she was just aboiut to push open the portrait door, when she turned around, and said to harry, with a sneaky, foxxy little grin,
'o, and harry - the kitchens r in the opposite direction u came from...the ravenclaw common room, tho, is in ur direction.' she winked, and was gone. emily and ron looked at harry with raised eeybrows, and harry flushed.

the next day, hermione was in the library, pouring over books. ron emily and harry were in the great hall, munching on their supper. dumbledore stood up, and everyone looked at him.
'i would like to make an announcement.' he declared.
everythnoig went quiet. shelby and allison, two first years who seemed to lead all the other first years, were whispering excitedly and looked up at him.
'there will be a christmas ball, and a halloween party. if we r lucky, our company may include beuxbatons and durmstrang. now, please continue eating.' but no one continued to eat. they whispered excitedly, and allison and hermione were already telling eachother who they wanted to go to the ball with.
'i want to go with matthew perry!' shelby laughed, turning red.
must be muggle-born, harry thought. allison laughed, and told shelby who she wanted to go with.
hermione came bustling out, looking very upset.
'its not there! sumone checked it out! and, obviously, i left my books at my mini-library at home, so...' she was red with frustration.
'theres gonna be a ball.' ron said, looknig at emily.
'oh...'hermione mummbled. 'well, i dont really think i wanna go, then.' she said.
ron stared at her. ' why not?' he asked. herminoe shrugged.
'o...my reasons.' and she left.
                                  * (days past, its now halloween night)
nothing much had changed over the days, ppl were still scared of sirius, hermione is still looking for that certain book, and so on. the four friends were heading to the great hall, and when they opened the doors, bats flew out of them, and eerie music rang in their ears. skeletons were dancing, and the candles were flicking eeirely on and off. it was sort of annoying, but spooky all the same. hermione was rather twitchy, and ron was laughing, emily just sat, eating some of the food.
shelby and allison were telling spooky stories. the first years, including sum second and even third years were lsitening intently, and jumped when sirius told thenm 'happy halloween' and the fact that he was blamed for murder, didnt help.

ok, great! im back until sunday. oooh, my b-day was really cool. how was the bahama's? em, did u go anywhere? lol, my cat, crookshanks (kitten, orange and white) is playing with my robes! (i got the costume kit!)

they were enjoying their food, ron spitting it out every time he had a burst of laughter. hermione looked at him to scowl at him (emily was too busy whiping the food off her robes in totally disgust) when she suddnely gapsed.
'look!' she said, pointing them in the direction of dumbledore. a man, whereing a bottle green claok with his hood up, was talking to dumbledore. ron was still laughing, an demily nudged him hard enough to make him swear.
'ron!' hermione snapped, the same time harry said 'shut-up!' ron fell silently, a breezy smile on his face, and they stared at the green claoked-man - or woman.
'who do u think that person is?' emily asked seriously.
'i don't know...' harry mummbled.
'hmm...should we follow them?' ron asked.
'no,' hermione said firmly, ' hes the headmaster. we should be able to trust that.'
ron nodded.
'hermione's right...oh, um, look!' she pointed away from dumbledore, in the exact opposite direction.
'um...what is it?' harry asked, after staring for about five minutes.
'uhh...a window...with, um, erm...a bat perched on it, upside down?' she said nervously. then, as if on purpose to make a diversion, she put her elbow in her food.
'oops!" she said loudly, and ran away, dabbing her face with her napkin and threw it down on the ground. harry raised his eyebrows, ron gaped at them, and hermione shook her head in odd disbelief. she was definitly hiding sumthing.

lol, ok!

still, only a few days had passed, and hermione was gonig mad over that book. she had started looknig through other books, and harry got a glimpse of 'muggle spies:police and the foes' and harry wondered why she was looking in that book. but she didn't find anything. she had written a letter to her parents, asking them to send that certain book, but still got no answer. it was the morning, a week into november. quidditch season.
a group of hufflepuffs walked by, talking. hermione looked up at them, and dropped her spoon with a clatter. she turned beat red, and pursed her lips, like she had just ate sumting extremely sour. emily looked horrified, ron stared, and so did harry. the hufflepuffs must've noticed, becasuer they stopped to stare too. justin finch-fletchley was holding a dusty-old colour book. that was what hermione was eyeing. she jumped up, and headed toward him.
'um, hi, justin!' she said cheerfully, swallowing painfully.'
'o! hi, hermione!' he said brightly, shifting the book to his other arm. she eyed it, and looked as if she were about to pounce.
'um, so, is that for muggle studies?' she asked.
'yup...' he nodded.
'um, can i talk to you? um, alone, please.' she added, blushing and looking at his friends, who looked very offended, waved, and left. they moved away from the gryffindor table, and she talked to him in a rush, and he kept leaning closer. at the end of thier odd conversation, he looked deeply dissapointed.
he trudged over to his friends, still carrying the book, and his friends asked him sumthing, and he shook his head.  hermione sat down, eagerly, harry noticed.
'whats up?' ron asked.
'o, i akse dhim if i could borrow the book, he said after his lesson, so that means we'll have it by christmas, hopefully.' she kept looknig at thew hufflepuff table, shifting her legs, and suddenly twitching. harry saw that jstin was staring at the gryffindor table, looknig sour like hermione looked.

o, and does anyone know j.k. rowling's fan address, where u write her letters? i very badly need to ask/tell ehr sumthing.

it was finally time for the qudditch match. harry woke up at 4am, excited and jiggly-feeling. he paced the common room, did his homework, and stare into space, wondering about the mystery writer. eventually, breakfast came, and he hardly ate anything. fred and george kept stuffing food in his face, and harry had to keep going to the bathroom to wash it off. but now, he was iun the locker room, fred and george telling them,
'if we dont win, team, then we'll bloody well sneak bogie-flavoured beans into your food, jump out at u in the corridors, and hex u with jellylegs! so win!' they cried, the team rolling on the ground at their seriousness. emily and harry, side by side, wlaked out onto the pitch together. she smiled at harry. harry smiled back. madam pomfrey';s voice rang in their ears.
'mount your brooms!' she cried. malfoy bared his teeth at harry. harry glared. then, lee jordan's voice rang in his ears, nextly.
'annnnnnnnnnd their offffff!!!' he screamed. and flew into the air, and the coll breeze whipped on his face. all hios worries left him. he started looknig for the snitch, spinning around, letting off  this wonderous feeling.
'hey, potty! watcha doin', practicing for the national retard's dance team?' malfoy called.
'hey, malfoy? wheres the eighth player? i thought the got another slytherin to play for you, so u can catch the snitch?!' harry called. malfoy yelled as a bludger came hurtling towards him. harry laughed and flew away, to the slytherin's end.
'gryffindor leads, 20 to 0!' lee yelled. harry spun around, and head up, to look for the snitch their, to stay out of they way. but when he looked at the sky, he saw it was turning green, silver, and then black. it was swirling. harry was spinning. everyone was laughing at him. then, cho mroe visable thenc anyone, laughnig the hardest, and pointing at him, yelling
'he likes me, and i only kissed him because he was famous!'
'no!' harry tried to yell. that wasn't true, was it? he was spinning, and suddenly, cho grew, bigger than a giant. she was howling with laughter, grabbed his broomstick, and started throwing him around.
'wha-?'

hold on, brb, i swear, i hate my bro sumtimes!!!

he was screaming loudly, but cho just laughed and laughed at him. then, she turned into an ugly bat, and the bat started screeching, syaing
'no one likes u! go away! dieeee, potter!' then, the bat bropped him, cackling. harry fell threw the air, screaming and flailing his arms. where was his broom? he heard screaming. he felt heat and coldness hitting him, but it just seemd to obunce off. there was a sheild around him. then, a beautiful bird came swooping by. harry was falling. he was gonig to hit the ground. he was going to die.
