Night Guard

[Ginny Weasly]

Darkness enveloped the forest. There was a sliver of moon, and dark clouds covered the stars. Most of the lights in the school were off, indicating it was way after curfew. Now and again, when the clouds weren't blocking it, moonlight shone on a lone figure in one of the trees.

Ginny's bright red hair, pulled into a loose ponytail, shone like fire in the pale light. Her eyes, normally bright and full of life were shadowed by something. Anxiety maybe. She was crouched on a sturdy tree limb, with one hand touching the thick trunk of the tree to steady her. Her long sleeved black shirt, along with her black pants made her look Gothic.

Ginny's eyes swept along what she could see of the grounds. She wasn't just doing a visual sweep, but also a mind sweep. Not to mention, the occasional animal in the forest might be an ally of hers. It seemed that with Ginny and her friends around, getting to the school would be hard work for intruders. But that didn't set Ginny's mind at ease.

The moonlight left again, and now only those with a light, or night vison could see with thier eyes. Ginny used her mind to see. She kept the power low and no one would see her or notice her even if they walked right under her. It was as though Ginny wasn't there.

Sarah was sitting next to a tree drawling on her pad. It was one of a lake with the mermaids sitting on the top of the lake.

"Well this looks great." Sarah then saw something in the shadows but was not sure what it was. "Well I better stay quiet."

Sarah then stood and looked at the person there.

(It is you ginny but Sarah is not sure about it.)

((I know, kiddo.))

Ginny focused on Sarah, instantly knowing who it was. She didn't say anything, but watched. The clouds uncovered the moon once more, shining slightly. She looked past Sarah, at the lake. It glimmered, creepily. But not magically. Ginny was apprehensive about Sarah being out here.

What would she do if her feelings proved true on this dark night? She had to fight off any intruders, possibly killing them. She doubted that Sarah would come out of this without nightmares. Standing with ease, she jumped out of the tree, landing on the grass without noise. Softly she walked towards Sarah, with the intent to send her inside.

Sarah smiled as finished her picture. Sarah then looked and drew the moon sitting on the lake with her, Cho, and siruis all sitting there.

"Well this is great." Sarah siad as she got up and headed to the lake. She then started to touch the water with her hands and moved it.

"I think I will walk for a little bit." Sarah then looked back but did not see anyone so she took off her shoes and socks. She then walked ankle high and started to walk in the water and finish her picture.

(Oh sorry there. I will keep going though)

[Ginny Weasly]

"You know...the school is the only safe place at night...." Ginny's voice was soft, not to avoid startling Sarah, but to avoid being heard by others. She stood, looking at Sarah, with her arms at her sides, limply. She seemed very tired, and was. In fact, she was exhausted. She taugh by day and guarded by night. Not to metnion, she hadn't seen Xaver around recently, and although that was normal it still worried her.

Wind whipped through the trees, causing loose strands of her hair to float in front of her face. Even as exhausted as she was, she still looked slightly imposing.

"Ya I know but I just felt weird tonight." Sarah siad as she turned to face her teacher.

"Don't ask me why but i just had this feeling that said that I needed to go to the lake and draw what I felt."

Sarah did not relize that she drew a picture with a stange figure there getting ready to attack in the backgound of her pictures she was not sure who it was though.

Ginny looked at her and opened her mouth to answer. She was going to ask her to go inside. She was going to tell her to lock her dorm doors. She was going to tell her to go to sleep. But she never got the words out. For once, Ginny was caught off guard. A beam of light zapped into her arm, along with the cry for the crucio curse.

"Oh..."Ginny said, before closing her mouth as she went down on her knees, pain evident in her eyes. Other then that, however, she didn't cry in pain. She was on her feet in no time holding her left arm and breathing haggardly.

"Sarah, get down, onto the bank, now!" She yelled, reaching for her own wand.

"Okay." Sarah siad when she got to the shore and went to a tree.

"Ginny what is going on." Sarah siad as she had her wand ready.

(want to say that they are trying to get Sarah but we get rid of them some how)

Ginny growled and crouched down as several people crowded around her. Someone grabbed Sarah and pushed her towards Ginny. Ginny hissed at the people. They snatched her wantd and snapped it in half, doing the same to Sarah's.

"What do you want?" Ginny snarled.

"Something to bargin with." One of the cloaked men growled back, reaching for Sarah's arm. Ginny reached out and slapped his hand.

"Didn't your mama teach you it's not nice to grab people?" She asked, a sarcastic tone in her body.

"Ginny what is going on. I promise I will stay in my dorm if your doing this as a joke." Sarah siad starting to get ready.

*Well lets see maybe I can help by useing my powers* So Sarah start to think of how to do this.

"Ginny I mean it what is going on."

[Ginny Weasly]

"Shut up." She hissed. Ginny had known this would happen. She could kill them all in just a few moment, but she didn't want Sarah to see that.

"Just do as they say..."She muttered, softly, for only Sarah to hear. Unfortunatly, one of the men heard her.

"Be on guard, everyone. The mighty Ginny Weasly is giving in! She's got a trick up her sleeve." He said, knowingly.

Ginny smirked. "And you would just love to know it. We'll go with you...on one condition. You keep your hands and minds off of the kid." Ginny said, angrily.

"Ginny what is going on." Sarah siad trying to close her eyes and clear her mind so no one could get in it.

*Breathe sarah. Breathe* Sarah then started to breathe and draw what ever came to her mind.
