New years eve.

Stacey rolled her eyes again. "I didn`t say those were knives." She said, annoyed. She blocked her mind, having successfully managed to copy Ginny`s impetrable block. Now she could think freely without having her mind reviewed by someone she barely knew.

"By the way, I am engaged." She said as she walked after Hayden.

[Hayden]

He stoped and looked at her, "Ew"he said flat out.  "I never thought of you in that way."he said, "If I did think of you it would be as a sister, or a close family friend."

Hayden then laughed, "I can't belive you thought that."

Stacey smiled again. "Obviously my block worked." She said walking past him. She flashed her left hand at him, showing off her diamond ring.

[Hayden]

"Your sick"he said to her then walked past her.  He went down the stairs, and then turned into the Great Hall

Stacey followed at her own pace. "Wow, I expected a bigger response to that; I`m fifteen and engaged."

[Hayden]

He looked at her,  "Did he get you pregent?"he asked.

Stacey stopped and gave Hayden a deadly look. "He did nothing like that. And don`t say anything like that to me ever again." Her eyes were blood red as she stared at him.

[Hayden]

He looked at her and shrugged, "You wanted to bigger response, there you go"he said to her and laughed.

Stacey looked away from him, her eyes still deadly. "That`s not what I meant." She said bitterly, sitting down. A silver plate appeared in front of her with squares of white chocolate covering it.

[Hayden]

"OK, OK im sorry."he said to her, "Just calm down"he added.

He started eating some fries and then looked at her.

Stacey stared at her plate as she bit a piece of chocolate in half. She layed the other half on the plate, and slowly it started to melt.

[Hayden]

He looked at her, and then saw her relax a little.  Just like she had a secret power so did he.  His was that he could change moods.  Say they was a big fight going on, he could calm it down and relax people, make them feel happy, just like he could make somebody get mad.  But the thing is, nobody could use his own power against him.

Stacey realized that she was suddenly calm, and why. She immediatly tore her soul away from everything else; another trick she had learned from Ginny. She looked up and glared at Hayden.

[Hayden]

He looked at him and back down, "Sorry, its a habit.", he said the put a fry in his mouth.

"I`m sure." Stacey said bitterly. She was a little disappointed; she had expected Hayden to become a quick friend, not that they would be competing like this.
