The Past Still Lingers

ok, 6th year for me so go by that to figure out what year you are all in.
we're on the train going to hogwarts right now.
im dating sarah so anyone else's relationships you can all figure out.

*sirius sat in an empy compartment and stared out the waindow. just watching as all of the moms and dads said goodbye to theire children.* goodbye, no one.
*he said to the window. it wasn't like he wanted his mom or dad to be outside the window waving goodbye to him, because he defenetly didn't! still though, it was always weird for sirius to see all of those families together...happy. the only thing that he had that was keeping him sane every lonely year was an amazing girl. Sarah Jones. he smiled just at the thought of her name. he closed his eyes, keeping the image and name of the one he loved in his head. he, after a few minutes of mind numbing calmness fell asleep.*

*it had been a while after sirius had fallen asleep when the Hogwarts Express had come to an abrupt and un called for stop. sirius's amazing dreams had been shooken to a stop when his face slammed into the ground. he let out a yell of pain and fealt his head, it felt odly warm. he looked at his hand and saw fresh blood. he cursed under his breath and looked at the ground to find shards of glass from his drink, and ice. ice usually didnt mean anything to sirius, until he remembered that it was a warm summers day. ice shouldnt be in a warm compartment room. one thing, it wasn't warm at all. he also noticed his breath in the air and that was impossible on a warm day.*

*he swallowed hard realizing what it was and almost immediatly sarah's image fell apart in his head. filling instead with hatred and darkness. he looked at his reflection in the window and saw behind him, a dark figure with a deathly looking hand sticking out from under the hooded figures cloak. he turned slowly to face the thing behind him even though deep down he already knew what it was. he saw it and new, a dementor from Askaban. he couldn't think, all he needed to do and knew he must do was defend himself. he tried to reach for his wand, tried to fight back, but it was no use his face and lips were draining of all color, of all sense of happiness. slowly, from his mouth came a whispe of light, a tiny ball of light. sirius lay still...very still. this wasnt the first time he had experienced the dementors kiss. somewhere in his past he recalled this empty feeling of death. his mind wanted to die. sirius's hand which had grabbed his wand in an attempt to save himself fell to his side. his eyes had long since lost their color and they had turned as white as snow as he looked helplessly at the dementor. blood from his forehead was the only color on his face, and even that was a small amount of color that now creeped into his hair. *

Sarah walked into the room. She had her wand held high.

"Expecto Patronus" Sarah said as she sent it at the Dementor. It was a strong unicorn.

Sarah was thinking about the frist time her and Siruis met and how much fun they had and how she was in love.

*the dementor's focus wasn't complete, he lost it completely and glided quickly through the corridor onto other rooms. slowly but surely the ball of light slid back into sirius's mouth. he breathed in deeply and closed his eyes. when he opened them again they were back to there beautiful green color and he looked up at the person who had saved his life. he smiled as he saw that it was sarah, his dream popped up into his mind and he smiled even more.*

"Siruis how you been." Sarah siad lowering her wand and walking into the room more.

"I hate summers. I mean my perents this year went to France and left me there alone." Sarah then sat next to him.

"You okay."

*sirius sat up, shards of glass falling of his back and back onto the ground. his face was still white as winter snow and he felt dissy.* remus... *he whispered because he was very tired. he knew what he needed though. remus had taught him. just like clockwork, the train continued on and the compartments went back to usual talk. it got back to a comfortable heat and sirius sat across from sarah. then, the trolly came by and sirius got three choco bars. he knew that the chocolate would help him.* i've been good....well, except for that of course. *he was meaning the dementor.*

Sarah smiled and moved over and sat by him.

"well I know I'm glad for one thing." Sarah then leans on his shoulder.

"I'm glad that I get to come back to you."

Sarah looked at him and kissed his chin.

"This should be a fun year. I mean it is hogwarts and well I'm not going anywhere."

*sirius smiled and took a bite of the chocolate. the dementors face still lingured in his mind.* yes that is an amazingly brilliant thing.

"Well I mean how you know to eat chocolate when they attacked." Sarah siad as she smiled laying on his shoulder getting ready to sleep.

*sirius looked at the chocolate.* im not sure...it sorta just came to me....like...almost like when your little you know how to make sounds...well i knew in instinct to eat it. *he shrugged and ate another piece of it. his color returning. then he got an image in his head. one that he had never seen before. all he mainly saw was a man with a scarred face giving siruis chocolate. thanks lupin sirius had said. sirius in real life's face turned to a frown. he was confused. then, just as quickly as the image had come...it was gone and he was left with a hurting head.* Remus Lupin. *he said slowly.*
