I think that when they have to, they can use the spell, wheather they really want to or not.

I don't know I would like to defend Snape but after what Neo said I don't know. But still He didn't really have to enjoy it, like ginny said. I'm pretty sure that you don't have to enjoy the whole thing to do it. I mean I tell my mom I'd be happy to wash all the dishes but does that mean I'm really happy about it? Not one bit I hate washing the dishes. But she doesn't know that.

Well, that sounds likely to be correct.  Belatrix DID say that you truly needed to hate this "person" in order to succesfully curse them.  I always thought Dumbledore was a bit off in believing Snape's load of "tish-tosh"
