Still think they have something to do with each other. Mundungus is, and is referred to, as a crook. Shanks can mean a lot o stuff, and i still havent come up with some satisfying translation...

Crookshanks IS NOT an animagus.  Just FYI, Like I said he is part cat and part Kneazle.  Look in the magical creatures book, for the potter realm, to find ot what a Kneazle is.  I can not tell you because JK wants ppl to buy the book because most of the royalties from that book goes to less fortunate children.  So please, stop the madness hear.  CROOKSHANKS IS MOST DEFINATELY NOT AN ANIMAGUS>
