The Special Request

         "Drink this," said the guard.
Goblet was deep somewhere in Knockturn Alley in front of a very old shop. He downed the potion in a single gulp. This was to ensure that Goblet was not being impersonated. This business down here is very secret. Goblet had the suspicion that something illegal may be going on but as long as it didn't concern him then he need not interfere. The guard let him pass and he entered the shop. This shop may be the worst shop, in terms of usefulness, in all of Knockturn Alley. Yet, it is a shop that somehow manages to stay in business. Anyone who tried to figure it out would be wasting their time, unless they thought the shop was a cover. In which case, they'd be right.
"Goblet?" said a raspy old voice.
Goblet entered through the door in the back of the shop. "Yeah, it's me."
         "And?"
Goblet sighed a little. "I captured the guy on the outskirts of London."
         "His name?"
"Joel Fox!" said Goblet impatiently. All these questions had to do with the last job Goblet did. This was to make sure Goblet really was Goblet, instead of somebody else despite already taking the potion.
"Can't be too careful," said Gabe promptly.
"Yeah, you say that every time," said Goblet as he took a chair in front of his desk.
"Nice work with Joel. He won't be stealing anymore. Although I still would not have mind if you brought me the little inconsiderate garbage pail of a human being in a nice little black sack," said Gabe with an evil grin. "You could have easily done so, Goblet. And why is it that you don't? You knew I was paying more for the dead bounty."
"You know why. I can't have death lingering on my conscience. The ones I killed in self defense are enough to deal with. Despite protecting myself, it's not easy," said Goblet flatly.
"Yes," said Gabe, still smiling that evil smile. "And it just so happens that the death bounty was quadruple than the alive bounty on a few of those times."
"Hey!" shouted Goblet, "It's not like you're hiring me to find children! These are dangerous wizards d**nit!"
Goblet felt the cautious shifting near the walls. He knew that there were invisible guards to monitor this meeting, but he didn't care.
"Delusions, Goblet," said Gabe. "Reliable hunter like you, eventually you will kill. Maybe a target will piss you off. Maybe you will judge his life and have your sentence carried out via wand. Or maybe, just maybe," Gabe was grinning broader than ever, "you will kill a target because it's just so... d**n... fun."
Gabe laughed. Goblet didn't know whether or not he was laughing because of his own shenanigans or because he is looking forward to something. "You're a d**n good bounty hunter, Goblet. Far from the best, but definitely a good one. You're only 17 for crying out loud."
Gabe was looking forward to something.
         "On to business," said Goblet.
"Right," said Gabe, regaining control of himself. "So this bounty I will be issuing is for a Mr. Sebastian."
"What is his crime?" asked Goblet.
"This nasty sort is a killer. He killed 6 people in a shop, including one child. I don't know what his motive is, and frankly for the sick bloody nitwit, I don't even care. I just want you to get him."
"It's nice to help out society," said Goblet.
"Funny. Now I know how much you hate these..."
Goblet's insides fell apart inside him. "Not a special request," said Goblet. He sighed. "What is it?"
"You'll find out when you have him alive," said Gabe. He pulled out an envelope. "Once you have captured him, open this envelope and do what is instructed. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT open this until you have him tightly in your hands. If you open it any earlier, you WILL lose the bounty, among other things."
Goblet took the envelope. "Like what?"
         "Not relevant," Gabe said flatly.
"What's in this envelope?" asked Goblet.
"The special request. That is all you need to know about that," said Gabe.
         "Fine."
"All right then. This time, you do not need to contact any of Sebastian's friends or family or study him or whatever it is you do. We already know where he is so all you have to do is find him, and do your job. He is precisely east of Tuner Bridge way up north. He is settled along the coast."
"All right then," said Goblet as he stood up. "I will come back when I'm done."
Goblet tucked the envelope deep into his pocket. He didn't like special requests on bounties. He was familiar with the area he was going to, and he had completed harder bounties. His mind was completely at ease, except for the little distracting envelope comfortably lying in his pocket.

East of Tuner Bridge he said.
Goblet was at the base of a somewhat large bridge going over a river to connect two pieces of land. He put his broomstick on the post and put a charm on it to make it completely invisible. It was almost becoming sunset, which made the beach a few ways off a beauty.
Gabe did not specify which coast Sebastian was on, but it was easy to figure out. The south side had a nice beach, a lot more open space, and few would ever have reason to venture out here. The north was covered with an inhabitable forest that is coming and going with hunters. Sebastian was on the south side.
Goblet started to walk along just off the beach. He wouldn't directly walk on the beach because that made him easier to see and it was unlikely that his hideout would be over the foundation of loose sand.
Goblet held his wand while muttering constant incantations to fight against any potential spells that may be used to conceal hideouts, make him less visible in case he sees Goblet first, and heightening Goblet's sense of hearing in case Sebastian was talking. He had to use the anti-concealment charm constantly in case his hideout was close while Goblet is walking.
Goblet didn't walk too long until he heard distant voices. "Ausculto," he said strongly to strengthen the charm.
"...not too bad. This is paradise if you think about it," said a man's voice. "Living out here totally isolates us from the outside world. Why should be concerned over anything if all we need is each other? We have a beautiful view, a house, there is this nice bloke that runs a store about half a mile from here. We can get all the food we need there."
"Yes," said a woman's voice, "but why did we move here so quickly? I wish you would involve me in your decisions. You keep say- honey, were you caught doing something illegal?"
Goblet was very certain that this was his guy. And he had a girlfriend with him. This was going to be much easier than he thought.
"Jessica, I was framed. I assure you. I won lots of money from this old bloke from this underground casino. And now he wants it back. Turns out he is good friends with this fellow in the Ministry of Magic. He pulled a few strings and now that want me for this crime which I had nothing to do with. In fact, I was with you the time it happened. I being honest with you, baby," said Sebastian.
Goblet scoffed. "How many times did you practice that speech in the mirror, jerk-off?"
"What was the crime?" asked Jessica.
"Not important," assured Sebastian. "What is important is just us and total bliss."
Goblet was walking quickly but quietly. Goblet could hear them more and more as he walked. He couldn't quite see them yet behind the scattered trees and bushes, but if they weren't there Goblet was sure to see them. He has to be nimble.
"I know this may not be the ideal future you may have had in mind, but you will get used to it. Eventually, I know you will see the beauty in all of this. We have beautiful scenery, a beautiful house, beach, and the only people we will ever need is each other. I am 100% prepared to have our kids here," said Sebastian.
"Sebastian, I love you. But I need to know the truth. Did you do anything against the law?" asked Jessica.
"Jessica," said Sebastian, "I promise upon my life that I did not do anything. I swear to you. If you don't believe me or if you don't want to live your life like this, you can just walk away and I won't stop you. But no matter what you do, I will love you forever."
There was a pause. Goblet imagined that they kissed. Goblet need not to hear them any longer to find out where they are. Judging by the road Goblet was trailing, the couple were taking a walk. They were two groups of close separate footsteps along the dirt road. It looks like they are on their way to the beach.
Goblet took a shortcut through a cluster of small trees that were big enough to keep Goblet from being seen. The road took a large branch around those trees and by Goblet's estimate, he would be just ahead of the couple by the time he made it all the way through. Goblet made his way silently and hid behind a bush. On the left, he saw the couple walking. There would be no way to tell Goblet was there spying on them unless somehow they knew he was there.
The couple were huddled together. They were dressed in muggle clothes. Jessica was almost lying comfortably in Sebastian's grasp. She had her eyes close and almost looked like she was sleeping. Sebastian was smiling, thinking that he somehow got away with his crime and it paid off in paradise. Or at least that is what Goblet imagined he was thinking.

(I need to go now. I'll finish this off tomorrow or the next day. I don't have time to thoroughly proofread this so forgive me if I made any mistakes.)

Now to consider the options. There was no way Goblet was going to come up to them and manage them by pointing his wand at them. He had tried that method before and he had paid dearly for that. He could send some disarming or disabling spells their way. The risk is that he both spells could hit the girl while leaving Sebastian plenty of time to get his wand out. He could imperious Sebastian, but that would leave Jessica suspicious and vice versa. An option that was always last resort was to charge in and attack. But Goblet or Gabe didn't like it when civilians were attacked. In which case, if Goblet were to attack Sebastian he would also have to attack Jessica.
After Goblet considered the relationship between Sebastian and Jessica, he had made his decision. "Imperio," whispered Goblet, pointing his wand at Jessica. She gave a slight shake.
         "Something wrong, Jessica?" asked Sebastian.
"Nothing. I just slept a little accidentally," said Jessica in a slightly monotone voice. Good thing her voice was slightly muffled by Sebastian's chest. Otherwise, he might have recognized the temporary sign.
"Honey," said Jessica, retreating from Sebastian's grasp. "Go on to the beach without me."
Goblet received a slight jolt after considering that they might not be going to the beach.
         "Why?" asked a bewildered Sebastian.
Goblet now had a stronger Imperious curse over Jessica now that he had a few seconds to properly concentrate. The only way that Sebastian could become suspicious now is if he started asking personal questions out of nowhere.
"I have a surprise for you," said Jessica. "But I left it at the house. I want to give it to you, personally, on the beach."
Sebastian's bewilderment turned into an uncontrollable smile that Goblet could tell he was trying to constrain. "A surprise? A 'personal' surprise?" Goblet couldn't help but thinking that Sebastian thought that whatever this surprise is going to be, it will precede sexual intercourse.
Aye, thought Goblet. Either one or both of us are pretty perverse. At least HE has a girlfriend, of which you are now controlling.
"Just wait at the beach honey. I need to get the surprise back at the house," said Jessica.
Sebastian, still smiling uncontrollably broadly, gave a deep nod and turned around to walk to the beach. He was now cheerfully whistling and almost had a skip to his step.
Jessica was walking toward Goblet as if she was a lifeless zombie. Goblet need not put in an effort for her to look plausible to Sebastian, seeing as how he was walking faster than usual as if Jessica would come back sooner he had.
Jessica came around the large bush over to meet Goblet. "Righty right," said Goblet. Jessica had a blank stare on her face. She was completely under the spell, which wasn't a surprise. She was very physically and mentally vulnerable when Goblet hit her with the Imperious curse. "Okay, now what were those powerful words?" Goblet was carelessly swishing his wand through the air as he thought. "Oh yes. Fulminato tempore!" said Goblet strongly, aiming his wand at Jessica. A floating red orb struck Jessica. It started to charge up. It looked like it was sucking energy from everything around it. The red orb then shrunk until it could no longer be seen.
"That's good. You're doing great, honey," said Goblet, patting Jessica's cheek. "Just play along a bit more and we can get this scumbag. You know, I don't know if you love him or you are just plain dumb. I mean, how crooked do you think the Ministry of Magic is? Did you actually believe him? Or would you actually love someone who could do something so heinous?"
Jessica, of course, didn't do anything except stare blankly straight ahead of her. "Well for what is worth," Goblet sighed, "sorry for Imperiousing you. Or if you really do love him, then sorry for capturing the man you love."
Jessica just kept on staring. Goblet knew she could hear him. He straightened up. It was now time to get Sebastian.

Goblet ran along the side of the path. Jessica was running too, but she was on the path and Goblet was in the trees. Sebastian was just ahead of them. Goblet wanted to hurry before he made it to the beach. He wanted to get Sebastian as soon as he can. He just needs to wait for the right moment.
There wasn't too much trouble in catching up with Sebastian. Goblet needed not to be quiet. The trees rustling branches and leaves masked his steps heavily enough. Goblet was already almost parallel to Sebastian. Jessica soon was following. Goblet concentrated more to make her run more dramatic. Sebastian was still almost skipping to the beach.
"Sebastian!" shouted Jessica. Sebastian turned around instantly in alarm. "What is it?" he asked quickly. Jessica was still running toward him. She almost jumped into his arms into a hug. This is great.
"Detonatio!" shouted Goblet. Between Sebastian and Jessica, a small red explosion erupted between them, knock them both back in opposite directions. Their bodies twitched and fidgeted as they lay on the ground. Goblet released Jessica from the Imperious curse. He needed it no longer.
Goblet walked out of the scuffle of trees and started clapping. "That was great, guys!" said Goblet. "That was absolutely great. Very well played!"
Goblet looked down at Sebastian. He looked very sick. "What's wrong, Sebastian? Oh wait, I mean, 'what's wrong, honey?'" Goblet let out a laugh. "Man, I just feel good right now. It's not often I get a job that goes as smooth as this does."
Sebastian managed the strength to position his head and look at Goblet. "That's right," said Goblet. "There is a big bounty over your head, dead or alive. Just be glad that you will be getting the alive bounty. That is if you don't piss me off." Although Goblet said this, he wouldn't kill him unless he somehow executed an unlikely chance of killing Goblet. Despite his crime, he was still human after all.
With a few flicks of his wand, Goblet took his wand from Sebastian and made him mobile again. "Up you get, you," said Goblet. Sebastian  stood up and looked back at Jessica's limp body. "She'll be all right," assured Goblet. "Take your last look at her, or your last look as a free man anyways."

Goblet and Sebastian were walking back to Tuner Bridge. This time they were going on the road. Sebastian was walking a few ways up while Goblet stood five feet behind him wand in hand. "What's wrong, Sebastian? You were so happy ten minutes ago walking to the beach," Goblet mocked. He didn't like criminals of any kind at all. This also helps motivate him when catching targets.
"No retort?" asked Goblet. Sebastian looked like he was trying intently to ignore Goblet. He had his head down. "Wow. Usually most criminals I catch have some cheek with their supposed toughness. I remember I broke this one guy's jaw because he was so... disruptive."
"I didn't do it," said Sebastian, not looking at Goblet.
Had this been Goblet's first bounty, then he might have listened to Sebastian. "Save it," he said. "I have heard every story every target has ever said to proclaim their innocence. I'm not as dumb as your girlfriend could have been. You will say anything to get my compassion. To save us the trouble, let's just pretend that I don't give two f***s whether you are innocent or not and say that I just want the money."
Sebastian didn't say anything. Five minutes later Sebastian said, "I'll double it."
"Wow, really? That's a first," said Goblet sarcastically. "Never ever has anybody bargained with me before! What do you have? One thousand galleons? No wait. Two thousand! Wait a minute, I am doing this wrong. YOU are supposed to make up the number! Right right. Then I accept, you go pick it up, and you either SOMEHOW give me the desired sum or you make a last stand. Let me just tell you something, there are only two things in this world that you can offer me to let you go. But you don't even know me, so don't even try to ask what they are!"
And you know what?, I think I will get this special request over with."
"What?" asked Sebastian. "What special request?"
"Shut up and keep walking," said Goblet. He took his other hand and took out the envelope. He opened it and what he saw made him very curious. It was a picture.
The picture was of a little boy. He was about five years old. He was leaning his upper body on a large aired up ball and laughing as he sway back and forth. Although the boy was moving, his face was very visible and vibrant. He looked like he was having the time of his life. At the lower half of the picture in red writing said,

I want you to croak, you murdering bastard.

"He killed 6 people in a shop, including one child."

The envelope emitted a spell which made Sebastian fall to his knees and face Goblet. He had an incredibly fearful look. "What are you doing?" he whimpered.
Goblet lent out his hand and gave the picture to Sebastian. He took it with both hands and looked deep into it.
"No," he said. "No, this can't be, no!" His eyes were wide and hands were trembling. He recognized the child.
The special request was very clear. He knew what it was the minute he read the red writing.
"No, please don't. He was just a child. I didn't want him to- oh God!" Sebastian started crying. "Please, I had to. I didn't have a choice! It was supposed to be only one person! You never wanted to kill anyone, especially not the child, but I didn't have a choice. Just please hear me out!" Goblet was too shocked to call him pathetic in his mind. He didn't even mention how he did the three things almost every target does: proclaim innocence, bargain, then they beg.
But here Sebastian is, on his knees and begging for his life. Goblet never failed to carry out a special request before. He always told himself that the people like this one were criminals to justify the special requests. Looks like he is going to have to on this one.
Goblet couldn't do avada kedavra. He never bothered to learn it. If he tried it and failed, Sebastian will probably try to escape or attack Goblet. He just knew one spell that can kill. It was very painful and very bloody. But, could Goblet kill a man like this?
He suppose he better start off like he was going to kill him. Maybe he can gain the willpower as he prepares Sebastian.
"Get up," said Goblet in his strongest voice although he sounded hollow. He didn't want to do this. He felt completely terrible. "Die with dignity."
"Please good sir! Don't do this! You don't want to. My wife is pregnant!" pleaded Sebastian.
         "No she's not," said Goblet.
"I had to! I would have been killed unless I did it!"
         "Then you should have died."
         "Look into your heart!"
         "What heart?"
"Just please! Let me go! Please!"
         "GET UP! NOW!" shouted Goblet.
"Please sir!" Sebastian positioned his hands as if he were praying to Goblet. "Don't do this to me!"
Sebastian did not want to get up. Goblet closed his eyes tightly and he pointed his wand at Sebastian. His hands were shaking. He couldn't do this. He didn't want to do this. What's the point? How could he kill someone, especially like this? If Goblet killed Sebastian, then he would haunt him for a very long time.
"Please sir..." Sebastian whimpered. "You don't have to do this..."

Goblet was at Gryffindor tower. He was sitting quietly in his favorite chair by the window. The moon shined gracefully through it. His head was bowed. He felt disquieted, at unease, and didn't want to talk to anyone. He looked outside through the dark window. In the minor reflection, he saw that some blood had splattered on his face. He sighed and wiped it off with his trembling hand.
