Very Bored

[Neo]

Neo snorted. "I guess I always knew it would end up like this, although I hoped it might not. I hope you have a good life with him, and I promise to do my best to not get in between you and him, and I promise to try and change the way I feel so that you can be happy." Neo stood up, leaned over, and kissed her. "And that seals it. It would have kept me from being able to try and change my feelings if I hadn't." He walked over to his bookshelf and shuddered as he tried to calm himself, and his diary glowed once more, showing a new entry had been written. Neo turned around and looked at Lavy to see how she reacted to what he said and did.

Lavy sat down in the chair. "Yes, not only is my life wores then ever, I'be drag down you with me."

[Neo]

Neo looked at her uncertain as to what he should say. He knew what he wanted to say and do, but because of his promise, he didn't know how to comfort her without breaking his promise. Everntually he said, "Your life isn't bad Lavy. You have people who love you, you have someone you love, you are helping a cause which will help everyone, you are extremely beautiful, uncommonly kind, and very talented. Cheer up, Lavy, you just need to start looking at the better things happening to you rather then focusing on the bad stuff." And with that he turned and left, not wanting to be in the room any longer, unsure if his resolve to keep his word would be able to hold out much longer if he stayed alone with her.

Lavy smiled. "You don't know what's happened to me in the past. You would understand if you knew."

[Neo]

Neo's expression became extremely serious. "I highly doubt that that anything you have been through can come anywhere close to what I have been through." And he turned and left her in the room.

Lavy stood up and walked to the bookself and picked up the book once more. She opned to the last page.

The entry said this:

Well, I guess that's that. Nothing more I can do. Started off yesterday spending the day with the person I loved, got her to come join my cause, made her my second in command, and was joyous about the fact that for the first time in a while, my heart was happy and content. But it wasn't to last, there was that horrible fight we had, and then I stormed off to go fight and almost died, and now I just made a promise to her that I would not try and force her to love me any more. Promised I would do nothing except be her friend. Promised I would rather her be with Goblet instead of with me if she wouldnt have been happy. Bull. But I got no way out of this now, and my heart is broken in two. She was the first person I had loved in many, many years, and as usual my heart was throw on the ground and stomped on. But what can I do? My word is my commitment. But can my conscience overpower my heart? Can it control my blind love for her? When I even so much as hear her name, my heart does a flip, how am I supposed to battle that kind of love? I guess the fact that I love her is why I'm going to need to battle my love for her. I love her so much, I need to allow her to be with who she will be happy with. What kind of love would I be showing if she was sad for the rest of her life? I got to do something, but it's so hard, right now I just want to run back in and propose to her or SOMETHING, but I can't, I know I can't, I can't deal with the look on her face and the dissapointment she would have in her voice if I did something like that. I guess I was never meant to love and to be loved...such is my life, past, present, and seems like the future...

and that was all it said.

Lavy closed the book and placed it back on the shelf. "See what you've gone and done Lavy. You made that poor boy fall head over hills in love with you and you reufes to love him back."
"Not my fault, Halana."
"Yes it is dear."
"I didn't mean for it to go this far. In fact I didn't even know that it would come close to this."
"Dear if you ever want to be happy with Goblet, then you also must be happy with Neo."
"Is it  possable to be with one without the other."
"No, dear. We both know that you marry Goblet, but you must let Neo know that you do love him."
"Halana, he belives that he was never ment to be loved, how do I show him I do love him, but then once again crush him into a million peices."
"I don't know, but you know what will happened to him if you don't find a way."
"Thanks for nothing Halana."
"Your welcome."

Lavy took a deep breath and left the office looking for Neo.

She asked Piet where Neo was, and was told he was in the High Chamber, and Piet offered to bring her to him. They went and Lavy walked into the Chamber, where Neo was sitting alone in his chair, weeping.

"Thank you Peit." Lavy wispered. Peit left. Lavy walked over to Neo and sat down on the floor infront of him.

Neo looked to see who it was, groned when he saw Lavy, and he turned his chair away from her and wiped his eyes. "What can I do for you Lavy?" he said, trying to sound like he wasnt upset, but failing.

Lavy stood up. "Neo, I don't know how to do this." She walked over to him and kissed him.

[Neo]

Neo sat there stunned. His brain had ceased to think, and his tounge refused to work. As if he wasn't already suffering from emotions, now he had an entire new onslaught of emotions, and his heart began to mend when he felt her lips but broke again even worse than before when he realised he would never be able to have those lips for himself, that the one whose lips they were, would never love him as he loved her, and he would never be able to be with her. He didn't know what to say, he didn't know how to get out his emotions into words, so he just sat there in bewilderment, wondering why she had done that.
