LavyBrown

"So Ginny." Lavy said sitting down. "How's life at the Ministry since I left them?"
Don't do it behind the garden gate, love is blind but the neighbours ain't!
Can I get your picture? I collect nature disasters.
Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried to slam a revolving door.
I must confess, I was born at a very early age

She watched the student who had said hi to them go sit by herself and sighed. She watched the girl for a moment more, feeling bad for her.

She looked at Lavy and smiled.
"Annoying, same as always." As she spoke she felt something strange, as though someone had been just beyond the wall. Someone she hadn't seen in a long while. She looked around the room, and sent off a al;most silent message. Only one person would be able to hear that. That is, if he was close enough. She couldn't send the signal far, not with her magic draining like it was. She looked back at Lavy, all this taking less then a second.

"I sometimes wish I could work just one. The school, or the Ministry. But I can't. Too much work to do."

Xaver

He wasn't going back. Not until he had to. Which would be soon, of course. But he'd already dealt with all the critical and most the substantial problems and sorts. He wasn't leaving. Maybe he could buy a home here.. That sounded nice.
Well, here, in general, didn't. Xaver wasn't too fond of the city-life. But maybe somewhere in the surrounding area, or country, or whatnot.
Somewhere in this realm.
Somewhere.

Or maybe he could just go back, and drown himself in the misery of politics and work day in and day out wherever he found he was needed.
He would hate to..

Xaver hadn't been outside, in a long while. He'd been too sick - too weak.
It was a long story.
But he wanted to spend at least a little time in the open..
Problem was.. he didn't have anybody to spend time with. It wasn't like he'd gotten the chance to tell anybody when he fell into an injury-induced coma, that he wouldn't be returning for a while. They probably thought he'd gone and left them..
The thought stung, nipping sharply at a more numbed space beneath the protection of his ribs. He sighed softly, and watched the road.

Then something carressed the shields of his thoughts like a silken touch of salvation, stopping him so abruptly in his tracks, he drew odd looks. But he didn't care. He knew that touch. And, though he was almost too far away for it to reach him.. He knew it.
Could it be?

His pale hands literally shaking, his heart lodged in his throat, Xaver spun round, snaking through the crowd.
Could it be?
He almost lost his book once, but he made it to the Three Broomsticks without incident - and almost without pause, his excited hand turning the knob, his form almost bouncing inside. The bond had faded by then, but he could feel her presence. His eyes flickered straight to a certain table.
And Xaver saw her.

His heart skipped a beat or ten, as a small, warm smile formed. Something that had been absent upon his features since the last time he had seen her.

"Ginny," he whispered.
"Odi et amo."

((ooc:I have gotta stop listening to Wierd Al and Avenue Q when I type these!))

No one really looked up when the door opeaned, and Ginny couldn't bare to. She couldn't bare that feeling she had gotton for a long while, when it hadn't been him to come through the door. Instead, she concentrated on her conversation. Besides, she couldn't see the door without turning her head.

"I don't know how I do it either, Pig." She rolled her butterbeer in her hands, looking down at the bottle. "It's so hard sometimes, but I can't leave the school. We're the only things that keep it safe nowadays. And if I leave the ministry, they'll go back to convicting innocent people. I can't let them do that, but I can't abandon these students." She let some of her tierdness and sadness creep into her face. "It's very hard."

( ;D ha ha)

" I know what you mean i could never leave the school either, I help to many people here" she said smiling at her friend warmly

Xaver

(lol)

The pub was full of students and numb townsfolk alike, so, framed in the doorway, Xaver was quickly jostled out of the way. He remained in a sort of daze, until a sharp elbow brought him out of it. He grinned sheepishly at those trying to get through the doorway, and slowly made across the room.
It was a slow process. Mainly, because people just wouldn't move. He knew he could just magic himself over.. but he was simply to tired.  He didn't want to push his limits again too soon. He'd already had to stop once today because he was shaking so bad, sit down and rest.
He hated it.

Xaver stopped, just behind Ginny. He could almost smell the faint scent of her shampoo.
Xaver grinned.
"Odi et amo."

Ginny felt someone standing behind her, but she assumed it was just someone waiting for the crowd to thin a bit. She looked into her bottle again then up at Pig, smiling slightly.
"Yes you do." She took a sip of her drink and set it down, looking a bit happier. Butterbeer had that effect on people. She was still very tired, but she'd get over it. She had to go make the students outside aware that she was around still so they didn't cause any trouble.

"I'll catch you two later." She said to them, slipping out of her chair and turning. She stopped dead though when she saw who was behind her. Her mouth parted slightly, and she simply stood there. She wasn't aware that the nose in the room had increased slightly, she couldn't hear it. In fact, she could barely see the room now.

Ginny's vision began to fade to black, and she gripped the table to try and keep herself upright. To try and stop from fainting.

Xaver

The dazed grin of his turned into a worried frown when she turned around. He knew.
Instinctively, he moved, his book hovering in place, a black hazy aura about it, where he had left it, a sturdy arm wrapping protectively, gently, about her shoulders. He had watched her expressions - and he wasn't sure her surprise was a good thing or not.. but that didn't mean he wouldn't do anything in his power to help her.

"Your magic is so low..." he said softly. His tones were a shade lower than before, and he spoke softer, just loud enough for one to hear. "Is there somewhere you can lay down?"
"Odi et amo."

She didn't let herself just relax in his arms, even though she wanted to. She couldn't beleive he was real. Actually, she thought he was just a side effect from her low magic. So as a result, she struggled to keep consiousness, which only resulted in bringing her closer to fainting.

"You can't really be here..." She said softly, before fainting compleatly in his arms.

Xaver

"Ginny..."
Had she missed him? His heart lurched against the cage of his ribs, of both worry and hope. He caught her, easily, when she collapsed - he had been expecting it, too. He knew Ginny well, and he could sense the weakness of her shields, even in his own weakened state.
An arm holding her, he slipped out of his heavy, thick, warm long coat, and in one motion, brought his other arm beneath her knees, and scooped her up into his arms, holding her close against his chest, his coat like a blanket over her form.

"I can be, love," he whispered to her. "I'm here."

He gently kissed her forehead, shaking his head, his thoughts almost bursting over the brim with emotion. He nodded at the still hovering book, and it simply evaporated, to whatever destined place he told it to go. He could feel his own magic weakening like sand falls through an hourglass, but he didn't care. He set up an impenetrable aura about her, gently assuring her powerlines with his own, helping to build her strength back. Glad she was unconscious in only that way, for she couldn't tell how drastically low his own energy was. ..He hoped.
When she seemed stable, he left her alone, mentally. Let her sleep. Protecting her, holding her, only.
"Odi et amo."

((OOC: I was waiting for someone else to post, but no one seems to want to, so I'm just gonna go ahead and post))

Ginny's magic began to restore itself after she fainted, and that push from Xaver also helped. Her brain compleatly shut down everything except the things keeping her alive. She didn't dream, but she did think. She could feel too. She felt him holding her, and that allowed her to relax, which in turn restored her powers a bit faster.

Xaver

Xaver made to transport them both to somewhere safer, somewhere toasty warm, and comfortable for her - but one, he didn't remember where, if there was anymore, such place would be around here, and two.. he just didn't have the strength. He moved the table slightly, and sat back upon the plush long seat in a booth, holding her still, watching her the entire time, her head against his shoulder. Simply holding her.

-Ginny?-

He spoke softly into her thoughts, his link a little worn, a little ragged, but strong nonetheless.
"Odi et amo."

She could hear him, but she wasn't sure if she could reply. She could still hardly beleive it.

~Are you really here, or am I dreaming again...I couldn't bare it if I was! Please tell me it isn't a drem....~ Her own link was soft, careful, and quiet.

She started to regain consiousness, and could hear his heart beat slowly. She didn't open her eyes, she wasn't ready to yet.

Xaver

An arm still supportive about her back, his other hand rose, the tips of his fingers gently tracing down the edge of her face.

-I'm here, love. I'm here for you.-
"I promise," he said softly.

He gently linked his hand with one of hers. Gently squeezed her hand, kissing her forehead.

The back of his head ached sharply, but he ignored it the best he could.
He was told aches and pains were common after his sort of trauma.
Ha. If they only knew..
The..

Xaver quickly left the train of absent thought, focusing on Ginny, watching her eyes, eagerly, almost impatiently, waiting for them to open.
"Odi et amo."
