Jade sighed in frustration. "Would you please tell us what is bothering you?" She demanded, placing her hands almost angrily on her hips on a cliche fashion. She nearly stamped her foot, but realized that may cause their entire small group to erupt in laughter.

"I mean, I may not be the best at reading people, and I may not have known you for long, but I can tell something is wrong. You're practically having some sort of seizure." She said dryly, waiting for an explanation.

Arianna was pleasantly surprised that Avalee didn't seem shocked by her unnatural eyes, but she supposed that finding a girl sleeping on your boyfriend's grave was slightly more surprising that the color of her eyes. She made her face soft and friendly, trying to ease the girl's obviously racing mind. She looked flustered, confused and anxious. "I'm sorry, you found me where you did." She began, trying to gently ease into the conversation. "I'm Arianna. Arianna Adaine, and I've actually been looking for you... And I didn't know where else to find you, so I just waited here, thinking you'd eventually come."

Arianna wrung her hands together, trying to figure out how to continue. I'm returning to Hogwarts because... well I really don't know why, but I needed to. And I decided to start here with Axel, because he was the closest thing I had to a friend. He was nice and friendly and understanding. Then I found out he was dead, so I decided to find you. Yeah right. Ari almost laughed aloud. If she said that, Avalee would not only be anxious, but possibly think Arianna was crazy.

So she settled for a simple explanation. "I was a friend of Axel's, and when I graduated, I left Hogwarts for a while." Arianna paused for a moment, gauging Avalee's reaction. "I came back, because I guessed I just missed it here. Now, I find this..." She motioned, sadly towards the grave. "I guess I was hoping I could find some answers from you."

As soon as she finished her somewhat speech, Arianna sat down neatly on the ground again, farther away from Axel's grave than she was before.

The Three Broomsticks / Re: Sober. Anyone Else?
August 13, 2010, 09:41:02 AM
There was something about the way that Andy responded to the question that interested Jade. Maybe it was the way he suddenly snapped to attention, or the way that he suddenly looked at her like she knew too much. But mostly it was the way he didn't answer her question about whether he could walk away or not. He stated that something could have happened, but he didn't answer her question. She decided not to press it.

"Thanks." Jade responded. "I'd like to have a job here, but then again I wouldn't. If that makes sense?" She paused for a moment, trying to make sense of the swirling thoughts and emotions in her mind. "I'd like to have a say in what happened here, to prevent things if possible. But on the other hand, if something did happen and I didn't or couldn't stop it, I don't think I'd be able to forget that."

Jade looked down at the counter. "Sorry, I guess I'm a little shaken up about that boy killed in a bar a little while ago. I know that stuff doesn't happen a lot, but it's still so scary when it does."

Jade turned nervously to the boy she believed to be either Aaron or Alfonso. She wasn't sure which because names had never been her thing. The boy looked panicked and clammy.

She looked at him, raising her eyebrows. "Are you ok?" She questioned nervously. This boy definately wasn't looking like what Jade would define as ok.

((Okay, this is officially closed.))

Arianna started awake, looking at the person who had tapped her. It was a girl. A girl with sadness deep in her eyes and a tear stain on her cheek. Ari stood, stepping minutely away from the grave she had been laying next to and looked at the girl cautiously. "Are you Avalee?" She guessed, raising her eyebrows questioningly. She had asked the question merely out of formal politeness. Somehow she knew this was the girl she had been looking for.

Arianna looked the girl up and down, her eyes landing on the box in her hands. It looked expensive. It also looked foreign. She decided not to press as to what was in the box yet because they had just met.

Jade smiled happily. She liked Lillian, she seemed really nice and she inclusive. It felt nice to belong in a group of people, Jade noted as she walked through the door.

The air outside was crisp and rejuvinating. Jade raised her head to looked at the sky. It was beautiful.

"So, where exactly are we going?" She asked after a moment.

((Open, but Avalee requested?))

Arianna stared at the grave, her face emotionless. It was her best escape. She couldn't believe it, not one word of it. He hadn't died in a bar fight and he wasn't lying in the ground beneath her feet. It was all a dream. No, it was a nightmare and she would wake up any minute now. She closed her eyes and counted slowly to three, willing herself to wake up. But when she opened her eyes she saw the same name engraved on the stone. Axel Hampton.

Then she took off her sunglasses, her eerie green eyes, shining down on the grave. "You said you wanted to see my eyes." She murmured softly. "I just came back to late." Blinking almost erratically, Arianna stood. She had come back to Hogwarts, drawn by something strange that she didn't yet understand to find this? It was all wrong. He had been too alive the last time she saw him. His hair had looked too vibrant, and his voice had been too clear, kind and gentle for a dead man. The last time she saw him he had been alive.

She laughed aloud. She laughed maniacally. She laughed to cover up the fact that right now she was ripping apart inside. Axel had been the closest she had come to a friend here and now he was gone. She had even hoped she would be able to be more than a friend to him, but she was wrong again. She had heard the rumors in the bars about the heartbroken girl he had left behind. Arianna's heart went out to that girl. She must be experiencing more pain that Ari could possibly imagine. To have the one you loved, ripped away from you...

After spending a few more moments looking at the grave, Arianna stood, her resolve firm. She was going to find the girl. She was going to go and find the girl who she now admired for the strength she must have for carrying on after something like this. What was her name? Ah... yes, Avalee was her name.

Arianna looked out into the sea of headstones, seeing the occasional mourner. Having no idea where to look, she settled down next to the grave and closed her eyes, leaving her sunglasses by her side. Waiting here would be her best bet. She had to come here eventually right? "Good night... Good night forever." She said softly to the ground, her last good-byes for Axel spoken to a stone. A tear finally dropped to the ground as Ari tried to fall asleep, waiting for someone who may or may not come.

The Forest / Re: tree whisperer

Jade jumped nearly out of her skin, holding in a scream by a half second as she saw the figure that had just appeared out of no where. It was a girl. She didn't have a threatening air about her at all. In fact, she looked quite sad. There was a specific word for it, but Jade was unsure of what that word was at the moment.

After recovering from the initial shock of seeing this girl, Jade was able to process what she said. "Friend?" She questioned curiously. "I don't know you. My name is Jade, and we could be friends if I knew your name?"

Jade stood, continuing to study the girl's face trying to pin point the emotion she saw.

The Three Broomsticks / Re: Sober. Anyone Else?

(( Oh it's fine XD. And I swear writers block is contagious, now I have it! ))

Jade returned the smile out of courtesy more than out of sincerity. She hated bar fights because they were stupid, and a lot of the time, you had no idea why you were fighting the next day.

"Well, it didn't look as if anyone else was going to do anything." She sighed, watching the group of teens leave the bar.

"I like to think of life like it was one of those shows. You know the kind where they set up situations and video tape what people do. I want to be the kind of person that makes everyone go, 'Oh I wish I did that'. You know?" Jade paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts before she continued. "I want to be able to say that I did everything I could. I mean, even though it scared me out of my wits, walking over there, I did it."

Jade met Andy's gaze directly now, seriousness showing in her wide eyes. "I mean, what if they had started fighting, and someone got hurt? Or worse, someone died? Could you walk away from this bar, content, knowing there was something you could have done?"

Role Play Character Bios / Arianna Christine Adaine
August 11, 2010, 02:42:02 AM
Name: Arianna Christine Adaine

AGE: 20

Height: 5'5"

Appearance:

Just imagine bright green eyes.

Arianna is slim, but not somewhat sick looking as most models strive to be. She is average height, maybe a bit small, but not extremely so. She has smooth skin that tans easily, but doesn't burn, for which she is very thankful. One thing that defines her is the small beauty mark on her right cheek bone, it is just a shade lighter that her skin and almost disappears when she tans. She also has a small two inch long scar on the back of her neck and a small stud in her nose that she usually keeps a small diamond stud in.

She plays soccer and swims, thus; she is good at running and is toned, but not so muscular that you can just tell by looking at her. She had chocolate brown hair and side bangs. Her hair truns lighter in the summer and is almost black when wet. Her most prominant feature though, are her bright green eyes. She prefers to wear sunglasses though, because over the years, she has had many accusations because of her strange eyes.

RACE: Witch

Parents: Mark Adaine, Mckaella Adaine

Other relations: 2nd cousins with Jackie Saylem, with whom she was never really close with until she graduated Hogwarts.

Personality: Adrianna loves to swim and play soccer. She is very athletic and loves to be outdoors. She has a bubbly personality and puts herself out there sometimes, but is really terrified of rejection. Her favorite saying is you're disappointed everytime you don't try. She likes guys who have dark hair and are outgoing like her. Sometimes though, she can be really naive about things and needs someone to tell her what is going on.

Likes: The color blue, animals, guys who like animals, and guys who have a bit of an edge. Water, being in control of a situation, she also likes to take a break every now and then. Having to many things going on at once makes her certifiably insane.

Dislikes: People who hate animals, she also hates guys who are all appearence and no substance. Her biggest pet peeve is feet, though she is trying to get over it. She hates crowds and when guys hair is longer that hers. When that happens, something just isn't right.

Power: She is an animagus. She can turn into a bobcat with fur as black as midnight. She has been practicing almost obsessively her powers since leaving Hogwarts, determined to get better every day. This obsession has left her skills sharp and developed, including her fighting (hand to hand combat) skills. She almost always carries a switchblade somewhere on her person, which she found has brought her a small bit of security at all times.

History:
Arianna in her days at Hogwarts was somewhat of a wallflower and was intimidated by all the friendships everyone seemed to have. She never really grew close to any of the students which made leaving so much easier. Since she has gone to study muggle trades abroad, she has returned to Hogwarts once more, strangely drawn to the place where she had once quietly studied. Now she is somewhat determined to make up for those lonely days and make friends with all of the people she used to just watch.

Arianna's childhood was a strange one. When she was little she had muddy hazel eyes and her father, being the vain man he was wanted her to have brilliant eyes. He had disappeared one day and come back with a few instructions written on a piece of paper. The next day he had tried a spell on Arianna and had changed her eyes to the shining green that they are today, but they have caused her more pain than happieness. When people look at her shining green eyes, many shy away, but she has a few good friends who have gotten used to it and accepted her as she is.

Haha yeah. Only some of the super oldies know me as Mira hehe. Maybe Ginny remembers? That was when I was such a newbie and had no idea how to spell haha.

And thx. Good to be back =D

HEYHEY MIRA!

It's like, me, Ginny, Jessie and Sky who knows you as Mira?
It's funny when people get new characters, and people start to call them new names.
Many of you will know of Rhyme as Rhyme, but I know of him as Harry.
And Cho also changed names. And Isabelle. Is it Heather nowadays?

haha oh my gosh! i missed you albus!

The Forest / Re: tree whisperer

Jade glanced around her, straining her eyes. She was able to pinpoint where the sound came from and she narrowed her gaze, trying to determine what was there. Jade tried calling once more, but to no avail.

Her heart beat loudly in her chest and blood rushed in her ears.

Suddenly a furry figure that resembled a deer shot out of that spot. Jade didn't get a good look at it, but it was heading away from her. She sighed loudly, laughing at herself and sat on the ground again. Why had she been so scared, I mean what could be out there?

(Hey you guys! Really sorry to just join in, and feel free to kick me out hehe.)

Jade had been looking at the floor, and having managed to somehow get herself into every common room so far, she decided to return to her own. When she raised her hazel eyes from the floor, she noticed a group of four students close together talking somewhat in the center of the room. She quickened her pace, hoping to meet some new people.

As she came closer to the group, she got a better look at all of the people except the boy leaving. One boy and girl looked somewhat younger that the other boy, who had some sort of accent. Jade took a breath, pushing back her brown hair. "Hi." She said softly, annoumcing her arrival. "I'm Jade, what're you guys up to?"

"Yeah." Jade smiled, resting her arm on the bar and swiveling back and forth on her bar stool. "Well, 16 and a half, to be honest." She added after a moment, somewhat quoting him.

As Jade looked at Andy again, she couldn't help but notice that everything he did somewhat exuded confidence. She was about to say something when off to her left a loud 'HEY!' sounded off. She abruptly turned her chair to see what was going on, even though she was afraid she already knew.

Two obviously drunken teenage boys were facing off, a timid looking girl standing off to the side. Jade sighed, moving out of her seat and towards the crowd slowly. She looked at the girl on the sidelines. "Go on. Do something!" She hissed at the teen who looked to maybe be a year older than her. But no one acted their age when they were drunk so how old you were didn't matter. "Come on! You have to do something to stop them." She insisted quietly.

The girl nodded quickly and walked slowly towards the boys and started to say something. After a few tense seconds the boys lowered their fists and one stormed out of the bar. Jade returned to her seat after the bartender gave her a greatful smile. She returned the smile and looked at Andy. "I come here too often." She explained lightly, pushing her brown hair back from her face. "Stuff like that happens here often enough, that I guess you just get used to it."
