Playing Hooky

Sky walked through the school grounds before the first bell. She made it to the beginning of the forest and sat down on a rock, out of view from anyone that wouldn't walk through. She was wearing her school top (White dress shirt) with a pair of jeans. "I can't believe I'm doing this." Sky mumbled to herself. She hadn't really played hooky before.

It was just becoming twilight time as Goblet was heading along the forest to meet Sky. She was sitting on a large rock just along the edge of the woods.

"Hey there," said Goblet. "Are you just about as pumped to go on this walk as I am?"

Sky stood up. "Oh I'm Pumped!" She exclaimed. She looked at the sky then at the dark path.

"Yeah!" exclaimed Goblet. "I totally can't wait to walk! You know what the best part about walking? The sound the leaves make! Totally!" said Goblet in an overtone. He returned to normal. "Yeah, I'm good now," he said to Sky.

Sky laughed. "Anxious are we?" She motioned her hand torward the path. "Shall we?"

"Yes, we shall," said Goblet and started walking along with Sky into the forest. "How has life been treating you lately Sky?" asked Goblet.

"Oh it has it's ups and downs." Sky said, taking slow, average steps. "How about yourself?"

"I'm just enjoying literally everything that is around myself. Just walking and appreciating, although people don't look at immobile and everyday things like I do. But I do have to say that just looking at them, you know trees, grass, the lake, and all that, it's refreshing," said Goblet, sidling along Sky's pace.

"I love watching the lake when it's around two AM. When everything is just right. The breeze, the way the moon reflects off of the lake, the way the waves brush against the shore." Sky smiled as she pictured such a perfect scene. "I like it best when it rains though." Sky said to him.

"You gotta love rain. It just makes everything better, especially the atmosphere. Also it is just plain fun getting wet by the rain. Otherwise, getting wet isn't fun at all unless you are swimming," said Goblet.

"Thats true." Sky said. "I love getting soaked by the rain." She said before taking in a large breath of the fresh forest air.

"Seconded," said Goblet. "Gotta love all types of precipitation. I even enjoy a few disasters now and then. If it's really bad, then it gets my adrenaline going." After a short pause, Goblet said. "I don't even know if I was joking in my last two sentences."

Sky laughed. "Like riding through a hurricane?" She tried to picture such a thing. 150 MPH winds pushing you back while you fight the rain.

"Now that would be something, riding hurricanes. If people could actually do that, that would be so awesome," said Goblet, imagining doing so. "Now I just have a sudden urge for a flash flood to come through this forest, allowing us to ride it. The trees in the way would only be a part of the fun."

Sky grinned, imagining the excitement. "Ooh, and with lots of twisters, made of fire." She said laughing. "Then when it's all over, we land as if nothing happened."
