I really, really love all the books but the third is my favorite....for the following reasons:

first book: kinda old and kinda boring
second book: kinda icky (SPIDERS! EEK!)
third book:  crazy awesome!
fourth book: like ALL Harry
fifth book: Harry yells too much...he's definately playing the moody teenager role!

there are 6 books so far...
and my fave is definitely the Goblet of Fire...i just love the ideas behind that!!! I cannot wait for the movie to come out in november...
book 6 was also good especially the ending! (snapey finally got his turn in the limelight!!!) but i wasnt mad about book two or five.

I like #1 the best, it was when the series was new, we were all first getting sucked into the HP life and world, we had no idea what was going to happen in the rest of the series either, it was extremely open ended, unlike now at the 6th book, we know pretty much whats going to happen, whereas years ago we would have had no clue! Well thats the reason I like the first the most, if you disagree, I respect your opinion.
