DEVIL"S PUPPET

It's the Seventh year at Hogwarts for Kiara, Max and the rest.  Kiara and Max have had a falling out.  Seems he broke a promise to her, deceived her, just as the Prophecy had always foretold.  Now, what is happening to them, what will happen to Kiara, will she go to her father as the Prophecy states, or will something totally different happen now that the Shadow is dead and she has been possessed by the Archangel?

This story is currently being written and will be out soon, perhaps with in the next few days.  I hope you all enjoy.

Ok, sorry for this one Max but you almost asked fr it.  lol.  Luvs - n stuff

Chapter 1  Deceived and an intruder

Kiara woke up form a night of fun with Max, she stepped into the shower and got ready for the day.  She thought about how late they had stayed up and how he seemed a little different, more aggressive perhaps but shrugged it off and started down stairs.

"Don't tell her Ginny.  If she found out I had been drinking, after the promise I made.."  Max left the words hanging and hoped, Ginny wouldn't say anything.

"Don't worry Max, I wont say a thing."

Kiara came down stairs and smiled at them then went over and gave Max a kiss of greeting and instantly knew he was drinking last night.  She didn't want to believe he'd lie to her like that, however, she had to make sure.

"Ready for breakfast Max?"

"Sure, a cup of coffee would be great right now."  Max replied then instantly knew his mistake.  He never drank coffee, he only hoped Kiara wouldn't notice.

Kiara walked over and kissed him once more, tasting the stale alcohol on his lips.  She didn't say anything then turned and started towards the porthole to go to breakfast.

"Oh, how about a nice plate of eggs and bacon?  Then perhaps a few shots to go along with it."

Kiara walked through the porthole with an air of anger written about her.  Max looked at her and sighed, knowing he messed up immediately and followed in her wake.

The breakfast didn't go well at all, Kiara wouldn't so much as look at him and any attempt at an apology from him only resulted in a low growl by Kiara.

Finally, Kiara stood and left the hall, her anger at Max for deceiving her into thinking he loved her enough to stop drinking so much, gaining on her as she went.

Max rose and followed.

"Kiara wait.  Kiara..."

His words hit her like an unwanted touch from some one unknown to her.  Kiara kept walking, growling to his attempts and walking faster, not towards the common room but up to the West tower, she felt she needed silence just now and could think of no place better then her father's room, where no one, not even Dumbledore could reach her.

Max reached her side and grabbed her arm and turned her around to face him. What he saw in her eyes made him step back form her for the first time ever.  The coldness, the hatred and the anger with in her was suddenly very apparent and she held nothing of her anger from him.  Max wasn't sure of himself, this was the first he had ever seen Kiara look upon him as if she wanted nothing more than to be rid of his existence.  Never before had he known why people feared her so much, not ever, that is until now.  The sheer coldness from her gaze sent chills colder than ice down his spine.  He knew now what was meant when people said she was untouchable.

"Kiara I said I was sorry, what more do you want?"  Max managed bravely despite the fact that he suddenly found himself shivering under her gaze and scared of her for the first time ever.

Kiara Johnson

"I want you to leave me alone, how long have you been lying to me?  You never did stop, did you. All the time we shared together, you were drunk, I don't know you from a hole in the wall Max." A low growl escaped her throat and her eyes started to change to the deep, endless black of the Archangel then quickly turned back to normal again.  "Our lives, our relationship, our love, it's all a lie, how could you have done this to me.  I'll never let you in again.  Good bye Max Johnson"

Max was stunned, he couldn't move or even think of anything but her last words.  She'd never let him in again.  What had he done.

Kiara stared into him for several moments, everything seemed to go silent, even the castle it's self seemed to momentarily loose it's magic and the people in the halls seemingly came to a halt, nothing stirred as Kiara and Max looked upon each other.

The pain Max held at that moment, knowing he'd done exactly what had been prophesized, was greater than any known by any living creature.  How could he have not realized it?  His expression changed to that of total loss as he stared at her.  There was nothing he could do, nothing he could do to fix what he had done.  Despite all the warnings, despite all the careful stepping around, trying to be sure he'd not fulfill this one prophecy, he unknowingly did just that..  Unknowingly, he had not only lost Kiara but, what would happen to this world as they all loved it?  If anything happened now, it would be his fault and the horror of that alone was enough to make him  try, one last time.

"Kiara, please, give me.."

"I think not Max, you are nothing but a lie to me.  The last 2 years of me life have been spent living a lie."  Kiara answered then with a growl, and with the speed of lightning, she pushed her hand forward, sending Max flying to meet the far off wall down the hall and slide to unconsciousness to the hard, cold floor.

Kiara stormed off up the stairs to her room and the door swung open for her, as it always did.  Kiara turned and pushed it shut making the entire castle shudder with it's finality.

Kiara slid down the door, her back against it until she was sitting.  She hit the ground with her fist and growled again.  No tears came to her eyes, she couldn't make herself cry over the loss of someone who kept his love of something else over the love of her.

The room glowed it's golden light as always and things were quiet.  The only sound that could be heard was the eternal humming of the, now closed, porthole her father often used to enter this room and talk with her, make her do his bidding.  Kiara looked at it now, whishing for all the world that her father would come through there, she'd go to him now, what else was here for her.  Max was found to be a lie, her world was now and forever worthless.  Those were the thoughts running through her head  when she was surprised at the sound of a voice in the room.  A voice that didn't belong there, one she didn't know.

"Is there a problem?  Are you ok?"  the voice seemed to echo through her head.

Kiara looked up sharply, wondering how some one could have entered here.  She felt suddenly violated by the presence.  She had always kept this room as a get away from the rest of the world. To have an intruder, no matter who; it was unforgivable, or so she thought.

"Nothing of your concern.  Who are you to approach me anyway?  How'd you gain access to my room>?"  Kiara answered , looking up with a venom only seen in a cobra ready to strike down it's prey.

"I was here before you even showed up."  The male voice answered her in a callous tone.

Kiara saw him now, she narrowed her eyes, not taking in what he looked like, only seeing the figure of a male standing some distance from her.  She was more than a little put off at his intrusion.  She wanted to be alone, to stay away from anyone wanting to make conversation with her.

The male paused a moment before choosing his next words.  It was as if he knew she didn't want him there, as if he seemed to know exactly what she was thinking.

"I suppose it would have something to do with my father."  the male voice said in reply.  This time with less callousness than before.

Kiara's mind began to turn into over drive.  Her father had placed this room here for her, no one else was supposed to be able to enter it, once it was discovered.  Who was this guy who was able to intrude upon her safety.  Who was this that could seem to see into her room as if the door had been left open for him to creep into?

"My father put this room here for me, no one..."  Kiara paused and narrowed her eyes, studying him as well as she could. With the glowing from the gold encrusted walls of the room, he seemed some how unreal.

"Hang on, who are you?"

The guy began to look off to the side, not looking into her eyes.  He seemed to want to avoid telling her who he was.  Suddenly, he took a deep breath.

"My father is..."

"Go on.  you're standing in the room of the Dark Lords daughter and she wants answers from you.   Please, humor me."  Kiara said, now not taking her eyes off this intruder.

"Name's Evan.  My father is Satan."  He finally confessed with an honesty only known from one under a truth potion.

Kiara, being able to read people, knew instantly that he was not lying to her.  She stood now, and took a step towards him.  Not really realizing she had.  Her anger temporarily forgotten in the mystery of this new person.

"Really?  How interesting..."  Was her reply.  She had no other words to offer him.  She was truly fascinated by his response, knowing it to be truth by the simple sound of his heart beating in his chest.

"I'm serious.  I don't lie to you.  I have no reason to do so."  Evan replied honestly.

"I am not doubting your word Evan.  Why are you in here?'  Kiara said, taking another involuntary step towards him.

Suddenly, Kiara realized the totally innocent look about him.  His blond hair and his beautiful blue eyes.  She instantly distrusted him.  No one that angelic looking could be good for her.  She didn't scare though, instead, she became even more intrigued by him.  Hs let her eyes wander over his perfect body, noticing how his shoulders sloped away from his neck in a hard, masculine way.  Also, she noticed how strong his arms looked under his shirt.  To her, he couldn't have been more perfectly built.

To distract her self, Kiara picked up a golden trinket next o her and began to turn it in her hands, concentrating on how the statue felt heavy in her grasp and the tingling feeling she got from it's power ste with in it by her father.

:Kind of neat how this place glows gold along with it's contents."  Kiara finally said, not liking and feeling quite nervous now by the awkward silence in the room.

"I am sorry for my earlier actions.  You must understand, this room has been given to me by my father and it is the only place I can go to if I truly want to be alone.  No one, not even Dumbledore can reach me here.  I am cut off from all the thoughts and longings of other people here.  That is why I was more than  a little put off at our presence.  I truly do apologize for my rudeness."  Kiara stated quite literally.  "What are you doing here?  You don't attend this school, I would have noticed you if you did."  Kiara finished, once again letting her eyes stray over his muscular body.  She couldn't keep her mind off him.  It almost scared her how she found him so intriguing.  Suddenly she thought she knew the answer.

"He's an angel"  She thought to herself.  The notion coming to her like a flood raging through a town filled with screaming peasants.

"You would have?"  Evan answered a bit amused. "I only just started this morning.  I transferred here from Durmstrang.  My mother needing to relocate."  He finished.

Kiara took a final step to him.  She now stood inches from him, her eyes locked in his gaze of perfectly colored pools of endless power for a moment before tearing them away.

"have you had the tour yet?"

Evan smiled.

"No, but I wouldn't mind it if you gave me the tour."  he said a bit suggestively, countering his innocent looks.

Kiara smiled then turned towards the door and started to walk away, turning slightly to regard him.  He locks of dark reddish-black hair cascading down to flirt with her beautiful features.

"You coming then?"  She asked almost playfully.

As she looked upon him, his expression became pale and almost scared, as if he was tying to hold something within himself.  Then he suddenly collapsed to the floor.

Kiara ran over to him, she fell at his side, reaching out to touch his shoulder.

"Evan, are you ok?  Evan?"

Chapter 2  Out of Control

Evan opened his eyes, smiled at Kiara, stood up, then muttered something about someone being ok, Kiara didn't really notice and they walked out of the room together.

Ginny Weasley was standing out side the room, waiting for Kiara to come out.  She sees this unknown guy with her and narrows her eyes.

"Kiara, are you ok?  Who's this and how did he.."  Ginny started but was cut short.

"I'm fine Ginny and this is Evan, never mind how he got in there."  Kiara replied sharply.

"What happened to Max?  I saw him laying unconscious on the ground and you walking up the steps.  Kiara?  What's going on?"  She asked genuinely concerned.

Kiara growled at the mention of Max and then narrowed her eyes.

"Nothing, never mind and as far as Max is concerned, who cares.  Now, I have things to do.  I'll see you around later."  Kiara replied in a growling tone then, she took Evan by the arm and walked off.

Ginny watched her go, she knew Kiara and Max must have had a major falling out and she also knew that it was a bad thing.  She wasn't sure what to do but thought the only ting to do was to try and get them back together but, who was this Evan and where did he come form?

"What were you doing in that room and how, did you get there Mr. Evan?"  Ginny whispered to herself as she walked  down the stairs, not far behind the other two.

Max stirred.  Someone was talking to him, he couldn't make it out just yet.

"Max, come on Max, get up.  You have to get up."

Max opened his eyes, his vision a bit blurry for a moment but quickly returned.

"Ginny?  What..."  He started then went pale.  "What have I done?  Where is she?"

Kiara started to round a corner.

"Ouch watch it!"   Kiara growled.

Lavender Potter had come around the corner at a fast pace and ran right into her.  Lavender's mood was already angry so she didn't bother to apologizes, instead she jabbed her thumb at Evan asking who he was.

"Evan, this is Lavender, you'll notice her rudeness, get used to it."  Kiara growled, not liking the tone she used at all.

Kiara was beginning to have trouble controlling the devil like Archangel inside her and one could just make out a fuzzy line of her devilish, dragon type wings and the look she held Lavender in was less than friendly.

Lavender clenched her fists,  her anger growing by the second.  Normally, she would have noticed Kiara's dead eyes and would have backed off.  Being the closest thing to Kiara's sister and one of her best friends, Lavender should have known better than to start something but, she had already had a bad day and didn't pay attention to the warning signs.

"Kiara would now all about that.  My apologies."  Lavender came back with a certain venom in her voice.

Kiara put on the most evil of smiles.

"I am sorry Evan, do to bad breading Lavender has not learned her place in society as of yet."  Kiara retorted, hitting Lavender where it would hurt most, her parents.

Lavender then did exactly what Kiara wanted, she pushed her.  Kiara stumbled back and fell to the floor, turning into her Archangel form fully now.

Kiara stood, her wings stretched wide, her endless, black eyes absorbing any light daring to try and enter them.  Suddenly, Lavender was hurled backwards by a bolt of lightning.  Kiara advanced on her, holding her in a blanket of electricity, Lavender twitched on the ground, unable to scream out and feeling nothing but great pain as she fought to hold consciousness, knowing if she blacked out, she'd be dead.

Kiara, loosing some of her anger through the attack, realized what she was doing and stopped it almost as quickly as she had started it.  She then took a step back, her eyes unreadable through their blackness.

Lavender, being quite possibly the strongest willed person Kiara had ever known in her life, surprisingly stood, although shakily, refusing to let darkness over take her in front of an adversary.  She leaned against the hard stone wall of the castle and glared at Kiara.

"Sisters we have been, this is what I get in return for my loving you this way.  Wasted time is what it was, wasted..."

Lavender then turned her back and walked back around the corner, disappearing to a safe place to fall to the cold ground and pass out.

Kiara watched her go with dead eyes.  She then turned to Evan and growled.

"Let's go."  She said between clenched teeth.

Evan searched her eyes his own brilliant blue ones finding what he was looking for.  He smiled peacefully into her then laid a hand on her shoulder.

"Ok."

Kiara felt a warming calm come over her at his touch.  She relaxed, her angel form sliding away, slowly at first then it was gone.  Never had anyone but Max had that effect on her.  Kiara was suddenly confused as to how he could do the same thing to her.  Also, she wondered, why, if he had this effect on her, did he allow her to attack Lavender like she had.

She seemed to not be able to concentrate on the why and just as quickly as she began the thought of why, it was gone and she once again took Evan by the arm and led the way around the school to show him what was where and who was who.
