OK, this story isn't about Kiara it's about another but read it, I think it's good

Draco's Longing

Draco Malfoy sat at the dining table in the Great Hall with is friends.  The buzzing of their voices in his ears was barely noticed, he was in another place.

Sandra talked with her friends at the Ravenclaw table, she was a 17 year old beauty.  Her long flaxen hair cascaded down her back and shone in the lights from above like an angels.  Her piercing green eyes seemed to sparkle with a light known only of precious stones.  Well, that's the way Draco saw her any way.

All summer he kept bumping into her, all summer he dreamt of actually talking to her, saying something other than excuse me.  She seemed out of his league, she seemed like she'd never notice him.  His heart ached to think that she would be going to the Yule ball this year with some one else.  His eyes surfed over the crowded hall to notice the one she'd been going out with for now a whole year, Harry Potter.

Draco narrowed his eyes and growled.  This reaction made his friends at the Slytherin table jump and stare at him.

"What is it Draco?"  Pansy's voice echoed, unwanted in his mind.

Draco glared at her. Pansy, the one who his father had made a promise he'd marry.  Pansy, the only girl in the walls of Hogwarts he hated more then even Harry Potter.  He hated how weak she was, hated how she always tried to please him, he hated her dark, flat colored hair and her annoying love for him.

"Nothing."  Draco snapped and then returned to his dinner, picking at it.  His hunger no longer felt in the depths of his longing to have the girl of his dreams.  The girl that Harry Potter had, just one more thing he didn't.

Chapter 1

"So, have you and Harry, well, you know?"

Sandra blushed.

"No, we haven't Ella. "  She replied, hitting her best friend with a pillow.

The two girls laughed.  Then, Sandra became very quiet.

"Ok, spill it girl, what's going on?"

"Oh, I don't know Ell.  It just seems that there's something missing between us.  I can't explain it."  Sandra replied, taking her own pillow and scrunching it under her head to prop it up.

"I'll tell you what's missing San.  It's romance.  Harry doesn't have one single romantic bone in his entire body."  Ella replied seriously.

Sandra sighed..  She knew Ella was right, but she thought she loved Harry anyway.  She tried to think of moving on with out him but it hurt too much.  There had to be something she could do.

"Ron, what do you think about Sandi and me?"  Harry asked as he and Ron started up the stairs to the boys dorm.

"Where di that come from Harry?  I thought the two of you were doing great."

"I don't know, she seems to be distancing herself from me.  Maybe we should have, well, you know, when we all went camping this summer, maybe then, things would be different."

"What!  You two didn't?  Everyone thought you had.  Wow, so then, you two just, slept, like you said then?"  Ron answered, a bit disappointed in his friend.

"Don't look at me like that, you know how she feels about that.  We should wait till we get married.  Not all of us are like you and Hermione you know."  Harry laughed as he opened up the dormitory door.

"Well, not everyone is as lucky as me I guess."  Ron shrugged as he flopped down on his bed.

"Ya, well, I think I'll bring it up again.  I really want to you know.  Do you think it's a bad idea, considering how she feels about it?"

"No, not at all, she's being selfish, thinking of herself only and not what you want.  I think that if she doesn't, you should look else where, like maybe Luna, she wants you, you know that, right?"  Ron replied.

"Ya, maybe."  Harry said as he too flopped down in his bed.

"You know San, perhaps you should, well, you know.  Maybe that's what Harry wants.  You could at least think about it."  Ella said as she laid on her own bed, eyes closing.

"Ella, you know I don't want that.  If that's all that's important to Harry then I guess he'll have to find it else where."  Sandra replied as she too, closed her eyes and began to drift off to sleep.

After all else had gone to bed for the night, Draco slipped own into the common room and sat at the fire, watching it as it flickered and burned the wood that never seemed to die.  He wondered how he could make Sandra like him.  Also, he wondered how he could possibly take Harry out of the picture.  He wanted to be the one to take Sandra to the Yule Ball and to be the one she walked with during the Graduation ceremony.  Could he do it?  He had his doubts but he had to try.

Chapter 2

Draco walked down the Hall, he was late for potions class.  His first time ever.  He had fallen asleep early in the morning and no one even bothered to wake him up.  His mood was lees than jovial when he ran into some one.

"Watch were your going you oaf!"  He growled.

"Well excuse me Mr. Clumsy but I believe it was you who ran into me."

Oh no, it was Sandra and he had just called her an oaf.  He looked at her, his angered gaze softening to that of a puppy, almost immediately.

"I'm sorry."

"What?  Draco Malfoy said sorry.  Oh this is rich."  Sandra replied, still a little annoyed at being called a name.

"Really, I am sorry.  I just, well I thought maybe you were..."

"Hold it Malfoy."  Sandra interrupted.  "Stop, this is too weird.  No more apologies, hey, you late too then?"

Draco gave a kind of half-hearted laugh.

"Ya, I over slept and no one bothered to wake me up."

This was weird for Sandra, talking to Draco like he was any other person.  He was Draco Malfoy, after all.  Harry's worst enemy.  She shrugged it off.

"Well, that would explain the rude nature of our meeting then, wouldn't it."  She smiled at him.

Draco nearly fainted at her smile.  She looked more beautiful than anything he could think of.

"Hum, shouldn't we be getting to class Draco?  I mean, I know we're getting detention as it is, might as well get it over with, right?"  Sandra said, feeling a little odd at the way he was looking at her.

"What?  Oh, ya, lets go."

Sandra and Draco entered the dungeon class room together.  Harry looked over at them, his mouth almost dropping open at he sight.

"Well what do we have here then?  You're late."  Snape's voice snapped trough the sir as he marched over to the pair.  "Take your seats, 10 points each taken from your House and detention, you'll see me after class.  Now, where were we before we were so rudely interrupted..."  Snape continued.

Draco gave Sandra a little smile and went to his seat.  Sandra held in a laugh as she went to hers.

After class, and after Snape had handed out the detentions, Harry waited for Sandra to come out then took her aside.

"What was that all about?"  He accused,.

"Excuse me.  What do you mean, that?"  Sandra asked, not knowing what his problem was.

"You know, you and Draco, of all people, walking in class, together and late?  I wondered where you were.  I guess now I know."  Harry stupidly accused again.

Sandra didn't move she just stared at him for a long time before finally shaking her head and grinning.

"You're jealous.  How sweet."  She chided.

"You didn't ..Oh my, I'm so sorry Sandi.  I didn't.."

"Oh Harry, don't worry about it, I just can't believe you'd think that I, that Draco, Oh hang it all Harry, lets get to class before I get another detention."  Sandra smiled.

Sure, she was angry at the accusation he had made, but a the same time, a little happy that she had made him jealous.  She took his hand and they walked to class.  She didn't tell him that she'd be spending her detention with Draco, only that it'd be tomorrow night.

Draco leaned against the wall and watched them, not believing Sandra didn't read him the riot act.  Oh how he wished she would have.

"Lets go Draco, we're going to be late."  Pansy's voice interrupted him.

"Ya, ok. Lets go."  Draco replied more than a little dryly, averting is gaze from the girl of his dreams and looking at Pansy.

Chapter 3

After dinner that night, Sandra walked to Harry's table and kisses his cheek.

"Well, I guess it's the dungeon for me now.  I'll see you tomorrow, if I live."  She winked.

Harry grabbed her around the waist as he stood.

"Be nice to Snape now.  He's just a lonely man with nothing better to do than pick on his students."  Harry kissed her back.

Ron nudged Harry.  Than whispered to him, something Sandra couldn't hear.

"What, secrets you two?"  Hermione asked, standing too with the others.

Harry grinned then turned back to Sandra.

"I'll see you after your detention, we need to talk."

"Ok."  Sandra offered as a reply, not sure she really liked the sound of that.

Sandra left the Hall and headed for her house, all the while she felt eyes on her but never turned to see who it was.

Draco watched the whole meeting of Harry and Sandra after dinner.  He watched the way Harry so recklessly wrapped his arms around her waist as he stood and how unaffectionate he seemed toward her.  She deserved more that that.  He followed her out of the Hall and I the corridor.  He watched her, following her until she entered her porthole to her House and then he continued further down the corridor to the Slytherin House Common room where he threw his stuff, un ceremoniously on to the couch and sat,.

"Draco, want me to take these to your room?"  Pansy's voice echoed in his head again.

"Ya, why don't you just do that."  Draco replied rather peevishly, hating once again, her weakness.

Pansy picked his things up from the couch, her hair brushed against his arm as she did, sending goose-bumps over his skin.  Not the good ones that he so often heard others talk about when they held the one they loved, but terrible ones, the ones that made you want to throw up.

He jerked his arm away and stood.

"Just drop them off then get out of there.  I need to change."  Draco snapped.

"What ever you want Draco."  Pansy replied.  "But if you really wanted, I could help you with that too."  A suggestive smile spread across her lips.

"No I think I'll do fine on my own Pansy, thanks anyway, I think that Grabbe was looking to relieve his stress, why don't you go share yourself with him?"  Came Draco's nasty reply.

Pansy looked hurt at first but she put on a smile non the less.

"Ok Draco, what ever you wish."  Then she turned and walked up to his dorm room to deposit his belongings where he wanted.

Draco sighed and sat back down again, letting his eyes close slowly as he tried to remember the way Sandra smelled as they walked together, late, for potions earlier that day.

Thinking about her always seemed to relax him, thinking of how she smiled, the way her voice sounded when she laughed and most of all, how beautiful those eyes were and how he wanted them to see him for more than just another person, walking amongst all the others.

After an hour, Draco stood and went to his room to change for detention.   He was head boy in his house so had his own room, much the same as Sandra, although she always seemed to share it with her best friend.

He walked to his trunk and opened the lid, taking out his Muggle type clothing.  They were allowed to wear it after classes were finished for the day.  As he laid his jeans, neatly on his bed he noticed a lump, he sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Pansy, I told you to leave."

"I know, but I thought that this might change your mind."

Pansy slid the covers down from her chin to reveal her naked body.  Draco's eyebrow raised with interest.  He'd not realized her body was so, nice.

"You like what you see, don't you Draco?  Most guys do.  I'll be here for you when your punishment is over.  Think of it as sort of a prize, for having to endure the night with that Ravenclaw girl." Pansy smiled at him.

Draco let his eyes run over her body for a moment then shook his head.

"Ok Pansy, I'll see you in a few hours then."  He replied.

He may not have liked her but he wasn't about to pass up a chance t hit that.  He wasn't stupid.

Sandra arrived at the dungeon class room, waiting for both Snape and Draco.  She leaned against the wall and sighed.

"OK, where are you, I want to get this over with."  She said softly.

She didn't have to wait long, Professor Snape and Draco came around the corner shortly after, Snape glaring at her through those dead black eyes of his and Draco, trailing right behind. A sort of far away expression on his face.

"Ok, get in here."  Snape snapped, opening the door to the classroom.

Sandra and Draco stepped in.

"Ok, because you were late to my class, I want you to clean this room, top to bottom and no wands, hand then over."  Snape held out his hand and the two teens handed over their wands to him.

"Good, now there's a mop bucket and such in the far closet."  Snape pointed to the far side of the classroom. "I'll be back in a couple hours, if it isn't to my satisfaction, you'll start over again.  Got it/."  Snape voice sounded in their heads.

"Yes Professor."  Draco said.

"Get going then."  Snape answered and turned, walked from the class, closing and locking the door behind him.

Chapter 4

Sandra looked around the classroom.

"Man, it looks so much bigger with out all the people in it."

"Ya, know what you mean.  Hey, sorry I got you into thus."  Draco replied.

Sandra raised a brow at him.

"What are you talking about Malfoy.  I was running late anyway.  You just made me even more late when you ran into me."  She replied, walking over to the closet to retrieve the cleaning supplies.

Draco smiled, happy to know she didn't blame him for anything.  Now that he knew that, he could work on getting to know her better.

"here, let me get that Sandi."  Draco said, taking the bucket and mop oout of her hands.

Sandra raised a brow again.

"Sandi?"  She smiled at him.  "Ok, Draco then."

Draco smiled, he had gotten away with using her short name.  Not something an enemy would have been allowed to do.

"At least she doesn't hate me."  He thought as he took the mop from the bucket and began to clean the floor.

After an hour of silence and cleaning, Sandra looked over at Draco, his tee was sweaty and she noticed his muscles below.  She smiled and turned away, startled a little at the thought in her mind.  Draco was hot.

"So, you almost finished with that?"  Draco's voice came from behind her.

Sandra jumped, hitting her head on his.

Draco laughed a little as he rubbed his chin where her head had hit him.

"Sorry."  Sandra said with a little confused look.

What was going on here?  Why all of a sudden had she become nervous around Draco Malfoy, of all people.  She turned and looked at him.

"Y, ya.  I'm finished."

"Well then. Looks as though we're stuck here for a bit then with nothing to do.  Snape still wont be back for another hour or so yet."  Draco said, smiling as he took the seat next to her.

"Ya, looks that way."  Sandra said, regaining a bit of her composure and leaning back in her chair.

"Guess I should put this stuff up then."  Draco said lightly and stood, going over and grabbing the mop and bucket.

Sandra found herself watching his every move.  Each time his arm would reach out and grab something, she noticed his muscles moving under his shirt.  Who would have thought?  Under all those robes there was a body like that?  She couldn't help but watch.

Draco felt her eyes on him and a slight smile crossed his face, although she could not se.  He didn't do anything to distract her and took as much time as possible, putting the things away.  When he finished he went back and sat next to her, closer this time.

"So, you and Potter still an item then?"  HE asked.

"Ya."  Was the only response she gave.

This gave Draco a little more bravery, her answer was in a tone that suggested she wasn't really all that sure.

"Oh?  So, you're not sure then?"  He responded, making a brave move.

"How'd you guess.  I thought everyone saw us as the perfect little couple that would always be together."  Sandra replied.

Her tone was more than a bit poisonous.  It gave the impression that she didn't much like to be known as Harry's girl. But would have rather been known as Sandra.

"Ya, he does tend to gain all the recognition, doesn't he?  I often wondered what it was like, walking in his shadow, so close to the light but not quite being able to shine above him."  Draco started then looked seriously at her.  "You know, I don't think Id like that much.  I like being me, not some one's shadow."  He finished.

Sandra didn't know quite what to say about it all.  HE was right, Draco had on pointed her exact problem with Harry.  Even Ella had not seen it.

She narrowed her eyes.

"How.."

"It's easy Sandi.  All my life I have tried to be the one everyone looked at. Jealous of Potter for his fame.  I grew up though.  Stopped trying to best him all the time because every thing I did, even if it was better than he, no one saw it for anything more than me being an evil little brat."

He laughed a bit sarcastically.

"Harry always gets everything I want."  He finished and looked away now.

Sandra was quiet, not even daring to think about what he meant by all that. Could it be that Draco liked her?  No, she shrugged that off to her just being infatuated with his body.

"Draco.."  Sandi laid her hand on his shoulder.  "Thank you.  For not hating me just because I'm Harry's girl."  She smiled.

There was definitely more to Draco Malfoy then he let on, that much she was finding true.

Just as Draco was about to reply, the door to the room opened up.  Sandra's hand dropped instantly from his shoulder and they both looked as the Potions Master came striding into the room

"Ok, you did a fair job, back to your Houses and I'll see the two of you tomarrow."  Snape said and Draco and Sandra got up and walked form the classroom.  Snape closed the door behind them, he stayed in the room.

They had not taken ten steps before Harry came around the corner.

"See ya."  Sandra said.

Draco didn't answer, he just stalked off down to the depths of the castle to his House.

"What was it you wanted to talk to me about Harry?"  Sandra asked, taking her eyes from the Slytherin.

"Here, get in here with me and I'll show you."  Harry replied, throwing the invisibility cloak about the two of them and walking her away towards the Library.

Chapter 5

Draco walked back to the common room then up to his dorm room and opened the door.  Pansy sat up and looked at him.  A large smile paste dacross her face.

Draco had forgotten about her.

"Pansy, you still here?"

"I told you I'd wait for you Draco."  She said a bit seductively.

Draco sighed.  He would do this, just because he awas a guy and she a girl but, only for those reasons.

"Ok, lets get this over with."  He replied.

Pansy gave him an offended look but non the less, she had him where she wanted him and pulled him under the blankets.

Harry took Sandra back into the farthest corner of the library then took off the cloak.

"So, what is it Harry?"  She asked, looking about the dark room.

He kissed her, taking her to him rather roughly.

She pushed him away.  She knew this was the place most of the kids whent to make out and have sex and she wasn't about to be one of thse girls, at least, nt with out her permision.

"Just what do yo think you're doing?"  she asked more than a bit angry.

"I just want what everyone else wants Sandi. Come on, if you love me you'll do it."  Harry responded.

"If I love you I'll do it!  Excuse me Mr. Potter.  But if you loved me at all you woulnd't expect that.  I think this night is over."

With that said, Sandra stormed out of the Library and straight down to her House.

Harry sighed and looked around.

"Guess that's that then."  He said to himself.  "I wonder what Luna is up too."

Sandra ran up to her room and slammed the door shut.  Ella had been sleeping but heard her come in and went to her room.

"San, you ok?"  She knocked lightly on the door.

"No."

"Let me in."

The door to Sandra's room opened and admitted her.  Ella walked over and sat on the bed next to her best friend.

"You want to talk about it?  What did Draco do?"  Ella said, brushing Sandras hair from her face.

"Draco didn't do anything.  Draco was a perfect gentalmen.  Harry on the other hand, that's another story."  Sandra growled.

Ella raised a brow.

"Really?  How inresting San."  She replied.

"Just what is that supposed to mean Ell."

"You and Harry are over, right?"

"It looks that way, ya.  Seems the only thing he's after is sex.  Why are guys such jerk."

"Maybe you should look else where then."  Ella said, nudging  Sandra in the side.

"You're nuts Ell.  Draco is hot, ya.  But he's, well he's Draco Malfoy for crying out loud.  He's supposed to marry that Pansy chick.  Are you completely mad?  Besides, what makes you think that someone like him could ever like someone like me?  A nobody, no money and not a Slytherin."

Ella looked at Sandra for a bit, testing the air to see how she really felt.  Sonn, she had her answer.  Ella could read thoughts, not actual minds but thoughts and feelings.  She smiled now.

"Ok San.  But just remember, Draco Malfoy is the prime catch for the school and no one, not even Pansy Parkinson can seem to hold on to him.  Imagin what people would say IF you got him to go out with you.  You need a date for the Yule Ball now, right?  Well, there si only two months left, you best get busy or you'll end up with Longbottum or some one of that nature."

"Ell, look.  I'm just not in the mood right now.  Harry just showed me his true colors and I'm a little stressed about the finality of our relationship.  I don't know, maybe I'll see.  HE is hot, after all and he doesn't seem tohate me."  Sandra replied, the tears f earlier drying on her cheeks.

"Well, ok hun.  You better clean your face before talking to him again though.  He might just run away with you looking like that."  Ella teased.

Sandra smiled.

"You are nuts.  I think that's why I love you so much."

"You eant me to sleep with you tonight?"

"Ya, I think I'd like the company."

Ella slipped under the covers with Sandra and putting an arm about her shoulders, the two fell fast asleep.

"Oh Draco, that was wondrefull."  Pansy said, after he had rolled off her and turnd his back to her.

"Thanks, now get out."  Drao replied, feeling terrible for what he did.

"Get out?  But..."

"Yes, get out, leave me, I got what I needed now leave."  Draco said in such an angry tone, Pansy had no real choice but to go.

She stood, gathered her things, slipping her robe over her naked body and quietly left the room.  She should have been angry, any normal girl would have but, she really didn't care how he treated her, just so long as he talked to her, that was all that mattered.

Harry had followed Sandra to the Ravenclaw common room, he slipped in behind her as the porthole closed.  He then crept up the stairs to the girls dorm and found Luna, sleeping in her bed.

Luna, the girl who'd wanted to bewith him from the time they met, he looked down on her sleeping form then smiled, placing a hand over her mouth and crawled into the bed with her, slipping the cloak around them both so she sould see him.

"Harry?"  Luna said in a small whisper.

"you want to go to the Library with me?  We could, do what ever.."  ahrry smiled.

"But.."

"We boke up, I wanted to be with you any way."  ahrry replied.

"Ok."

They left the Ravenclaw House together.

Chapter 6

"Morning sunshine, come on San, get up, we'll miss breakfast."  Ella said, opening the drapes to let the Saturday morning brighten the room.

"I'm awake ell, just let me..."

"No doing, you need to get in the shower, Hogsmead today, silly.  Get up!"  Ella persisted, grabbing the blankets off her and turning her over.

"Ok, ok...I forgot.  Won't be the same with out Harry though..."  Sandra said, looking out the window.

"Will you forget about him.  Chances are, you'll see Draco there any way, lets go, come on."

Sandra shook her head.  She appreciated what her friend was trying to do but she was still a little upset about what Harry had pulled.

"I'll meet you in the common room Ell."

"Ok hun.  Hurry."

Sandra got up and walked to the showers, then got ready.

Sandra made it down to the common room, Luna had just come down as well.

"Oh, by the way sandy, sorry about Harry but thanks all the same."  She smiled.

"What are you talking about Luna?"  Sandra asked, narrowing her eyes.

Then, she caught a glimpse Luna's neck.

Ella grabbed Sandra before she could speak and drug her out of the common room.

"Don't think about it San, it just proves your point about him.  Let Luna have him, let them play at what ever it is they are and move on girl.  It's not worth it."

Sandra growled.

"He couldn't even wait a whole day before going of with that very *friendly* person!"

Draco happened by just as she said this and stopped, turned and gaped at her.

"Sandra, hi?  Who are you talking about?"

"No one."  Sandra replied and stalked off, leaving both Ella and Draco standing in the corridor behind her.

"What's up with her this morning Ella?"  Draco asked, genially concerned.

Ella smiled, Sandra would probably want to kill her but this was the perfect opportunity to weave a nice plan to get these two together.  She could feel his love for her, it was so strong, he had no way to hide it.
