hey, i have a first print too! my dad's in the army, so we move alot...when we were living in germany, my mom got it for me! on the spine of the books, u know how it syas what year there in, well, first print's of the first book don't have the thing that says year 1.

How do you know you have a first addition? ??? Is it where it says "First American Edition"? *shrug* I guess I do too! ^^;

At the bottem of the copyright page. Book 1 says "First American edition, October 1998". :)
