What's your favorite movie??

I really love The Shawshank Redemption .  It's a great movie, but maybe a little far fetched.  Oh well, it's still a great movie!

Yeah "The Big Lebowski" is cool.
I like also:

Pulp Fiction - the dialogs between John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson are world class.
Many of the Stanley Kubrik movies:
Full Metal Jacket and Shining are my favorites
Amelie is a great movie.
Once Upon a Time in the West by Sergio Leone is classic
The Professional with Jean Reno
Terminator I and II  -> the 3rd Part sucked
The movies with Luis de Funes are hilarious.
The Lord of the Ring movies and
Braindead - which is also directed by Peter Jackson.
Cross of Iron with James Coburn and Maximilian Schell and
....

Shawshank Redemption!

It's a great movie - the short story from Stephen King is very good.
Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, Misery, Dolores, Shining and Needful Things are good filmings of Stephen King Books  -  I like them all.
But in most cases the book is far better.
The best here are definately Shining and Misery

I thought that Amelie sucked. Tigerland was awesome, and so was Full Metal Jacket, and Pulp Fiction. Has anybody here seen Basic Instinct?

Basic Instinct - hmm I would say something between Exceeds Excpectations and Acceptable.
Tigerland - never seen this movie.
But to stay at the topic Vietnam war - Platoon and Apocalypse Now are also good Films.

Has anybody seen "O Brother were are thou" with George Clooney - that was hilarious.
And for Quentin Tarantino Films: From Dusk Till Dawn was pretty cool

I've never seen Basic Instinct, actually. O Brother was the greatest George Clooney movie. I love the way Everett talked.
