"JESSIE!" Mira turned to the man. "Stop it!!!!"

"Give me the diamond."

Mira sat thinking. "Fine." She muttered. "Just leave her alone." Mira stared at the ground.

The man stopped. He held out his hand waiting for the diamond.

Mira looked over at Jessie her eyes teary and filled with sorrow.

Mira fumbled around in her pouch for the diamond since she had put it away. She held it out for the man to take, and he took it. Then she grabbed Jessie's hand and sprinted away.

Jessie understood. She caught up to Mira in seconds. Then she continued at that pace until she was far ahead of her and they were both lost in the maze of tunnels.

As they ran further the darkness enveloped them. Dangers lurked at every corner. Then behind them Mira heard the sound of racing footsteps. And they certainly weren'y Jesie's. "He's coming!" Mira gropped around for Jessie's hand and when she found it she pulled and blindly began to run. It was to risky to pull out a light then he would only find them faster.

She looked around frantically for a place to hide. It was no use, the place was too dark.

Jessie saw the man come around the corner. He was holding a wand that was lit, so as to find them better. Jessie bit her lap, and pointed him out to Mira. Then she ran blindly away from him as quiet as she could. She ran her hand along the wall feeling her way.
