bump bump bumpity bump!!!!! very good!!!

Kiara Johnson

(LOL, Gin.. and thanks everyone ... Canada is always a great time)

They made their way through the Forest with little to no problem with the dangerous creatures that lived there.  Ginny had everything to do with that, of course, they listened to her, paid attention and loved her.  The only time they even had a run-in was when Bane, the hotheaded Centaur that lived in the forest and who, as a general rule, detested humans.  After quite some argument between Ginny and the Leader of the Centaurs, Ginny prevailed and they were on their way again.

"Wow Gin, thought for a moment I was going to have to protect Bane from you."  Kiara laughed as they strolled deeper still into the forest.

Ginny laughed as well.  "That stupid...." She growled.  "Of all the creatures living here, the Centaur's still try to defy me and my rule over the forests.  I guess they still don't' quite get it, that we are NOT here to harm them, or take what they call theirs..." She growled slightly.  "Stupid git."  She mumbled under her breath but said no more on the piece.

"I thought that Firenze was establishing a link between us and them."  Harry piped up from behind the girls.

Harry had been trailing behind, almost dragging his feet, slowing them down on purpose the entire trip.  He really was not looking forward to the upcoming meeting and now, though he knew the answer to the question he'd asked, wanted a change of topics away from his evil minded brother they were about a half hour away from running into.

"Well, of course he is, but it takes TIME Harry, you know that."  Ginny replied back, almost irritated by his question.  "It's Bane, he's the one he has to get through, most of the other Centaurs would gladly give it a try, but they won't act against Bane and so..."  She left it hanging, there really was no need to continue that line of answer, it was quite obvious.

"Ya, well, I'd sooner go back there and deal with Bane than keep moving forward, you certain there is no chance I could get out of this Kiara?"  Harry asked hopefully.

Kiara just laughed, shot Harry a raised brow and then moved forward.

'Fine."  Was all Harry said and he returned to his brooding as they marched along.

A half hour passed and Ginny stopped, just about ten feet from a large black and most ominous hole in the side of a large rocky hill in the middle of a charred clearing, the temperature in this area was a good ten degrees warmer than the rest of the forest.

"Well, this is as far as I go, I'll be back in a few days, to check on you, if you want me sooner, just call.  Be careful Kiara, he might love you, but he doesn't exactly have the best track record on being friendly to those he likes."  Ginny told her, knowing she didn't really have to warn her, but feeling she should all the same.  After all, Harry and Sebastian were not the only ones who had hot tempers and she could just picture the three of them down there fighting and the thought was horrifying to say the least.  She could see the total destruction of the Forbidden forest and she gave a little shudder.  "Please, be good you two."  She finished and gave them both a hug before disappearing into the trees.

(LOL, thanks )

"US be good, what about HIM!"  Harry shot back to her retreating form, but Ginny didn't say anything, she knew that was coming from one of them.

"Oh, stop Harry, he's not THAT bad, besides, all you need to do is be polite Harry, he tends to react to politeness you know.  Please, just try to be civil."  She stated and then took him by the hand once more and pulled him behind her and into the clearing.

Harry muttered something about being related to demons that definitely was not nice and Kiara shook her head, she knew this was not going to be a good start.

"It wasn't his choice you know."  She stated, but that was a lie, in a way and she knew it, so did Harry, Harry knew what had happened between Kiara and Sebastian all those years ago, he wouldn't correct her though.

It was a very long time ago, before Harry even knew his sister, before he even knew he was a wizard when Kiara had met their half brother.  She didn't know him then, hadn't known that the rather quirky, excited, power hungry and very talented sorcerer that would imprison her for three days inside a void in a duel of sorcerers was her half brother.  She would find out though, but not until Sebastian had forced her to kill him.  It was then that he was made what he is today and it was then that Kiara found out she'd killed what she thought to have been, her only family besides her mother.  Though it had been a very long time ago, she never quite forgave herself for something that was neither her fault, nor his, as it was their father who had made the deal, Voldemort who had manipulated a young sorcerer into believing that he would be the most amazing and powerful being in the world if he had his own sister kill him. It was the Devil himself who had manipulated Voldemort into making his decision, adding power to the Dark Wizard, feeding him lies and deceit to gain more powerful minions....

Kiara had stepped through the opening in the rocky hillside when Harry came back to the present, his thoughts about the story told to him in school now a whisper in his mind as they moved into the heat of the cave entrance.

The walls of the cave seemed to glow with an eerie reddish moss that radiated heat from its slimy extensions as it clung to the walls of the rock along the way.  The ceiling of the cave was tall, tall enough for anything large that wished to prowl through it and Harry remembered being chased from Sebastian's home once before by several very large and very angry Fire Demons that stood three times his own size at the time and he shuddered inwardly at the memory of his singed backside and the brand that Sebastian himself had burnt into his own chest, right next to the silvery scar Kiara had left when she brought him from death all those years before.

"This place gives me the creeps."  Harry whispered.

"As it would Harry, you were never welcome here, or, well you were at first but..." She gave him an almost apologetic shrug then turned and walked on.

They continued on, that eerie reddish glow bathing everything including the two of them in a red light, making Kiara's reddish black locks seem to glow as they moved downward now, the slope into the abyss of the forefront to Hell coming closer with every step, as well, the heat rising with every step.

Harry and Kiara both paused to remove their cloaks and stuff them into the travel packs on their backs.  They had chosen a small point where a pool of reddish water had come to the surface in the cave and Kiara suggested they take a rest here, they had already gone for hours and still had hours to walk, unless of course, Sebastian were to come and save them their walk, though Kiara knew he knew they were on their way by now, she had doubts that he was going to make this easy.

"What did you bring to eat?"  Harry asked, looking over at his sister as he sat down on a flat, warm stone.  "At least the rocks aren't so cold here."  He added as he patted his seat.

Kiara took off her pack and rummaged through it for a moment and came out with a couple slices of cheese and bread, handing one of each to Harry.

"It will never amaze me how you do these type of things, you'd have been a great help when Ron, Hermione and I were out on the run you know, though I think you did a better job keeping the Deatheaters at bay..." He mused out loud more so than anything else.

Kiara simply nodded and began nibbling on a piece of cheese.

"What do you think he wants Kiara?'  Harry then asked after they had finished their little lunch.

"I don't know Harry, what I am most interested in right now Harry, is finding out how and why.  Once we get that information, the 'what' I am certain will come along easily enough."  She replied as she lay back on the ground and stared up at the ceiling, watching the undulating moss type fungus as it moved along the entirety of the cavern they rested in.

"He knows we're here, doesn't he?"  Harry then asked, once more a question he knew the answer to but was looking for confirmation.

"Of course he Knows Harry, he knew the moment we stepped foot through the opening, who we were and he knew exactly why it was we came."  She replied, turning her emerald eyes to gaze up at her brother as he still sat, as if glued to that rock he'd chosen.

Harry was frightened, very much so, Kiara could feel it, though he would not show it outwardly, she knew it.  She smiled slightly as she looked up at him. So brave.  She thought and then looked back upwards and then closed her eyes for a while to rest properly.

It didn't take long and Harry followed suit, though in closing his eyes, he never slept, only rested and he knew Kiara didn't' sleep either, he knew Kiara was apprehensive about their meeting, not afraid, Kiara was almost never afraid of anything, she hadn't talked to Sebastian for several years and he didn't think Kiara knew rather he would be friendly or otherwise, he felt that much in his sister and it did nothing to stuff out his fears.

Kiara Johnson

How much time passed, it wasn't certain though they both knew it had been a while as they laid there, side by side thinking about things and resting up for the remainder of their journey into the home of their half brother.

Kiara finally sat up and looked down at Harry and sighed.

"Well, I guess we should get started again, we're getting nowhere fast like this.'  She stated, her tone was a bit more offish that Harry would have liked, but at least she wasn't quiet, he hated it when Kiara got quiet.

"Ok, I'm coming."  Harry replied as he sat up then stood with his sister and then started down the sloping path once more, kept company now by a low humming sound and from time to time the skitter of small feet all around them.

"Fire Sprites" Kiara stated simply when Harry looked about once when they heard the noise.

"What?"  He looked over at Kiara.

"We're getting closer now, it's Fire Sprites you keep hearing, pretty soon it will be actual demons, I can almost feel them lurking down around those bends."  She said and pointed ahead of them, her tone dripping with hate on the word 'demon'.

They walked along in silence now, their eyes pealed for any trouble but nothing came their way.  As predicted, when they rounded a few more bends in the path, they started to come across actual fire demons, the smaller ones, but nasty little creatures.  Kiara stopped their forward movement and said something under her breath that Harry couldn't quite make out but he suddenly felt a bit chill.

"Just to ensure they won't catch us on fire."  Kiara winked at him; she' d obviously put some kind of charm around the two because the fire demons seemed to be staying a distance, that, or perhaps Sebastian forbid them to pester the two.

Finally, they reached their destination, with a deep breath from both; they stepped through the threshold and into the main cave, or room in Sebastian's home.
