SPOILERS FOR BOOK 6 BELOW
Okay...that was a wierd deal when Harry is chasing Snape and Snape just keeps blocking his spells and won't let anyone harm him. I mean Snape clearly killed Dumbledore..and I don't care if he has an excuse in the end or not. I still really wonder though if somehow in the end he'll help Harry or what not.
Also there's Draco, we all know he didn't want to kill Dumbledore and told Dumbledore himself the only reason he was doing any of that was because his family and himself were threatened with death.
Harry is clearly going to have to be working on Occlumency and Legilimency if he's going to stand any chance against Snape let alone Voldemort.
Anyone else have any thoughts? I have some more just have so much running through my head right now I can't really get it out. I just finished HBP.

Even though we won't know for sure, I'd say Snape is a good guy.

i think snape's a good guy......dumbledore comes back and like saves harry in the end or something like that...(which would be pretty cool to read about!)

Nope... JKR has confirmed that Dumbledore is really dead. Of course, there are ways he can still linger... Too many ways to guess, we should just wait for the book ;D
well, in an interview with daniel he said that he walked in to the set one day and j.k. rowling came in all frusturated and he said that she said this, "dumbledore has been giving me a lot of trouble!!" this she said while she was writing the seventh....so i don't know who to beleive....i guess we all have to just wait and see!!!
This is what I heard about that particular conversation. On the set of HP5 (movie), JK to Radcliffe that "Dumbledore's giving me a lot of trouble."
So, Radcliffe asked "But... Isn't he dead?". JK said "Yes, but it isn't as simple...". Then Dan covered his ears and went "I DON'T WANNA KNOW!" ;D
that's the same interview that i was talking about.....i just didn't feel like typing it out like that!!!
so i think that means that dumbledore's not dead....if he's giving her problems like that!!!
Nah, she might have problems cleaning up his corpse, or a sticky bit of history to deal with... But she's specifically stressed everywhere that Dumbledore has completely dieded.

i guess we just have to wait until it comes out........adn then we'll both know that i was right and that dumbledore is ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

I think he'll come back as a ghost.
ok, i guess i can kind of beleive that........but if he comes back as a ghost.....he'll probably be allowed to do magic.....that would be cool
i don't know if dumbledore came back as a ghost but it might be a possibility because in the magic world nothing is impossible ;D

Only the people who are not the happiest come back to be ghosts. If Snape is good than that means Dumbledore was ready to die. He said in PS that to the well organized mind, death is just the next great adventure or something like that. So assuming Snape is good, he was ready to die and probably won't come back as a ghost.
But remember his portrait might come into play and there's also his brother Aberforth.
I want Dumbledore to come back at least in ghost form. :'(
i surprisingly don't! i would rather have him fully dead, or fully alive!
back to him bein able to use magic i think it wouldn't be possible for a few reasons but the main one is that we never hear about binns (the teacher/ghost)ever using magic or any other of the ghosts at the castle like murtle or the bloody baron plus the holding wand thing i think would be a problem because they wouldnt be able to get a grip they'd just keep droppin it so i dont think he can physicly help harry but he could still teach him without the use of magic plus he could probably give great moral support to the wizard world but i do agree that it would be great for him to come back in ghost form.

I think he is already back in book 6 - as a picture in the headmasters office.
Only problem is, I don't know how much of the character survives in these pictures.
Agreed.Most of the pictures just make witty sarcastic observations.Some of them send messages...We've never really seen a solid example of a Portrait with personality,except sirius's uncle.
yes because we dont know if any of these pictures have any memory af what they did when they were alive or atleast they dont show it but it is a good point to be made

Alright before any of you give any kind of credance to these so called posted sections from the E-book. I have it on good authority that only....thats ONLY.....TWO(2)(DEUCE) Main characters are dying in the Seventh book.

JK Rowlings herself....given during an interview with Sun Media(the real news paper in north america not the tabloid). The interview stated that she was crying when she finished writing the book.

what i didn't understand is it says that in england there are 608 pages in it. and in US theres like 756 or something like that.

My husband, who is so practical, said that I should go ahead and read the last chapter first ... that way I wont rush through the rest of the book trying to get to the end. Thats what I usually do with HP.

ok, so at the end of the seventh book, anyone notice how voldemort made sooooo many mistakes and he had always been so.. thorough?
1:when voldemort and harry "wake up" in the forest and harry is supposedly dead, old voldy didnt check harry himself, or at least hav someone he truely trusted do it. instead sinse he was too into his ego (and fear) he had the woman he had it out for do it.
2:he kidnapps a wandmaker to tell him all he can know about harrys and his wands connection and about the death stick, and still he doesnt know the detail that "happens" to be one of the most important points in the book.- you dont hav to kill the previous owner, just master them. voldemort is stupid.
