Here you go guys...now we can recommend books without getting off topic!!!

I'll start with my recommendations.

Anything Jane Austen:
well, I made a list somewhere in the Gryffindor common room of JA's books.

Anything by any of the Bronte's, but I recommend starting out with Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights

Shakespear's cool most of the time, I like R&J, but Julius Caesar was BORING!!! Don't read it until you have to, because you'll eventually have to.

Ann Rinaldi, for those of you who are nerds like me and like historical fiction... ;)

The Witch of Blackbird Pond is a good book, I first read it in fifth grade and then again in seventh, so I guess I should read it again now that I'm in tenth....hmmm, I'll have to think about that!

The Three Musketeers.....one word....HILARIOUS!!!!

There you go, there are my recommendations!!!! Someone please let me know if you are planning on reading any of these books, so that way I can bug you about it!!!!

Oh, and another one, Johnny Tremain....that's a good book, historical ficton again!

I would like to recommened:

The EverWorld series~ This is sooo awesome!  But really confusing... there are 11 books so far, but they are really short.  By K. A. Applegate.

The Wild Magic series~ I've only read The Realm of the Gods, and that was the last book, but it was really good!  By Tamora Pierce.

Mermaid Summer.. can't remember who it's by...

Ella Enchanted and The Two Princesses of Bamare~ terrific stories!  Both by Gail Carson Levine.

Ummm... I can't remember the name of this one book... it was about Merlin and fishing... I'll check the library at school tomorrow.

And I forgot the name of his other one!  I can remember the covers, but not the titles... sorry!  Most of the books I listed were from 7th grade while in Reading (although I love reading, the class FOR reading sucks!)

I also recommened the Harry Potter series.. heehee  ;D

Oh, I noticed you put Ella Enchanted!! I have it, but I haven't read it yet, but I have read Just Ella, which is very good, and is also a sort of spin off of Cinderella, except it's more of a sequel, and things don't always turn out the way you would expect them to.

I must also recomment Artimus Fowl, even though I have only read 4
pages of it. But from what I read, I liked it! ^_^

A few books I recommend are:

Walk Two Moons
The Chinese Siamese Cat (childrens book, but still good!)
Broken Sky (American anime - has a lot of action!) &
Dinotopia (very creative!)
And if you're up to it,

The Mists of Avalon
The Journey to the West (very looooooong-haven't finished it yet myself)
The Hobbit (if you haven't read it yet) &
The Lord of the Rings (hopefully you have read it!)

And those are my recommendations! (sp?)

I read the Hobbit and I couldn't stand it, although it could have been because I was in seventh grade and hadn't gotten to the point where I would 'appreciate" it yet. Like To Kill A Mockingbird...I did not like that book, but I respected it.
