Censors on Public Computers are an annoyance.

I really don't see how this website could be unsafe. Its not exactly pornographic. Its not exactly endangering anyones saftey.

Beats me where some people get ideas on what websites are suitable/not suitable for accessing publically.

Playing God online, its hardly a moral issue.

As for school computers blocking sites, I don't understand, why would they want to block HPFF? I mean, blocking game sites is a reasonable thing to do, but forums? Weird.

Most school computers block all forums because they are afraid of little kids being tricked into meeting and being taken advantage of by those creeps out there who call themselves adults :-\ :-X >:( :(

Tecnically though, she may be right. They are safe from lawsuit because they have a filter, but they made it so that its easy to get around if you want so they can't be sued by the ACLU for "restricting a student's Constitutional right to go to a Harry Potter Fan site" or some such nonsense.

LOL I'll take that as a compliment :P

I spend about 3 to 4 hours a day listening/reading/watching the news and political books and blogs, so I would hope that I have some idea what I'm talking about and be able to explicate and articulate coherantly ::).
