Matt was up late that night trying to think of anything that could pass the time. He had already spent three hours on some Charms and DADA homework that was due the next morning, but was havimg  mental block on those subjects so he just gave up. It was much to cold to try and do anything outside so he just went down into the common rom to sit in front of the fire thinking about the next day. He sat there for a little while just levitating small things with his wand to pass the time. 

Matt had taken his homework down to the forest that day to finish because it was always so quiet here. He figured every one would be close to the fire on this rainy and freezing day. He had just finished and was playing around with the dead limbs on the ground making them float and tried to build something. He almost did until he heard something or someone behind him and lost focus. 

What (in your own opinion) makes the Harry Potter books so addicting and what makes you just keep flipping the page and read more?

Matt was out walking about the forest enjoying some of it's beauty and the fresh air. It was a very hot day so he was in a bright orange sleeve-less shirt, a pair of brown cargo shorts, and a pair of black Nike's. In his hand he was carrying a book about the history of medieval wizards. He came across a lake bed with a beautiful shore and some tree's for some shade. Matt said to himself. "This is perfect,". Matt walked under the tree's, sat down and got comfortable, and started to read. 

Today was Matt's first time in Hogsmead and had no idea what to do or where to go. He was really hoping he might meet some of the other people he knew. It was a nice day outside so he wore an old shirt with the sleeves cut off, some athletic shorts, and his favorite pair of Nike's. He looked around frantically trying to find a familiar face, but couldn't see anyone.

Matt was inside the Gryffindor common during the afternoon reading a book. The weather was nice out so he had a bright orange sleeve less shirt, some old cargo shorts, and of course his favorite pair of Nike's. He really didn't know anybody yet so he just sat in one of the big comfortable chairs and started to read a book when someone came in.

Appearance:Matt has light brown short hair, but when he's outside in the sun it shines red. He has very pale skin and it also shines when he's outside. He has long skinny legs and looks like a toothpick from a side view.

Personality: Matt is a very nice guy that usually minds his manners for that's how he was raised. Usually one that wouldn't be found in a fight' but when agitated or annoyed a lot he'll lose his temper. Matt is also shy around the girls he will sort of keep quiet around them until he gets used to it. Likes to be challenged with puzzles or mysteries and loves to read about history.

Power:Normal Wizarding powers and is also an animagus. His animagus is a white spotted lynx
History:All of his life Matt and his family lived in England and were very poor and had to get a job at the age of eight. His father was never nice to him and sometimes even beat him. Throughout his early life he had to work with his dad at a farm to get by as best they could. As he grew up he learned to do things by himself and how to live by himself. One night he got his letter to Hogwarts and of course his father said that was just crazy talk and that Matt wasn't going any where. So that night he snuck out was picked up by the Night Bus an was taken to Hogwarts.
