Alice sighed and leaned back. She scooted a little farther away, then leaned back and rested her head in his lap so she could lok up at him or the stars. She couldn`t believe that he wanted to hear about her dream wedding.

"Well, ivory, not white. That`s a big thing. And no roses. They remind too much of funerals, which I guess is kind of clichè. Um, no carpet in the church. It`s just so... new. Not traditional. Not very many guests, just close friends and family." She glanced up at him to see what he thought so far.

[Sky]

Seth stroked her hair as she spoke, listening intently. He chuckled when she said roses  reminded her of funerals.

"What about lillies?" He suggested.


He nodded when she looked up at him. "I don't want a lot of guests either. Nothing extravagant. I hate super fancy weddings."

Alice smiled. "Lillies are good. I like tiger lillies." Then it hit her. They were planning a wedding. Their wedding, no less. How that get past her?

She continued, but a little slower. "Extravanganet weddings either say that you`re trying to hard, or you have money." She said softly, her eyes back on the sky.

[Sky]

Seth looked up at the sky as well. The stars here were  nothing like at home. Here, they were so bright and were always twinkling. Never dull.

"They just aren't fun. They take away from the meaning of the ceremony." He said.


((OMG! My cat is sleeping and he rolled over on his side and he did it so cutely. Hahahaha.))

Alice`s eyes drifted back to Seth`s, full of wonder.

"Seth," She asked softly, "how can you continue to amaze me? It`s not natural. I should know everything about you. What your thinking, what your next move will be. But I don`t. Everything you do is against human nature."

[Sky]

The question kind of surprised him. Was he really that different?

Seth merely smiled, his expression soft. "I'm special." That was the only answer he could give.

A smile spread across Alice`s face again.

"You are special. You would have to be special for me to notice you. You`ve been special since I met you." His fingers were still in her hair, but she didn`t mind. She just let his scent wash over her.

[Sky]

"Of all people to notice..." Seth muttered. Seth was just  some guy. There really wasn't anything interesting about him.

Alice`s smile widened as she read the rest of his sentence in his mind.
"You know, I don`t exactly have everything figured out, either."

[Sky]

Seth grinned and leaned back, his hands supporting him on the ground.

"Its getting late." He said, noticing how high the moon was.

The moon told her that it was about ten.
"Yeah. You tired?" She asked. She would take him back if he wanted to, but she didn`t have a problem with staying. She didn`t have to sleep, and she didn`t really have to go to her classes, either.

[Sky]

"Not really." Seth said. "I've got a free period in the morning anyway." He looked down at her.

"So what are ya thinkin' about?" He asked curiously.

Why did he have to ask that question? One of the only questions she wasn`t ready to answer. She could lie, of course, but she had promised herself that she wouldn`t lie to him. Besides, he could probably read the answer in her better than she could. She could twist the truth. That wasn`t lying, exactly, but still...

"You. Me. Us." She asnwered simply. She sat up and smoothed her pink skirt down. It looked washed out in the moonlight.

[Sky]

Seth raised a brow.  What about them exactly? He wouldn't ask. He didn't need to prod.

"Ah. Okay."

Alice rolled her eyes, a human gesture. She could so tell that he wanted to know more. Her back was to him, so he couldn`t see her expressions, but she could read his all too easily.

"Well, you basically tricked me into talking about my dream wedding, and I`m not doubting that you`ll do your best to make ours as close to that as possible. Tonight, we`ve gone from being on the tip of the knife, to falling off, and back to being fine. Your mood swings are getting me confused." She shrugged, not thinking that she needed to go on.
