the most outgoing people around. When she was younger she used to be extreemly shy, hiding behind the shadow of her "golden boy" older brother, James. Eventually when she was transfered to Hogwarts Evalee had to become her own person and she sure did. She is bubbly and friendly, and isn't afraid to make you mad in order to get you to talk to her. She is wild and carefree, living in today and not worring about tomorow. Even though this sometimes gets her in trouble she isn't worried about what people think and keeps on living that way.

Evalee isn't exactly smart but deffinitly makes the grade. She struggles with school but pushes thorugh it because she feels the need to seem perfect. She worries that if she can't be good at wizardry she'll never be able to move on or become anything in life.

Evalee isn't always full of rainbows and sunshine though. Even though she is very upbeat she sometimes gets down. She is insecure about her parents and gets nervous when they are brought up in conversation. When somebody asks her about her scars she gets chocked up. Even though it was harmless in its creation, she's afraid that if she isn't perfect she won't be liked and won't function. And that is a huge fear for her.

Likes: Talking, gossiping and socializing. She loves to dance(which she's good at)and sing (which she's not). She enjoys watching the sky and thinking things out. She loves to make new memories and sorta likes to get in trouble.

Dislikes: Talking about the past. Vegtables.

Power: She is especially skilled at spells with wind and water.

History: Evalee was born in a small little cabin in the country of England. She was raised in the middle class and was a very shy child, hiding in the overwheliming presence of her brother James. Her father, who worked on the railroad, traveled alot and barely knew the kids. Their mother, though, was always around and was very good witht he children. She was happy though and enjoyed every ounce of her childhood.

Unfortanatley her happy family took a turn for the worst when she was 4. Her mother, Tendra, contracted a disease that didn't show any symptoms. When Tendra suddenly passed away the children were heart broken and so was their father. He couldn't look at the kids and struggled as a single father. He was away a lot with his job and that caused James to act as a parent to little Evalee at just age 6.

When Evalee was 9 James left for Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. She was hearbroken, being how she'd lost her brother, friend, and practically another parent. While James was busy at school her father had to step up to the plate and care for Evalee. This was rocky. James didn't now how to communicate or care for Evalee. Once when Evalee dropped a glass vase it shattered all over the place, leaving huge gashes in both and and a long scar down her left forearm. Markus went ballistic and screamed and yelled, more angry at himself for allowing it to happen than at Evalee.

Eventually the stress was too much for Markus and when Evalee was just 10 he jumped off a rail car and plummeted to his death, leaving Evalee completley and utterley alone. She was shipped of to a foster home untill she was 11 and left to join her brother at Beauxbatons.

Evalee was a good student during the day, studying prestegiously, trying to be perfect and put everything behind her. But due to her past Evalee became reckless at night. She was wild always getting into to fights and trouble. When she was just 13 she got in huge trouble for drinking on campus and was transfered to Hogwarts.

Now she's been here fore 2 years and has simmered down just a little. She's a good student who likes to party but still know where to draw the line. She's made a lot of friends and is working at making more and enjoying her time here.

Around The Grounds / The End or the Begining?
May 24, 2011, 02:57:08 AM
((OPEN!!!!!))

Zepha was late, which really wasn't as of late. She had managed to lose her since of time in the last two weeks. Normally this hadn't been to big of an issue but today was graduation, the most important day of her Hogwarts career.

She was hiking up her gown while running along the path to the lake. Underneath her gown she had on a simple white dress and white heels. Her hair, which had recently grown to her shouldurs, was wrapped into small bannana curls. Her bright green eyes were sparkling with excitment to finally be done, but also with the worry of not making it on time.

Finally she could see the small clearing next to the lake which was decorated ribbons of many different colrors. Her eyes glnaced over the different sections decorated for the houses. There were green and white ribbons drapped over the chairs for the Slytherins, red and gold for the Gryfindors, yellow and black for the Hufflepuffs, and finally she saw the blue and white section which is where she would be seated.

She ran up to where the graduates were lining up and stood at the end where her fellow W's were at. She dropped her gown down and let it drape over her feet, smoothing out the wrinkles and fiddling with her hair. Its finally here she thought the day I've been waiting for.

The music started and she began to walk down the isle, her smile beaming. After all of the struggles she'd been through she'd finally made it and this was her time.

The Hogs Head / Lonely Loves Company too...
April 25, 2011, 04:26:57 AM
((Open))

Zepha scuffed her feet on the ground, stirring dust, as she walked down the stone path that wound through Hogsmead. She had on a dark pair of old jeans, a navy blue shirt over a white cami, and white keds. Her gold braclet was clinking on her ankle and her tan messenger bag was slung over her left shoulder. Her short blonde hair hung in wavy chunks around her pale face, her bangs just barely hanging over her radiant green eyes. She wasn't exactly out to impress anyone and didn't care how she looked.

It was spring break, her last spring break. She couldn't afford to go home and didn't nessacarily want to, so she and a few other unlucky students were stuck strolling around the baisically empty campus. It was her seventh year, and she was seventeen, yet  she was still spending the break by herself.  She didn't mind though, it gave her plenty of time to study and think.

However on the third day of break she couldn't study for much more. Her eyes were sore from reading page after page, and the silence  was killing her.  She needed to get out and have some sort of human interaction; which is what lead her to this dusty path in Hogsmead. She walked along the street, smelling the smells and hearing the sounds of that were typical of Hogsmead. She wandered down the street, glancing into the shops and searching for a for someone she knew.

After walking around for about a hour Zepha'd seen a lot of faces. Happy familes, couples coo-ing over eachother, teenagers on break hanging with their friends; just none were familiar. As groups of people shuffled around she started to feel suffocated, and decided to slip into the bar; the one place where you could be by yourself and nobody would notice, nor care.

As she pushed open  the heavy door and the pugent smell of alchol and ashes hit her. She stood at the entrance  did a quick scan of the crowd. There were a lot of people in there, just none that she knew. She frowned and snuck over to a small table in the corner, one that was hard to notice if you weren't observant. This had been the spot that she retreated to a many of times when she felt lonely. She ordered a drink and slid down into the cool seat, letting the atmosphere soak in and relax her. Maybe it was the sound of peoples voices or the soft music in the background that made her feel comfortable. She smiled a small, almost unoticable, grin and pulled out a book. Yes, this little "outing" was deffinitly what she needed.

Ravenclaw / Stressed... (Open)
March 1, 2011, 09:46:21 AM
Snap! "Stupid pencil!" Zepha screamed, throwing the pencil at a bookshelf and collapsing her head into her hands. The librarian glanced at her with an evil glair and sternly shushed her. Zee mouthed a sorry as she got up to retrieve her pencil. She couldn't help it. She was stressed, confused, frustrated and who knew what else.

She sat back down and glanced at her homework. She didn't understand. Even though she had been at Hogwarts for a good two months now, she still struggled.  Sometimes she understood what the teachers were saying but other times, like now, she had no clue.

Zepha turned her focus back onto the book and sighed. She started scribbling down random answers, not even trying to make an educated guess. Finally once the page looked some what completed she shoved it in her book and slammed it shut. She pushed it aside and grabbed the next book on her giant stack of homework. Herbology  she read . This was another one of the classes she struggled with. Glancing at the clock, she realized that she had been in the library for two hours, only managing to get one assignment done.

Awesome she thought I'll be here all night.

((Sorry its short, I was running low on inspiration. ))

The Lake / Zap! -open-
February 7, 2011, 08:09:42 AM
Zepha needed to get out. The weather had been crummy, really crummy, for about the last two weeks. She looked around her room, trying to find something to use as an acscuse to get out. Finally something caught her eye, her wand. She picked it up and felt the smooth surface. She had gone with Stacey a couple of weeks ago to get and hadn't yet used it. She decided that there was no time like the present and decided to try it out. She grabbed her black pea coat and her grandmothers old diary and left.

As soon as she walked the cold hit her. It was obvious that it was cold, you couldn't see a person anywhere. She started heading toward the lake. She figured if something went wrong there wasn't much harm she could do out there.

When she got to the Lake she instantly pulled out the diary. She thumbed through the back untill she found a spell that she thought would be easy enough. She set the diary down on a rock then said "Wingardium Leviosa ". She smiled as the book started levitating above the rock.

The Hogs Head / Being Drunk is a lot like you *open*
January 28, 2011, 11:01:17 AM
As soon as Zepha opened the door, the strong smell of alcohol hit her like wall. She could see lots of people gathered around the bar and started to walk in that direction.

She was only 17, but she needed to be somewhere else for a while. Just get out of her own head. It was the aniverseray of the day her dad decided to come home and she couldn't look at a clock or calander without falling into a strong flashback. Anyway she was hoping the bartender wouldn't look her over that well, she did look old for her age and figured she could pass.

She walked up to an empty barstool in the middle of the bar and sat down. She glanced at the bartender who was busy at the moment. All of a sudden she started to flash back and had to blink back the tears. She rubbed under her eye and noticed that her mascara was running. She noticed the barteneder walking her way.

"What'll it be?" he asked. Either he didn't care or wasn't looking that hard. She took the opurtunity and ordered herself a beer.

.... two hours later

Zepha's head was throbbing and she hardly couldn't see. She had never been this drunk before, hell she hadn't ever been drunk before, and she was learning how much it sucked. She started rubbing her head and took another huge drink of beer. She thought getting totally wasted would help her forget when actually it just made her think about it more.

As the bar started clearing out she looked around for a familiar face, she needed help.

Hey guys!

In August I'm gonna turn 16! I'm extreemly excited to get my liscense being how we live in a rual town and there isn't public transformation. I appreciate you even reading this so... THANKS!!! :)

Ravenclaw / Play Till Your Heart is Healed (open)
January 22, 2011, 11:51:51 AM
Zepha stormed through the doors of Ravenclaw. She busted into the common room and colapsed in a heap on the couch. She was a bag full of mixed emotions and she didn't know what to do with herself.

She was homesick, she missed her mom and the way they used to talk for hours at night while watching crummy re-runs.

She was mad, no thats an understatment. She was pissed. She hadn't done anything since she arived here a month ago. The whole goal of coming to Hogwarts was to make a name of herself. Well nope she had done baisically the oposite. She was flunking tests left and right. She hadn't made a single friend, and even the lunch ladies seemed to hate her. She couldn't do anything right.

Suddenly a light shone on some dusty thing in the corner. It caught her eye so she went over and pulled off the old sheet. It was a piano. Suddenly she instantly felt better. Music was her life and she knew that playing this piano would be a good therapy for her. She didn't hesitate as she pulled out the bench and wiped the dust off with her hand. She slowly lowerd herself onto the seat and pulled up the lid. She rested her fingers on the keyboard for a moment, pondering over what song she would sing. She knew exactly what one.

She started to pluck out the first cord to one of her favorite songs, Boston. This song used to help her cope when she thought about her dad. She slowly started singing the lyrics...

In the light of the sun, is there anyone? Oh it has begun...
Oh dear you look so lost, eyes are red and tears are shed,
This world you must've crossed... you said...

You don't know me, you don't even care, oh yeah,
She said
You don't know me, and you don't wear my chains... oh yeah,

The more she played the louder she got. Suddenly she was singing in full fortisimo. Her voice was ringing out through the room, reverberating from wall to wall.

Essential yet appealed, carry all your thoughts across
An open field,
When flowers gaze at you... they're not the only ones who cry
When they see you
You said...

You don't know me, you don't even care, oh yeah,
She said
You don't know me, and you don't wear my chains... oh yeah,

She was getting more and more intense as the music poured out of her a small tear slid down her cheek. Wether this was a tear of joy or saddness or maybe even both she knew it was a start.

For Zee being at Hogwarts was bittersweet. She loved the fact that she didn't have to be at home, and she loved being at a place where people didn't give her pitty stares; but she hated the fact that she had zero friends. Granted, she used to like when nobody knew her name, but considering nobody knew about her here she wished had someone for company.

Instead of sitting in her room and feeling bad for herself Zee decided to go for a jog to clear her head, and maybe even bump into somebody. She threw on a pair of sweats, a green t-shirt, and her pair of running shoes and set off.

As she walked out the door of her dorm she realized a jacket may of ben a good idea. The wind was howling and it was starting to snow. Deciding that she would rather rough it out then sit in her dorm she took off. As she ran she noticed that nobody was outside, instead of heading back like she should've, she kept running.

It started snowing heavier and heavier and the snow started to fog her vision. She lost track of where she was going and knew that she was lost. Her fingers started to go numb and her nose felt like ice. She didn't want to turn back, because she didn't want to get more lost. She suddenly saw a small wooden shack and decided to step inside, figuring that she could ride out the storm till it got a little clearer.

Around The Grounds / First Day (open)
December 31, 2010, 06:27:15 AM
Slam. Zepha took a big sniff of the air as the car pulled away from the curb. This is it. This is Hogwarts. Her home away from home for the next year. She started lugging her one bag to her dorm, which acording to her map, was completely on the other side of campus. I'ts a good exscuse to get a good look at things she thought.

It was all so gorgeous. The beautiful stone buildings, the snow frosted trees, everything was just like she imagined; maybe even better. She pulled her new "going away" camara out of her bag. She thought it was weird that people gave going away gifts but she knew her mom had worked overtime to get her this, and it meant the world to her. She snapped a picture and sighed, "maybe it will be better here", she said out loud.

Role Play Character Bios / Zepha "Zee" Marie West
December 31, 2010, 05:32:32 AM
Name: Zepha Marie West (most call her Zee)

Age: 17

Height: 5'7

Appearance: Zee has creamy white skin with a birthmark on her wrist shaped as an arrow. Her hair is wild, bleach blonde, and styled in a choppy bob. Her eyes are a piercing emerald green with Small specks of gold. She has an athletic body with a small scar above her lip, which she is somewhat insecure about and tries to mask with makeup. Her style changes by the day. She likes the casual, comfy, cute, look most of the time. She always wears a gold bracelet around her ankle that her mother gave her the day she left home.

Race: She is strictly human.

Parents: Her mother is Harriet Lorait. She is a single mother who was abandoned by Zee's father the day she was  born.
Her fathers name is Frank West.
*Zee and her Mother live with Marie Lorait, Zee's maternal grandmother.

Personality: Zee is a like an onion. She has to be peeled back layer by layer if you want to get to know her. She has her insecurities and she uses those like a fence to keep people out. However when you do get to know her then she is loyal, kind, trustworthy, and honest. She keeps those who are close to her extremely close. Another thing about Zee is that she tends to be a pushover. She spends too much time trying to make everyone else happy and commonly gets hurt in the long run. She'll keep all of her negative thoughts inside until eventually something or someone pushes her hard enough, and then she spills everything.

Likes: Singing, dancing, or performing just in general. She loves to go for a run to clear out her head. She likes hanging with her friends, reading, and flat out just studying history books because she feels the past is the map of the future.

Dislikes: Liars, cheaters, and schemers. She can't stand algebra or science.

Fears: She has the greatest fear of failure. She is also somewhat scared of letting anyone close because she thinks they will hurt her like her father did.

History: She was born in a small town. She lived her whole life on the outside and her best friend was her mom. She was okay with the fact that her father didn't care enough to even write. She accepted it and lived her life happily. When she was 14 her father came back to try and pick up where he left off. He started hanging around Zee, who was eager to meet her father. She became very close with him and even took his last name, being how before she went by her mother's. Everything went well until her 16Th birthday when her father came home drunk one night. He started beating her and her mother, which is how she got her scar, and said things that shouldn't be repeated. Her mother kicked him out and he hasn't come back since. When he left Zee was a mess. How could someone she cared about do that her. Ever since then she's never let anybody close. She came to hogwarts to get out of her old town and try to start over.
