Older and alone

Sarah was sitting in her office fileing papers like she had did for the ministry. The only difference was that now she was at her house and no one was there to come and interupt her. She loved her life that she had but it was just getting to hard to handle. She had stopped working at hogwarts as a sub because she thoguht that it was what was causing her to loose business. The truth was that the reason she was loseing the business was for the fact that she did not have a place to keep them all.

"this is great. I mean the kids are at school and Siruis has got a big trial coming up. That leaves me hear alone because of the fact that I have no animals to take care of and the shop is closed for the day." Sarah felt as if she might go crazy she never had it where there were no animals here. This was the first time and she was not really ready for that feeling yet. She smiled this would give her time to paint some. She then walked to the shop and the one wall that she had left blank for so long. She then started to paint Siruis, her kids, and herself in the middle. Once she got that done she added Cody and Ginny. Then she decided that she would put Xaver. Last on the other side she put Albus and Jessie.

"That it. I mean I really like it. I have done better though." She looked and relized that all of them has what you would call sad faces.

A snap announced Sirius's return from yet another long, hard day at work. He quickly rushed in, leaving the door open in his hurry. In his hands were parchments were so many papers he could barely see where he was going. Under his arm pits he held scrolls of parchments, all squeezed tight by his muscles trying to hold everything. His cloak was slung over his right arm and his briefcase was in his left hand. An empty coffee cup hung from his mouth like a bone in a dogs mouth. A mess was an understatement where Sirius's hair was concerned. Along with his dark blue shirt and black pants as well. A stain was clearly visible on his sleeve and his neck was sweating so bad it produced a darker shade of blue then the rest of his normally well kept shirt.

He took no notice as he rushed, clearly losing steam, to the couch. Throwing everything on the table in a heap of a mess he fell to the couch, out of breath. He closed his eyes as a few papers slid off the top of the table. Ignoring them he breathed a heavy sigh, rubbing his face with his left hand while his right lay across the top of the couch. He still did not notice Sarah, nor did he show any care in what was going on around him. He was to exhausted to care about anything.

Sarah smiled. "welcome home honey."

She then used a spell to sort the paper out for you. She knew that she was going to help you it was sort of a unwritten rule Sarah would do all the sorting. She knew that he was tired so she left him alone. Instead she picked up her papers and was going to finish them in her office. She figured he would just want to sleep and with her talking to her self that would not work.

"Sirius if you need me I will be in my office." She then opened the door to there and walked in.

"Erruh" Sirius mumbled not opening his eyes. He went about massaging his forehead then, hoping to relieve some of the stress in his head. He failed miserably. After a few more minutes he slowly opened his eyes and stood, stretching. His knees popped as he began to slowly walk to the kitchen. He grabbed a banana from the counter before turning around once more and walking to Sarah's office.

He didn't know what she was doing and was curious.

Sarah was in there finishing the filling of all the papers they had. She was not going to bother Sirius with it but she was also going through and looking at the bills. They had lost a lot of money since she had lost some of the costomers. She ment that she was down there trying to figure out how they were going to pay for the shop this month. She saw Sirius come in so she put that bill in the desk that said finished with so that it would look like she was not worried.

"So Siruis how was your day at work."

Sirius sighed, peeling back the banana. He didn't speak for a moment, merely took a bite of the fruit and leaned  his head against the door frame. "Exhausting once more." He said calmly, opening his tired eyes to look at Sarah.

Sarah smiled as she turned and walked over to him. She was wanting to get away from the bills for a while. "Well that fine. I mean I was pretty tired to so I know how you feel." She then yawned. "I'm more bored now though."

Sirius examined his banana, peeled it more, and taking one large bite, eating the whole thing. He smiled through big cheeks "Me too." He laughed at himself as he tried to talk and chew at the same time. He placed a hand on his lips, laughing through banana.

Sarah thought that was funny and laughed. "well what you want to do. I mena I already painted that other wall out on in the main shop so I don't know what to do."

Sarah used her wand to bring some water to her.

Sirius quickly walked forward and before the water got to Sarah he reached out, grabbing it and taking a sip before handing it to her. He smiled a wickedly brilliant smile before looking at the ceiling, thinking.

He finally spoke after a moment "It seems like another life that I was outside just because I could be outside," he said idly thinking of those days at Hogwarts that he loved most.

"Let's go on a walk," he said excitedly holding out his hand for Sarah.

Sarah smiled as she grabbed his hand and then sipped her water. "okay lets go for that walk. I mean your right it has been a long time since we were out side just cause we could be."

Sirius smiled and massaged her hand with his thumb as he walked to the door, opening it. He grabbed a key from a hook next to the door before stepping into the sun shine. "Ah," he closed his eyes, breathing in the fresh air.

Sarah smiled as she walked out of the door with him. "I love the sun in my face." Sarah then went to lock her doors.

Sirius smiled nodding in agreement. "Me too. I missed this," he closed his eyes and let the sun soak into his skin, breathing deeply and enjoying the day for what it was worth.

Sarah then wrapped his and arm around him more. "So I have something I need to tell you. We have to be quiet though."
