Leah said.  "Maybe you should try to help your mother to see that!  To her it might just be a new thing, she's probably afraid of it, even!"  Leah didn't want it to seem as though she was talking sides, even though she would be on Stacey's side any day of the week.  She tried to just throw ideas out there, take Stacey's mind off of the divorce a little.
