Lupin teaches the students by having them perform hands-on activities, like having them battle a boggart. Interactive learning teaches people more than reading information from a book. He is knowlegeable in what he teaches, especially in the subject of werewolves, having personal experiance in that area. That is what makes Lupin such a great teacher. ;D

I think that Lockhart is a concieted airhead. :-X His classes were all about 'his' accomplishments, not anything that would help the students in the real world. He must have been quite a failure in life if he was so desperate for attention that he had to start modifying people's memories and taking credit for their achievments. He is an idiot, and I hope that does not offend anybody.
