Sky

Sky glanced at Jason before looking back at the waitress.

"Just some water for me please." She said with a polite smile. "Thank you."

She watched the waitress take off to get their drinks before bringing her attention back to Jason. She studied his features, like the texture of his hair and the smooth surface of his skin, the strength in his jaw. But what she found most interesting were his eyes. To Sky, the eyes of a person told everything about them. It told their story. And Sky could see a lot in Jason's eyes. She could see his struggles and his fears. But she could see the happiness in them too. And that was so relieving.

Jason`s light blue eyes locked with Sky`s dark ones, and he stared into them. He knew that his eyes were a window right into his heart right now. He had been good at hiding his feelings from others, but arouns Sky he just couldn`t pretend to be someone else.

He had spent most of his life fighting for the good guys while pretending to be a bad one. He had lied to many people, sometimes the wrong ones, and innocent peple had died because of him. He had killed people before, and their blood would forever be on his hands. That showed in his eyes, but he hoped Sky could see the love and happiness she put into him. He had never been quite happy until he met her.

Slowly he reached across the table and took both of her hands in his.

"I love you, Sky." He said softly, still looking up into her eyes.

((Oh yeah! Not a one-liner!))
"Get out of my way! I'm a free spirit!"
FOREVER WILL NEVER BE LONG ENOUGH.
"And now I understand a phrase I once thought odd;
I guess to love another person is to see the face of God."

Sky

Sky gingerly squeezed his hands, her gray eyes locked onto his light blue.

"I love you too, Jason." She nearly whispered. And it was true. She loved him more than anyone else she had ever known. He had a special place in her heart. Jason understood Sky more than her own friends did. They had both been in the same boat with the whole death eater thing. And though Sky probably never did the things Jason did, she still loved him and it would never change that. Nothing would.

((I gotta go. We need to find something for them to fight over.))

Jason smiled, this time his white teeth flashing against his tanned skin. Her words sent a shiver through him and made him feel... well, content. Happy. He didn`t know a time when he had felt better. Never in his life had he had the chance to do what he wanted, to be around who he wanted. Maybe he was just getting spoiled, but he never wanted to let Sky go. He loved her, and she loved him, and nothing could ever change that.

So, of course, that`s when the waitress came back with the drinks, breaking the little spell.
"Get out of my way! I'm a free spirit!"
FOREVER WILL NEVER BE LONG ENOUGH.
"And now I understand a phrase I once thought odd;
I guess to love another person is to see the face of God."

Sky

"Here you go." The waitress said, putting on a fake smile as she set down their beverages in front of them on the paper place mats.

"Is there anything I can get you?" She asked, reaching for her small order pad and pen. She flipped it open to a blank page and clicked the pen. Sky looked at Jason.

"What are you getting?" She asked curiously, undecisive.

Jason smiled and ripped open his straw wrapper and twirled it around his water.

"Whatever you want. I suggest their pizza, smells amazing." He replied with a sideways grin. He rested his chin in his hand, staring across the table at Sky.

Sky

Sky handed the menu to the waitress. "Alright. May I have a slice of your pepperoni pizza please?" She asked politely. The waitress nodded as she scribbled it down before turning her position to Jason.

"And for you sir?" She said.

Jason waved his hand dismissively.

"Same for me." He agreed. The waitress nodded and turned, scribbling it under the other order. He tilted his head and smiled at Sky.

"You`re probably wondering why I wanted you to dress nice if we were just having pizza." He said softly.

Sky

Sky watched as the waitress strolled away to another table before dropping off the order.

"It might have crossed my mind." She said, turning back to him and smiling. She shrugged.

Jason nodded again, still smiling.

"Yes, well... how good of a dancer are you?" His voice was soft, and he looked up into Sky`s eyes with a little amusement. He wasn`t the greatest dancer, himself, but he figured he knew enough.

Sky

Sky bit her lip and shrugged lightly again.

"Well, I'm not terrible, but I'm certainly not good enough to be on one of those muggle dancing shows." She grinned. "I promise not to step on any feet."

Jason laughed softly.

"That`s okay. And I promise not to let you fall; I`ll catch you." He winked at her and held out his hand.

((SHORTNESS.))

Sky

Sky sighed, happily and smile and she took his hand.

((I win the shortness award!))

(( =P ))

Jason squeezed her fingers, tracing his own over the back of her hand.

"You know, you`re really beautiful." He said softly, staring into her dark eyes.

Sky blushed pink and winked.

"You're not so bad yourself, handsome." She said, a grin appearing between her lips.
