Kiara went then, to another set of doors. When she opened them she found the bathroom. In the middle was a tub, the size of a small pool.

Awe, just what I needed. She thought to herself.

She went in and filled the tub with warm water, adding some fragrant oil to it then, she undressed and got in.

After she got out of the bath, she went to the bed and put the little black dress on and, selected some jewelry to wear with it.

One piece, was a silver pendant with, what looked to have, the Malfoy Coat of Arms on it. She figured that by the fact that the car that had picked them up, had the same Coat on it. When she was done with her hair and make-up, she realized she had no shoes to go with the dress.

Quickly, she went to the cord the maid had pointed out and, pulled on it. A few minutes later, the same woman, came in.

"Can I help you with something?" She asked, in her friendly, old ladies voice.

"Yes, it seems as though, I don't have the proper shoes to go with the dress that Mr. Malfoy bought for me." Kiara replied.

"No problem." The Maid answered with a kind smile.

The maid took out her wand and, presto, one pair of black silk heels.

Kiara thanked her again as she walked out the doors.

Now, why didn't I think of that? Kiara laughed at herself.

There was still about twenty minutes until dinner so, Kiara decided to check out her balcony. She opened the glass doors to find a large balcony, overlooking a formal garden.

It's so, beautiful. She thought to herself.

Then, a few minutes later, there was a knock at her door.

"Come in." she said from the balcony. Not wanting to leave it, just yet.

"Were are you?" Draco asked from the door-way.

"Out here, on the balcony."

Draco went out to her and, stopped dead in his tracks at the sight of her.

"Y, you look, absolutely beautiful." He said, regaining his composure.

Kiara blushed, slightly.

The dress that Lucius had given her was open in the back, down to her waist and fit like a glove.

"Y, your dad got this for me." she smiled at him.

Draco walked over to her and, putting his hands around her waist, he ran his hands up her back.

Kiara shivered at the feel of his hands on her back.

Then, he kissed her.

Kiara's head was spinning, being with him, out side of the school seemed, somehow, different. She was loosing herself.

Thankfully, after a few minutes, her maid was knocking at the door.

"Dinner will be served in a few minutes." She said, obviously a little embarrassed to have interrupted them.

"Thank you, again." Kiara said, giving the maid a very thankful look.

The woman smiled and winked at her.

Kiara and Draco arrived in the dining room just as the servants were setting the table. Lucius motioned them to sit. So, they did.

"You look wonderful, Kiara." He said, his eyes coming to rest, just a moment, on the pendant she had chosen to wear.

"I trust, your room is to your liking?"

"Yes, It's wonderful." Kiara smiled.

"Draco can show you the rest of the place, after dinner."

"Yes, as I promised." Draco smiled at her.

Dinner was being served and they continued to talk about school and, Lucius said they'd go into town, in a couple of days.

After dinner, Draco took her on a tour, as promised. They ended the tour at her room.

"I'm going to go change. I'll meet you back here in an hour." Draco said then, he left.

Kiara went to her trunk and found a full length nightgown lying upon it with, a shear robe to put over. She slipped out of her dress and into the night gown and robe. She then decided to explore her room some more. She found a small door, towards the front by the balcony and decided to go through. She opened it to find a set of steps, leading down, she followed them.

There was another door at the bottom which, she opened to find out it led to the garden.

The garden was all lit up by fairies, playing and dancing around in the flowers and bushes. Kiara started walking around the edge of the garden and noticed that she was being followed by a bunch of ferries. She stopped. The ferries began flying about her, playing with her hair and laughing.

Pretty soon, she found that if, she listened closely, she could tell what they were saying. She was having so much fun, with the ferries, she didn't notice Draco standing by the door watching her. He was smiling.

The ferries would fly around her and she'd twirl around laughing. Every now and then, she'd cup her hands and bring them up to her ear. She usually blushed when she took them away again.

I can't believe, she's actually dancing, with the fairies. Draco said to himself.

Kiara looked over at him and smiled. The fairies were all over her. She was covered in fairy dust, from head to foot. It made her glow, just like them.

She motioned for Draco to come over. When he did, the ferries flew off. Kiara kissed him. The ferries came back, slowly at first but when they realized, he wasn't going to try and catch them the started flying around the two of them, again.

"They think your cute." Kiara laughed.

"You can understand them?"

"Ya, I can talk to all sorts of creatures. I just found out about the fairies, though." She laughed again then, blushed.

"What'd they say?"

Kiara didn't answer, she just giggled, instead.

"That little one, over there"  She pointed at a very small, green, fairy "She wishes you were smaller so that she could kiss you too." Kiara laughed.

Draco looked shocked.

Then, Kiara scooped up the little green ferry and releaser her by Draco. They fairy flew right up to his face then, kissed him on the nose. Kiara and Draco both laughed.

They stayed and played with the ferries for a while longer before leaving back inside. They were both completely glowing, by the time they got back up to Kiara's room.

"Look at us, we're glowing." Kiara laughed.

"Ya, we look like a couple of large, walking, lanterns. Want to go get something to drink?"

He grabbed her arm, not waiting for a reply, and together they went down to the kitchen for a drink.

Lucius was there. When he saw them, he raised his brow.

"You two are glowing, what did you do to yourselves?" He asked.

Draco and Kiara looked at each other and laughed. They couldn't help it. Then,

"It would seem, father, that the fairies in the garden have taken a liking to Kiara." Draco said, choking back a laugh.

Kiara nodded her head.

"Oh, really." He regarded the two of them a moment. "Fairies are usually very shy and keep to themselves. This is the first time, I've seen, anyone, covered in fairy dust. How interesting. Would the two of you like a drink?"

Lucius offered each a glass in which, he poured champagne.

"A toast then, to our guest." Lucius said and, together, the three of them stood around talking until, the bottle was emptied an hour later.

"Well, I think it's time for bed." Lucius said.

Kiara smiled, a devilish smile and, before Lucius knew what hit him, she gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Good night, Mr. Malfoy, and thanks."

With that said and done, she took, the stunned, Draco by the hand and took off to her room.

"That, was, priceless, did you see the look on his face!" Draco was about splitting with laughter.

"I don't think he's ever had one of my, err, well ok, girlfriends kiss him. Good one, Kiara."

Kiara just stood there, looking curiously at Draco.

"What? What are you looking at me like that for?" Draco asked, suddenly very apprehensive about the situation.

"Oh, nothing. I've always heard the awful stories surrounding your father. He doesn't seem that bad. He seems, almost --- sweet at times. Although, I must admit, he does make me nervous sometimes too. I think he deserved that kiss. He did after all, buy me that dress and this nightgown, which I do believe, I'll have to change out of, seeing as though, it's still glowing."

Draco looked at her, his expression was subdued.

"You really have no clue, do you, Kiara." Draco said, slowly shaking his head.

Then, he went on to tell her how he usually is and, how he really doesn't care much for anything or anyone except, Voldem0rt and his cause.

"That's why, mum left." He paused, "Anyway, you were saying you needed to get out of that gown? Want some help?" Draco asked, hopefully.

"No, I don't think so. You should go to your room now. I'm tired."

With that, she kissed him and rushed him out the door. Then, after bathing, again, to get the fairy dust off, she too went to sleep.

#95
The next morning at breakfast, Kiara noted that Lucius wasn't in a particularly good mood.

"After breakfast, you and I need to talk, Draco. Kiara, I've arranged for one of the servants to take you horse-back riding, for the morning." Lucius said, he had a particularly dark look to him.

"Sounds great." Kiara smiled, trying to lighten the situation, a bit.

"But, I wanted too ---"

Draco was cut short.

"You and I need to have a talk, Draco. You'll live with out her for the morning." Lucius replied, stiffly to his son.

Draco looked at Kiara as if to say See what I was talking about. So, after breakfast, Kiara gave Draco a kiss and left to change and go riding.

Lucius took Draco into the drawing room and shut the doors behind them. He motioned for Draco to have a seat. Draco sat down. Lucius stood there, with his back turned to his son, for some time before speaking.

"Lord Voldem0rt wishes me to bring his daughter to him, tonight. You must convince her to work with him. She really is a delightful person and, I wouldn't want to think about life around here without her."

He came out with it so suddenly that, Draco felt like he had been hit by a ton of bricks. He knew this would come about, sooner or later but, he was hoping, for later.

"Don't you think it is a little early for this, she just got here." Draco said, franticly but, he knew the answer.

"Lord Voldamort has made his decision, Draco. Who are we to question it!" Lucius said, angrily to his son. "You'd do good to remember your place! Need I give you a reminder!" Lucius stared in anger at his son for questioning Voldem0rt.

"Crucio!" he yelled.

Draco screamed in pain.

"I can't believe you, still, try and question our Lord and master.

***********

Kiara returned that afternoon for lunch. She noticed, Draco's mood had declined, considerably, in her absence. She would however, wait until they were alone to ask what the problem was, though.

"Did you have a good ride, Kiara?" Lucius asked politely.

"Yes, sir. Thank you. Your stables are really quite wonderful. How many horses do they hold?"

"They house 34 horses and, some other creatures as well."

Lunch went on this way for what seemed an eternity to Draco. Finally, it was over and, Draco took Kiara back up to her room where, they were alone, once again.

Kiara turned to him and gently kissed him.

"What's wrong, Draco." she asked.

"Well, guess you had better put on your Sunday best. Dear old daddy, wishes to see you, tonight." Draco replied, sarcastically.

Kiara paled.

"I'm supposed to talk you into considering his proposal, about joining him." Draco said, darkly.

"Tonight? I knew it would come sooner or later but ---"

"Ya, I tried to point out the fact that you just got here and all it got me was, punished, for my insolent behavior towards our, dear, Lord Voldem0rt!" Draco snapped at her.

Kiara took a step back from him.

Then, holding his gaze, she asked, "What, did, your father do to you to make you so, well, peevish?"

Draco, still holding her gaze only had to say one thing.

"Crutatious Curse"

Kiara's eyes flashed dangerously.

"Kiara? Kiara, don't. Just leave it alone. I'm used to it by now. It's just his way of reminding me of my place."

Kiara, if possible, looked even more angry than before.

"Your place! What place! Your, place, is were you want it to be, Draco. Put you in your place indeed, will he?! Use Crutatious Curse on his own son, just because he questions, MY father! I'll ---"

Draco had to do something, Kiara was getting angrier by the second. So, he grabbed onto her and forced her to kiss him. It seemed to work, at first. Then, Kiara pushed him away.

"NO!" she yelled at him.

"Yes!" Draco yelled back.

Then, panicking he grabbed her and threw her onto the bed and pinned her there.

"The only way, you are going to get up is, either by hurting me, or calming down!"

He knew she wouldn't hurt him, seeing how angry she got when his father had done so. So, he just stayed there, holding her arms to the bed and, sitting over her.

*************

Harry and Sirius were having dinner when, all of a sudden, Harry felt a surge of complete anger, flow through him. Sirius noted his change in posture.

"What is it Harry? You look, mad at something."  He asked.

Harry looked questionably at Sirius then, after he had controlled the feeling, he laughed.

Sirius looked at Harry as if he had gone mad.

"It's Kiara, she's opened herself to me again, if on purpose, I don't know but, she's really angry, with someone."

Sirius shook his head and laughed.

"Sorry Sirius, I guess it just hit me really hard. Almost lost it there for a moment. I wonder who she's angry with. Whoever it is, I fell kinda sorry for."

They continued their dinner. Harry smiled. It was the first time, since she had moved to Slytherin, that Kiara had let him in.

**********

Finally, Kiara started to calm down. She knew she couldn't do anything about it. so, she relaxed and started to cry, Draco put both her wrists in one hand. And, using the other, turned her, now tear stained, face to his. He couldn't help it, he bent down and kissed her. This time, she returned his kiss.

After some time, Draco, rolled over and laughed.

"You weren't even going to try and stop me." He said, shocked at her.

"I needed to know, if you respected me enough to, stop yourself." Kiara replied. "Besides, if you hadn't, I would have thrown you across the room, anyway." she said, turning to him and giving him an evil smile.

Draco didn't feel so sure of himself then.

"Well, seeing as how, I'm half undressed, anyway. I think it's time for you to go, so that I can bath and dress, for dinner."

"I could help with that, you know." Draco said, teasing.

"You're awful." Kiara laughed. "Now, out!"

She sat up, holding her shirt closed and, pointed towards the door. Draco, reluctantly, left the room.

Dinner that night, was a somewhat, stressful occasion. Kiara kept giving Lucius dirty looks, Draco kept giving Kiara, pleading looks and, Lucius just sat there, quietly, clueless.

"I'm sorry, Kiara but, my master, your father, won't wait. He wants to see you tonight. So, I must bring you to him." Lucius said, finally breaking the silence.

Kiara's eyes flashed once again and, she was about to explode on Lucius, not about Voldem0rt but, about Lucius's choice of punishment for his son. Draco caught her eye and looked pleadingly at her. So, she calmed herself and, just sat there, not trusting herself to speak a word.

"We will meet him at Knockturn Alley in two hours time. So, we leave directly after we finish here."

Kiara still said nothing.

If Draco thought that dinner was stressful, it was nothing, compared to the car ride to Knockturn Alley. Lucius kept trying to make up to Kiara and, Kiara just sat there quietly, looking out the window.

"Draco, do something about her." Lucius said, pointing at Kiara.

Draco looked at his father.

"Did you actually expect her to be jumping for joy, father?" he replied, darkly. "I think, that her silence is a good thing, at his point. It may be a bit, annoying, yes, however, it would seem that her, yelling at you would be much less pleasant. Do you not agree?" Draco stated seriously, to his father.

Lucius, seemingly agreeing, with his son, turned around and said nothing else for the remainder of the trip. No one, for that matter, spoke.

They stopped, just outside Knockturn Alley. The three of them got out and continued on foot. They were greeted by Lord Voldem0rt and a handful of Death Eaters, just out side one of the shops.

Lucius and Draco went straight to their knees. Lucius kissed his ring and Draco the hem of his robe.

"Rise, dear friend and, young Malfoy, as well."

Kiara just stood there, watching.

Lucius grabbed Draco by the shoulders and backed him away from Kiara.

"Shall we go inside, my child?" Voldem0rt said to her in his calm, snake-like, voice.

She followed him into the deserted shop. Kiara waited.

"So, are you ready to stand at my side, Kiara. Or, are we still not speaking? I offer you family, your every wish I can and will, provide for you. Are you ready?"

Kiara looked into those awful, red, eyes of his. Studied that horrifying face then, she knelt on one knee and, lowered her head.

"Yes, father. Please forgive me my past indiscretions. Please, let me rule by your side. Together, we will make history." She replied.

Voldamort regarded her for a moment before he spoke.

"You have done me great injustice, in the past, Kiara. I can not, let that go, unpunished. However, if you are willing to take that punishment, with out a fight, I will gladly, except you. Are you ready?"

"Yes, father, I am ready." She knelt there waiting.

"Crucio."

Kiara yelled out in pain and dropped to the floor. It was worse than she remembered.

Draco tried to go in after her but, Lucius held him back.

"You must not interfere!"

Voldamort let up, slightly.

"Feels much worse, when it hits you directly, doesn't it, Kiara."

Then, he hit her with it again. This time, with his full force. Kiara could not even scream, all she wished to do was die, the pain was so terrible. Then, everything went black.

***********

Harry and Ron were practicing Qudditch when, Harry fell from his broom. Luckily, he had just taken off and was only a few feet from the ground. Still, he was balled up like he was in pain.

Ron flew quickly over to him. Harry sat up, he had his hand on his scare.

"What's wrong, Harry?" Ron asked, concerned.

"I, I don't know, I feel like someone hit me with a ton of bricks and, my scare hurts again. It all happened so fast --- I think, Voldem0rt found Kiara."

Harry looked very worried.

Ron looked worried, as well.

"Shouldn't we go tell some one? What if ---" Ron started then stopped.

Ron couldn't think about it. As much as he seemed to hate her, he was really very worried, after what Harry said.

"What's going on?" Ron stated, more than asked.

Harry shook his head. He thought he knew but, didn't say anything, at this time, to Ron.

"Don't worry about it, Ron. It's Kiara, she's alright. Just trust me, this time, don't worry about it."

Ron looked questionably at Harry but, decided to take his word for it.

"So, lets play." Harry said, smiling.

He would have to have a talk with his sister, when school started up again.

***********

Voldamort walked out of the shop.

"You can go see her now, Draco." He said, in a rather satisfied voice.

Then, he turned to Lucius.

"She has been properly punished, thank you for bringing her to me. She finally agreed to stand with me. I know now, this is true, for she has the strength to stop my wrath upon her but, allowed it to happen. She's finally excepted her true path." He paused a moment. "Now, I must speak with your son."

Lucius went inside, Draco was holding Kiara. A tear rolled down his cheek.

"Draco, Lord Voldamort wishes to speak with you, now. I'll look after her in your absence."

Draco, knowing he had no choice, pulled himself away from Kiara and walked out to meet Voldem0rt.

"Come, walk with me a moment, young Malfoy." Voldamort ordered.

Draco followed.

They walked a ways away from the rest.

"Draco, do you love my daughter?" Voldamort stared into his eyes.

Draco wanted to look away but, didn't dare.

"Yes, my Lord, I do." He answered, truthfully.

Voldamort turned around and they began walking back again.

"You will, marry her. After, you become one of my Death Eaters, when, you are older. You will be as my own son. You are now charged to keep her safe, as your father does me. Are you up to the challenge?"

He turned once more and looked at Draco.

Now, more than ever, Draco knew he couldn't show him the fear he felt.

"I do." Draco replied, once again looking into those awful red eyes.

When they returned to the spot were they had begun their walk, Kiara walked out of the shop. She was walking on her own, barely.

"Good, Kiara, you've awakened. Come my child and my friend Lucius. stand with us."

Kiara and Lucius went over and stood next to Voldem0rt and Draco.

"My faithful Death Eaters. Tonight we have cause to celebrate. My daughter, has finally chosen the correct path and, has, smartly, decided to join me. Tonight, we will have a sacrifice!"

After he said this, two Death Eaters stepped forward. They had between them, a struggling man, bound and gagged.

"Now, Kiara, show me. Show me your faithfulness and Kill that pathetic Muggle!"

Kiara turned and slowly walked toward the man.

"You might want to step away from him." She said to the Two Death Eaters holding the man.

They looked at Voldamort.

"Do as she says!" He said irritably.

Kiara walked up to the man, smiling warmly, almost angelic. She walked around him then grabbed his gin gently and brought his face towards hers. She removed the gag from his mouth.

"Please Miss, please." The man pleaded.

Surely someone so innocent looking as her wouldn't hurt me.  He foolishly thought.

All of a sudden, Kiara's expression changed from sweet to annoyed then dark and very evil. She jerked her hand away, the man suddenly cowered then, tried to run.

Kiara held her hand towards him. When she closed it into a fist, the man froze, unable to move. She made him turn and face her.

Draco couldn't believe what he was seeing. This wasn't, his, Kiara. She looked strange, something was wrong.

"For you father." Kiara said, in a very even tone.

She gathered her will. The wind started to blow around her. Making her cloak fly about and there seemed to be a lot of electricity in the air, all about the alley. Then, stepping forward, she released a ball of flames, smashing it into the chest of the Muggle.

The man let out a horrifying scream, right before he exploded. Burning body parts scattered the street and Death Eaters were covered in the mans blood. Kiara, was left, untouched.

Everyone stood in awe of what they had just witnessed. Then, Voldamort began to laugh.

"Come here, my daughter."

He opened his arms to her, she went to him, smiling as well. When, they embraced, there was a bright, white light that engulfed them both for only just a moment. Then, Kiara looked at Draco and, passed out again.

Draco ran over to her, he caught her before she hit the ground. Voldem0rt, took a step back from her. Draco swore he saw an apprehensive look cross the Dark Lords face but then, it was gone and replaced with his usual evil mask.

"Now, my servants, you see why, I wanted this child to join with me. With her power, which, I control, we will be unstoppable. Let the Ministry have the Giants. We've got her. Go now, do as you wish!"

Voldamort turned to Lucius and told him he would visit, one more time before Kiara went back to school. then, he dissaperated.

Draco carried her to the car and laid her head on his lap. He kept thinking to himself How could she have done that to the Muggle. It isn't like her.

He was even more worried about her now than he was when Snape first told him of what she was going to be doing.

I hadn't realized, what it would cost her.  He thought.

Chapter Nine:  Summer's End

When they arrived back at the Malfoy Manor, Draco took Kiara up to her room and put her to bed. She still had not woken up. Draco refused to leave her side so, Lucius, noting that she wasn't about to wake, any time soon, decided to have a talk with his son, right there.

"You never told me of Kiara's, unique, gifts, Draco, why?"

Lucius was a little put out at being, left in the dark, over this particular subject.

"What difference does it make, Lord Voldem0rt knew of them." Draco replied, rather annoyed at such a question and, not caring if he got in trouble for his, impetuous words.

"If, I had known, I would have found a way of getting her to meet with Lord Voldem0rt, in which she wouldn't have gotten quite so angry with me."

Draco laughed. His father was actually, a bit well, scared, of her now.

"You have absolutely no idea, do you. She wasn't angry with you about that. She understood that you had no choice in the matter. She was angry with you because, you chose to use the Crutatious curse on me because, of her father." Draco paused a moment and looked at his father then he let out a half laugh, "She was ready to punish you, for using that particular curse on me. It was all I could do to stop her. I quite literally had to sit on her, hoping, she wouldn't fling me across the room, to keep her from going after you,"

Lucius smiled, "Good thing for me, she didn't want to hurt you."

"Ya, good thing."

Draco returned his attention back to Kiara. After a long silence, Lucius asked Draco what Voldem0rt had talked to him about. Draco told his father everything he had said. When Draco had finished, Lucius turned to his son.

"I'm proud of you, Draco,"

Then he got up and left the room.

You aren't proud of me, You're just happy that I am now on Voldem0rt's good side, try again. Draco stared angrily after his father.

After a few hours, Draco realized, Kiara wasn't going to wake up for quite some time yet. So, he took off his shoes and crawled into bed with her and went to sleep.

Kiara woke up a little later and looked at Draco, sleeping next to her. He had his arm around her shoulders so she turned into him and, putting her arm around his chest, she smiled and went back to sleep.

They slept in late that morning. When they finally did wake up, it was already noon. The maid had come in, sometime earlier and straightened the room up a bit. She also, laid out some fruit, breads and some juice.

Kiara started to get out of bed but, Draco made her lay back down. He got up and put some food on a tray for the both of them then brought it over and got back in bed. Together, they ate breakfast, in bed.

They ate in silence. There were so many questions Draco wanted to ask but, only one he dared to.

"Kiara, what was that light that surrounded you and Voldamort, last night? Right before you passed out."

Kiara thought for a moment before answering.

"I'm not really sure how to explain that one but, I'll try. Here it goes... What that was, was energy, left over from me. When I touched my father, something passed between the two of us. Kinda like, something of him passed through me and something of me through him." She looked at Draco for a bit, studying him. "You want to know, how I could have done what I did to that, Muggle, last night. Don't you?" She paused then, when Draco didn't answer she told him.

"How to put this, it was him or, me or, maybe even you. Once I realized this, it wasn't so hard. The only thing that truly bothers me is the fact that, I thought I would feel bad for doing it and, I don't."

They talked for a while longer. When Draco told Kiara what Voldem0rt had told him last night, Kiara looked a bit angry.

"So, he's planning my life already, is he. Thinks he can choose who I'm going to marry and just assumes it to be alright does he, MEN!" Then, she smiled. "At least, he has as good a taste in men As I do." she said, giving Draco a kiss.

#102
A week later, it was Kiara's 16th birthday. She was fighting with herself as to rather she should send Harry a card or not. Finally she did.

I'm sure Dumbledore would approve of me sending him a card. It's our birthday, after all. I'm sure that this constitutes contacting him. She smiled as she sent the eagle out with the card attached.

Draco invited Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy out to the house for Kiara's birthday party. They showed up just after dinner, each with a gift to add to Kiara's growing pile of cards and packages.

They all went to the drawing room were, Kiara began opening the gifts. Dumbledore had sent her another pendant, this one had the Slytherin coat of arms on it.

"Promise, I wont rip this one off you, Kiara." Pansy smiled.

Kiara laughed and hugged her.

"I know you won't." Kiara winked.

Harry had sent her a card. It happened to be the same one she sent him. Kiara laughed. Crabbe and Goyle, each got her some chocolate. Pansy gave her a silver brush set and Lucius had given her a pair of ear rings and told her he'd take her shopping, tomorrow. Draco frowned when he saw the amount of packages from guys, each containing chocolates of some sort. Kiara smiled helplessly at him. When she had finally opened all her gifts, Draco gave her a tiny box.

It seemed to Draco that Kiara was taking forever to open up his gift. Kiara was talking with Pansy as she unwrapped the box. She opened it then, noticing what was in side, stopped, in mid sentence.

Pansy looked down at the contents of the package and, gasped. Then, smiling excitedly, looked back to Kiara who, sat there, stunned.

Inside the box was an engagement ring. Kiara's hand was shaking, she couldn't believe, what she was seeing.

"I know it's really early for this, Kiara but, and you don't have to answer now, will you marry me?" He took the ring from the box and slid it onto her finger.

She watched him do this then, looked up at him.

"Yes, I will."

They kissed and everyone began dumping Champaign over them. The party really got started at around ten pm and at 2 am, Mr. Malfoy had the car take the three, rather drunk, guests home.

Kiara took Draco out to her garden for a while. She wanted to see the fairies. Draco sat on the bench and watch them for a while until, he got the feeling of being watched, himself.

Draco turned towards the balcony, Lord Voldem0rt was standing there with his father. Draco went to Kiara and turned her around so that she could see.

"Happy Birthday to me" she said, softly when she saw her father standing there. "Well, I suppose I should go greet the old fart." Kiara said, peevishly.

Draco followed her up the stairwell and back into her room. When inside, Draco bowed down and kissed the hem of Voldem0rts robe.

Kiara, looking a little irritated at this, grabbed him by the shoulders and jerked him up.

Voldem0rt raised his brow at her.

"What's this? Do you not want, your, plaything, to show his proper respect to your father?" He said turning on her.

"PLAYTHING!" Kiara screamed at him.

Draco and Lucius backed away from the two.

"You will call my future husband, my, PLAYTHING! If you want him to show you some respect then, maybe, you should start to show me some." Kiara stared at her father.

Voldamort turned to Lucius and Draco.

"Leave us!"

Lucius drug Draco out of the room and closed the door.

"She is going to have to learn her place, with him. You realize that, don't you, Draco" Lucius said.

Draco said nothing.

Voldamort turned back to his daughter, sighed then, "Crucio!"

Kiara dropped. She would not, however, give him the satisfaction of hearing her scream.

Voldamort laughed.

"So, even when punished, your still insolent."

He stopped, he wasn't getting anywhere here, and he knew it. Kiara lay there for a few more minutes before standing again.

"What do I owe the pleasure of you company, father?" She asked, politely, although still, with a hint of anger.

"Awe, much better. I have brought you a present. Here."

He handed her a black, velvet choker. It had the Slytherin Coat of arms on it.

"This is, nice" She said to him.

"Look at the underneath of the Coat of Arms." He instructed.

She did and, what she found was the Dark Mark. It was shimmering. Kiara looked questionably at him.

"When you put this on, when I call forth my Death Eaters, you will know. I could not bring myself to actually brand my own daughter so, I give you this, instead."

Kiara didn't know rather to trust him or not, he told her to put the choker on. She hesitated, studying his expression, then, she put it on.

When she locked the clasp together, she felt a small shock at the back of her neck. She quickly tried to open the clasp back up but, it wouldn't budge. Kiara snapped her head up in a look of pure anger at her father.

"You didn't expect me to let you go back to that school, totally, unchecked, did you?" Voldamort smiled.

"This, will let me know were you are, at all times. With Dumbledore about, one can't be too sure how, things, might turn about. And yes, Kiara, it is quite unbreakable. If any one tries to take it off, it will kill you. I am the only one who can do it."

Kiara looked at him, first, with total anger then, with hatred.

"So, you don't trust me. What is the use of me standing with you if, you don't trust me." Kiara growled.

"I, don't trust anyone, Kiara. Let alone my own daughter who, before last week, hated the very sight of me."

Kiara relaxed, she knew she had to except this, at least, in front of him.

"Ok, father, I get your point. However, now I feel more like one of your slaves than like, your daughter but, I guess I can learn to live with it."

Voldamort smiled.

"Let the Malfoys come in again."

Kiara waved her hand and the door opened. Draco walked quickly over to her. She winked at him.

Voldamort took Lucius out in the hall then, after telling him something, Kiara could not hear, he dissaperated. Lucius left them as well and Kiara told Draco what her father had done.
