HP and the Return of Hermione's Time Turner

Here's a *little* bit more......



"Now, what I want you to do is clean the staircase.  It's been filthy and needs a good scrubbing.  Once you are done with that, I want you to polish the rails.  Then you can go back to your common room.  Here are the things you will need, " McGonagall pointed to a soapy, water filled pail, rag, and polishing kit.  "Note that you aren't allowed to use your magic to help you clean.  If you do, I'll give you more work.  Good night."  McGonagall walked away leaving Hermione alone in the dark corridor.  This wasn't going to be a fun detention.

After an hour of cleaning down the long staircase, she only got to the middle.  While humming a soft tune, she dipped the rag in the soapy water and started scrubbing the new step.  But for some reason, all of a sudden, her hand smarted.  It felt like she pricked her palm on some glass.  Then Hermione remembered something; this was the same staircase as the one she and Ron fell down some weeks ago, and was transported here!  So then that glass must be from...

Hermione took out her wand and muttered Lumos.  She hovered her wand over the area where she cut herself on the glass.  There were only a few shards, but also a very thin layer of sand.  Oh great!  Now we'll never get home.  Hermione plopped down on the stairs getting her butt soaked.  She rested her elbows on her knees, and cradled her head in her hands, completely ignoring the blood dripping from her hand.

"What are we going to do now?  I can't believe this is happening!  This is just terrific."  She thought aloud.

After about ten minutes of just sitting there, she stood up and collected what was left of the time turner, put it in her pocket, then kept cleaning.

Heehee! That cleaning part reminded me of Cinderella for some reason... o.O; Heh. But anyway, keep going! ^_^

Great post Shui!  Gengi's right...it reminded me of Cinderella too!  u know in the disney cartoon one?  she's cleaning by some stairs and when she's done, the cat comes and makes it dirty again.  cats can be soo mean! >:(
