Nate roled his eyes and smiled slightly,"I dont care." he replied outloud to both questions.

The doctor cleared his throat, looked at Stacey and Nate, then left the room quietly.

Stacey sighed loudly again. "Don`t try to hide anything Nate, you know I don`t care if you`re upset around me. At least you can`t cry in front of me. How many times have you seen me break down?"

"Hey hey!" Leah said trying to get Stacey to calm down.  She had hopped up on the examination table and was dangling her legs off of it. "I mean, feel free to vent, but try to keep it down a little..."

Stacey grumbled. "I just got attacked, I think I have a little room to vent." She complained in a softer tone.

Nate layed his hand on her cheek,"You should probly rest." He replied, his voice silky. He took his cold hand off of her face and looked away and out of the window. His eyes clouded with concern and anger.

((They`re at the base of the school.))

Stacey grunted and picked up his hand again. She rested it on her cheek and closed her eyes. "The cold feels good." She explained before he could protest.

Nate had then layed his other hand on her othr cheek. and leaned forward and kissed her on the forehead. "Is that better?"

Leah looked away, letting them have the moment.  She began to think more in depth about what might have happened to Stacey. 

If Stacey had been attacked, that meant that there was a dangerous vampire around somewhere.

Stacey nodded her head a fraction of an inch and back, not wanting to disturb his hands. She could feel Leah`s thoughts pulsing in her mind. *Yes.* She answered simply.

Leah hadn't realized that her thoughts were available for the others to read.  She was startled when Stacey's answer entered her mind.  She replied quickly, thinking, ~Do you know who it was?~

*No. It was a stranger. I`m betting he thought I was a Muggle. Bet I surprised him.* She smiled. *And I`m using your power, so I can hear you." Stacey added, answering two questions at the same time. She didn`t try to keep these thoughts away from Nate, but for some reason she hoped he hadn`t heard her.

~Righto...~ Leah said.  ~And I'm using my power so I want to know why Nate shouldn't hear this?~

She tried to keep her face blank, but her face showed question, along with a demand for the truth.  Her head tipped slightly, and she pursed her lips.

~Remember... I'll know if you're lying...~

Stacey pursed her lips then looked up to Nate`s troubled face. She forcefully blocked her mind from him, along with blocking Leah`s thoughts to him. *I don`t know who attacked me. He had blonde hair. I would recognize him instantly if I saw him.* She thought with a bit of an edge to Leah.

~Ok Ok!~ Leah thought to Stacey.  ~Calm down! I was just asking! But you didn't answer my question.  Why can't Nate hear this?~  She asked, making sure that Nate wouldn't hear their thoughts.

Stacey smiled and moved one of Nate`s hands from her cheek to her neck. She hoped he wouldn`t think anything of it-- she had just been attacked, after all.

*Because I won`t let him.* She replied smugly. *All it takes is will. You have to knwo what you want.* It seemed odd that Stacey would be lecturing Leah about her powers. Leah had had the powers much longer than herself, but Stacey payed closer attention. She had to. She had to be able to control all of the powers so that when she met the power she could use it, otherwise she would be dead by now.
