Aiden said under a tree in the forbidden forest. He wore thrashed dark colored jeans and a maroon shirt with the sleeves rolled up with some wristbands and his usual hat. It was dark out in the forest as it usually was. No one would be here in the middle of the night so the quietness was eerie at this time of night.
He leaned his head back against the truck of the tree with his arms resting on his knees. He looked up into the sky, the moon barely visible through the thick canopy of trees. The hidden moon caused the forest to be almost pitch black now. Aiden quietly sighed to himself.
((Open. Preferably his friends though.))
Matt was out in the forest walking around when he saw a boy sitting under a tree near by. He didn't want to scare him s walked up near the light where he could see him. Matt was wearing some old rugged torn jeans and a sleeveless black shirt."Hey how are you I didn't think anyone came out here this late except me," Matt told the boy"My name's Matt, what's yours?"he asked.
Aiden peered his head around to look at the newcomer. He didn't recognize the boy and he wondered what he was doing out here this late in the night.
"I'm Aiden." He replied, looking up at Matt. "What are you doing out here?"
The forest was dark and quiet, perfect for prowling. No one should be out this late, but Stacey knew different. A great snow leopard walked through the trees silently, her large paws hiting the ground with no sound. When she happened to walk through a patch of light, her claws shone in the light.
"I`m Aiden. What are youdoing out here?"
No voice could have been more familiar to Stacey. She swaggered towards the sound, her eyes intent on a tree about twenty yards from her. In leopard form, Stacey could see and hear much better. It was safer out here-- you never knew what could sneek up on you.
The cat stopped behind a rather large tree and changed into Stacey Gray. She wore long dark jeans that clung to her skin and a long-sleeved grey shirt with the sleeves pushed up to her elbows. She smiled and stayed behind the tree. She would be found soon enough.
Aiden suddenly got the feeling that they weren't alone for the forest was always so empty you could notice when someone else was around. He took a swift glance around him, having to squint his eyes in the dark. He decided a little light would be better for seeing so he flicked his wrist and a flame appeared. It was only then he noticed his wife.
"Stacey." Aiden greeted her, surprised to see her here.
((Oh, gosh. =]] Have you seen HBP yet?))
"Aiden." Stacey said, using the same tone that he had. In one swift motion she lowered herself down so she was sitting next to him. She opened her hand and she made a flame not unlike Aiden`s, but her`s was blue and hotter.
"What are you doing out here?" She asked with a smirk, repeating his question.
((Not yet, is it good?))
Aiden smiled at her, feeling warmer and not because of the flame he held in his palm. He wrapped his fingers with hers, entwining them together.
"Enjoying the scenery." He teased.
"A lot of people come out here this time of night, more than I thought." Aiden pointed out, looking at the younger boy Matt.
((Yeah, they did a good job. Strayed from the book a little, but it was overall good. What you said just REALLY reminded me of something that happened that was funny. I`m guessing you`ve read the book?))
Stacey smiled, her eyes flashing to a brilliant blue and Aiden`s hand wrapped around hers, extinguishing both flames.
"Enjoying the scenery, you say?" She asked, turning ehr heavy gaze to Matt. She nodded at him, then looked back at Aiden.
((Nope. Haven't read the book either. =P))
Aiden followed her gaze to Matt, then looked back at Stacey.
"I meant the trees." He teased.
"What are you doing out here?" He asked her, surprised she wasn't sleeping by the time it was.
((Well, pooie. Okay, well, nevermind then.))
Stacey smiled and ran her fingers through his hair.
"What, am I not allowed to be out here?" She asked teasingly. "If you want, I`ll go back inside." She started to pull away like she was going to get up.
((Sorry. I'm going to see the movie soon, though.))
Aiden quickly grabbed her wrist, not forcefully only to show her that he didn't want her to go.
"No love, I want you to be here. I'll miss you too much." He said sincerely with a smile.
((It`s okay. It`s not your fault. It`s my fault for having a majorly dorky sister-like aunt who bought you about a pound of candy and a caffinated drink. You should have seen us. Wait, maybe it would have been better if no one saw us. I`m blabbering... Just tell me when you`ve seen it. I want to know if your reaction to something was the same as mine.))
Stacey faked a sigh. "Well if you insist." She said with a grin, slipping her wrist from his hand and wrapping her arm around his waist.
((Haha. I'll be sure to tell you. ;)))
Aiden wrapped his arms around Stacey, pulling her closer to him. He almost forgot Matt was right there.
"Yay." He said with a dorky smile.
Stacey rolled her eyes, still holding onto his hand. She loved the way her fingers fit through his.
She suddenly cleared her throat, turning her gaze back towards the younger boy.
((Should we wait for him?))
((We could. Or we could be mean and leave him. I don`t think he comes on too often.))
((Uhh. Sorry Matt!

Stacey rolled her eyes, still holding onto his hand. She loved the way her fingers fit through his.
She suddenly cleared her throat, turning her gaze back towards the younger boy.
Aiden still smiled, he felt very warm and content right now.
"Want to take a walk?" He asked.
((Lol. Yeah, sorry.))
Stacey grinned and nodded. "Sure." She agreed.
She felt warmer now than she ever did beside a fire, and it wasn`t just because Aiden`s skin temperature was a little higher than hers.
Aiden stood up, and helped Stacey up as well. He looked around, and started to walk deeper into the forest.
"How was your day?" He asked her casually.
Stacey stood up and matched Aiden`s pace. They were walking deeper into the forest, not towards the school.
"Hm, my day was fine. Nothing spectacualr happened." She mused with a small smile.
Aiden looked around at the dark forest. He used his free hand to create a flame for light.
"Did you have any classes today?" He asked, still in a casual tone.
Stacey shrugged. "The usual." She said with a smirk. 'The usual' for her was usually the advanced classes.
She saw him make a small flame, but she was feeling rather lazy, so she took out her wand.
"Lumos." She whispered, and the tip of her wand lit up with an erie blue light.
Aiden looked at the light, and closed his fist which extinquished the flame. He shook his head slowly.
"Show-off." Aiden teased her lightly.
Stacey gave Aiden a look. "This is a third year thing. Yo should be abl to do this. All you have to do is say Lumos." She said, looking back to the part in from of them.
Aiden took out his wand, and put it out in front of him.
"Lumos." He said quietly. Instantly, his wand lit up and projected a bright light.
"I know how to do it, I was only messing with you." He pointed out.
Stacey hummed a note. "I`m sure you did." She teased playfully.
"So, where are you taking me?" She asked, making it sound like an accusation.
Aiden put his wand back in his pocket, and lit the flame back in his hand, prefering that to the spell.
"Nowhere actually." He said pretending to sound guilty. "Theres nowhere to go in this forest." He said the last part with a shrug of his shoulders.
Stacey laughed.
"Then why did you ask me if I wanted to go for a walk?" She asked. Her voice echoed slightly through the emptyness of he forest. The only thing there was trees, and thy didn`t absorb sound very well.
Of course, the only reason there were only just trees was because Stacey had been in the forest enough for the creatures to know that she knew what she was doing.
Aiden chuckled with a grin, and shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't know, I just wanted to spend time with you I guess." He said, looking past the trees and into the darkness that seemed to go on forever.
Stacey smiled.
"Aw, you want to spend time with little old me?" She asked, wrinkling her nose. She hooked her arm around his waist, her head leaning against his shoulder.
Aiden flipped his hair out of his eyes as the slow breeze blew by.
"Of course I would, why wouldn't I?" He inquired.
Stacey shrugged.
"I was teasing you." She explained softly, turning her head to the side and listening.
Aiden frowned at his stupidity. He looked at Stacey.
"Anywhere in particular you would like to go?" He asked, curious if she would pick something.
"Hmm." Stacey thought. "What`s today?" She asked, getting a sudden idea.
"Tuesday." He replied as he counted back the days in his head. "Why?"
Aiden slowed his steps. He took in a deep breath, filling his lungs with the fresh air which smelled like nature and trees.
Stacey thought for another moment, then stopped walking, stopping him with her.
"I`m going to take you someplace this weeking, okay? Friday night, dress up. `K?" She asked, her eyes gleaming green with mischeif.
Aiden turned his body towards Stacey to look at her.
"Dress up? Where are we going to go?" He asked, tiliting his head.
Stacey grinned.
"It`s a surprise. Do you still have that suit that my dad bought you for that Christmas party?" She asked.
Aiden nodded, and then turned his head to the side again.
"Yeah. It's that formal where we are going?"
"Hmm, formal enough. I`ll get you a new tie, though, okay?" she asked, smiling brightly.
"Don`t worry. I think you`ll enjo yourself."
Aiden raised an eyebrow, curious about what it was.
"Is it here, at Hogwarts?"
Stacey smiled and shook her head.
"Nope. It`s kind of far, actually." She hinted.
Aiden grinned, and looked at her eyes.
"Another hint?" He suggested quietly.
Stacey grinned. "Just that much. Meet me at the edge of Hogsmead on Friday night. Six. Okay?" She asked, her eyes shining emerald green.
((Remember to post in A Big Mistake in Court Room 10.))
Aiden nodded his head again, and continued to grin.
"I promise." He agreed, as he tried to guess what it could be.
Stacey beamed. She loved taking Aiden places.
"I love you, you know." She whispered, running a finger over his lips.
Aiden flashed her a brilliant grin, his perfect white teeth shining with the light from the flame.
"I love you too, you know." He replied, copying her words.
Stacey laughed and pushed Aiden with her hip.
"Copy cat." She teased.
Aiden laughed, and pulled her closer to him again.
"You copied me earlier." He teased back.
Stacey smiled.
"So," She complained. "Hey, do you want to go for a swim?" She asked, motioning back towards the school.
Aiden decided for a moment and then nodded. He suddenly picked Stacey up, and started to walk towards the school.
"Sure." He agreed with a mischevious grin.
Stacey was surprised by Aiden picking her up, and she gasped quietly. She looped her arms over his neck.
"You enjoy that, don`t you?" She asked, leaning against him as h carried her.
Aiden laughed, and carried her in the direction of the lake. Stacey wasn't heavy at all so it wasn't much trouble.
"Yes, I do very much." He replied with a large grin on his face.
"At least I know you`ll never dropped me." She pointed out. She ifted a finger and ran it over the top of his ear.
It rose goosebumps on his arms as she touched his ears.
"You can trust me with that." He agreed, kissing her quickly.
Stacey grinned and wrinkled her nose as Aiden kissed her.
"No, but you might run into a tree." She teased, pushing off of a tree.
Aiden quickly took a step back, and watched in front of him. Every few seconds he would look back at Stacey.
"Sorry about that." He said, embarrassed.
Stacey giggled and wrapped her arms around him.
"It`s okay. You`re just my klutz." She teased.
Aiden smiled, and held her tightly to him. In a matter of moments they were at the lake.
"Here we are, love." He said.
Stacey smiled. "Jump." She whispered.
"Jump, my moon."
Aiden took a deep breath, and backed up a little. Then, he started running towards the lake, and jumped right into the cold water with Stacey still in his arms.
Stacey grinned broadly as they hit the chilly water. She laughed, holding onto Aiden for dear life.
She allowed her powers of air to help lift them back to the surface.
((I saw the movie. I'm not sure what part you meant though.))
Aiden broke the surface, taking in a deep breath of hair that refreshed his lungs. He flipped his hair, splashing water everywhere.
"Is there a moment when your powers don't come in handy?" He teased with a grin.
Stacey wrinkled her nose, thinking for a moment.
"When I`m reading. When I`m eating. When I`m using the restroom?" She suggested with a large grin. She flopped out of his arms, somehow appearing gracefull in doing that.
She took a few backwards steps towards the shore so she could stand and not take in water. "Honestly, that`s just a pet trick." She said softly. Somethig flicked across her face. Something deep and powerful, something almost dangerous.
((Okay, well, near the end, when the Inferi came out of the black lake. Did you jump when the first hand grabbed Harry`s wrist? Me and my aunt were expecting it and we were airborne.))
((Hehe I wasn't scared at that part. Did you like it though?))
Aiden watched Stacey walk towards the shore.
"Pet trick?" He inquired. He now tilted his head curiously as he saw her expression.
((Yeah, I think they did a good job though. And don`t make fun of me for jumping! I was hyped up on sugar. And it`s not like I wasn`t the only one that jumped. A bunch of people did. :P ))
Stacey smiled and nodded, taking a few more steps back.
She slowly raised one hand from the dark water and lifted it above her head. She slowly closed her eyes, still grinning.
In a few seconds, the wind picked up. It pushed against her, whipping her wet hair over her shoulders. It said a lot about her balance that she was just able to stand up straight. A blanket of clouds started to appear and roll over the moon, blocking out the stars.
((Hehe I liked it too. The theatre was packed!))
Aiden sat there with a confused look on his face. He silently watched as the wind wipped around him and Stacey, it caused the waves in the water to pick up. He looked up in the sky as the clouds got heavier, and blocked out the stars.
Stacey dropped her arm in one swift movement and opened her eyes. The wind stopped and the clouds began to recede.
"That takes concentration." She said, her eyes almost white with the force of using wind and air. "A little push to get us to surface was a pet trick." She eyed Aiden carefully, watching for a reaction.
Aiden took a few steps closer to her to take her hand. The water was a little above his waist now and the waves died down.
"Are you naturally that good at magic?" He asked, his eyes shining from the moon reflecting in the water.
Stacey smiled and shrugged.
"I don`t know where it comes from. It just comes." That was the truth, more so than anything else. Her powers had been growing and expanding ever since she was fourteen, and they didn`t stop coming. First the fire, then voices, absorbing other powers, and then everything else.
He tilted his head curiously.
"Will they continue to grow?" Aiden asked, squeezing her hands softly.
Stacey shrugged again.
"Honestly, my moon, I do not know." Her eyes became slightly distant. "I`ve only heard of one other person who could absorb another`s powers, and he`s on the other side of the earth, practically. Everyone who knows thinks that it is unique."
Aiden took a step closer to his wife. He noticed her eyes growing distant.
"Are you scared?" He asked.
Stacey looked up into Aiden`s eyes, her eyes settling on her "natural" brown.
"Sometimes." She asnwered truthfully. "Sometimes I don`t think I can control them all. The same with the voices; they scare me when they try to take me."
Aiden wrapped her in a hug. His body was always a few degrees higher than hers, but he barely noticed.
"Is there anyway at all I can help?" He asked.
Stacey wrapped her arms around Aiden`s waist, resting her cheek against his damp shirt.
What could she tell him? There was no way he could help her, not in the way he wanted to.
"You`ve already helped." she whispered truthfully.
Aiden held her close to him as the small waves splashed against the slowly.
"How?" He whispered back.
Stacey smiled.
"You`ve given me hope. Trust. Love." She answered.
Aiden gently rubbed his hand over her back and shoulders.
"Is there anything else I can do?"
Stacey hummed softly.
"You have no idea how much you`ve really helped me, my moon. Trust me when I say that I would be a lot worse off without you.
Aiden closed his eyes as she hummed. It was comforting with the soft splashing of the waves along with the quietness of night.
"I love you." He said in reply.
Stacey`s smile grew.
"I love you, too, my moon." She said, pulling away from him suddenly.
Aiden dropped his hands as she let go of him.
"What do you want to do now?"
Stacey laughed and just pushed Aiden`s backwards into the water, giggling.
Aiden fell back into the water, staying under for a few moments. Then he stood up and took a breath. He ran his hand through his dark hair, making it spike up.
"That wasn't nice." He teased with a smile as his face dripped with water.
Stacey shrugged, still laughing and pushed him again, swimming away from him, waiting for him to follow.
Aiden shook his head, sending water droplets flying everywhere. Then he got up, and followed Stacey.
Stacey lifted her head above the water for a moment, getting a breath of air.
She darted back under the water, flicking her feet like a fish moved its fins.
She rolled onto her back, swimming backwards, and waved at Aiden teasingly.
Aiden chuckled, and shook his head.
"Where are you going?"
Stacey smiled at him.
"Where aren`t you going?" She challenged.
Aiden grinned, and tilted his head.
"Where aren't I going?" He asked, confused.
Stacey laughed and slowly began to circle Aiden, still on her back.
"Yes. Why are you just standing there?" She grinned, enjoying his confusion.
Aiden smiled even more as Stacey grinned.
"I'm watching you." He said with an amused smile. He lowered down in the water so that only his head shown above the waves.
Stacey raised an eyebrow. "Is that a challenge?" She asked.
She sank below the water line, smiling, before turning around and disappearing in a cloud of bubbles.
Aiden went under the water, and swam around for a few moments. He waited to come up until he found her.
A warm current wrapped itself around Aiden, noticable in the chilly waters.
It seemed to caress his cheek then melt away.
Aiden looked around, confused. He stayed under the water, trying to find Stacey. However, he thought that had been her.
A bubbling laugh sounded from somewere behind Aiden and Stacey surfaced, eyes shining and hair dripping.
"You`re no fun.' She complained as he surfaced.
Aiden lifted his head out of the water.
"How am I not?" He asked, his face dripping of water.
Stacey laughed again.
"You just stood there, silly.' she giggled, swimming towards him until she was right in front of him.
Aiden ran his hand through the water and raised an eyebrow.
"I couldn't see you." He pointed out.
He flicked a bit of water at her.
Stacey flicked some water back.
"So, you didn`t have to just sit. Or are you getting sleepy?" That would be a first; her bein wide awake when he was tired.
Aiden snorted and shook his head.
"Me, sleepy? Nooo... When have you ever seen me tired?" He said, flicking another bit at her.
Stacey crossed her arms, giving up the water fight before it started.
"No, and I`m beginning to think you don`t sleep at all." She complained.
Aiden bent down in the water again so that i was to his shoulders.
"Would that be bad?" He asked, curious.
Stacey smiled and walked a few feet closer to shore so she could sit down and not be breathing water.
"I guess not, but I feel like I`m missing something."
Aiden sat down beside her, the water going barely past his knees. He took her hand without even having to think about it.
"Missing what?" He asked, looking at Stacey.
Stacey shrugged, making a face.
"I have no idea," She said, playing with his fingers without needed to command her hand to. It had become a habit.
Aiden turned his head towards her more.
"What do you think it's about?" He asked, looking at her eyes.
Stacey looked up to meet Aiden`s eyes and just stared at them for a moment.
"What do I think what`s about what?" She asked, confued.
Aiden laughed for a moment.
"You lost me there." He said with a grin, looking at her eyes still.
Stacey smiled. "You asked me what I think it`s about. What`s it?" she asked, clairifying her question.
Aiden leaned his head back some as he remembered.
"Oh yes. I was asking what you thought the thing you were missing was about." He explained himself.
Stacey thought a moment, trying to process his question.
"What I thought about me not seeing you sleep?" She asked.
Aiden looked at Stacey again.
"You said something was missing, after I mentioned the whole sleeping thing. I asked what you thought the missing thing was." He explained again, trying not to confuse himself.
"Ah," Stacey said.
"I said I felt like I was missing something, like I was missing out on something. Make sense?" She asked.
Aiden nodded, now understanding what she meant.
"Oh. Well trust me, theres nothing to miss out on." He pointed out quietly. He listened to the waves that crashed against the shore, it was soothing.
Stacey smirked.
"What, do you snore or talk or something?" She asked, her eyes glinting hapily.
Aiden shook his head.
"Nope, don't snore. I may talk, but I wouldn't really know." He explained. "Do you ever dream of anything?"
Stacey grinned and her eyes sparkled.
"I dream about a lot of things. What kind of things are you talking about?" She asked.
Aiden shrugged his shoulders, not really sure what he meant specifically.
"I don't know. Any cool, particular dreams. I find dreams interesting." He said, looking into the sky and watching the stars.
Stacey`s smile widened, but she didn`t say anything for a moment.
"I find the time I`m awake much more interesting than the time I spend asleep." She answered finally.
Aiden thought about that for a moment, and finally nodded his head.
"Hmm. Thats a good point." He pointed out.
Stacey let out a long, happy sigh.
"I`ve been know to make good points from time to time." She teased.
Aiden grinned, and rubbed the back of his neck.
"So I've heard. Anyway, what would you like to do now?" He asked, making it up to her.
Stacey popped her knucles, frowning.
"Why must I pick?" She asked, making her eyes wide to appear innocent.
Aiden chuckled and shrugged her shoulders.
"The ladies pick." He explained.
Stacey wrinkled her nose, playing with his hand.
"Hm, well, we could go into Hogsmead. We could just walk around. I duon`t know."
Aiden nodded thoughtfully, looking down at there hands.
"Sounds nice. Which one would you like to do?"
Stacey wrinkled her nose again.
"Do I have to pick?" She asked, batting her eyelashes at him
Aiden rolled his eyes sarcastically, and squeezed her hand.
"How about Hogsmead?" He asked, looking at her eyes. She could always trick him when she did that.
Stacey grinned.
"Okay." She said, still beaming. She stood up carefully and led him towards the shore. "But we`ll have to get dried off first." She reminded, flicking her hand and a warm wind blew over them.
Aiden closed his eyes as the wind swept by. Already his clothes were almost dry, not completely, but soaking either.
"Would you like to go eat, or shop?" He suggested.
Stacey shrugged, starting to walk towards Hogsmead. They would be dry by the time they got there.
"I don`t know." she said. "I could eat, but I`m not starving." Whatever they did, she was paying.
She had to pick, she got to pay.
Aiden, too, shrugged his shoulders.
"Hmm. After we get back from Hogsmead, do you know of any Quidditch games going on soom?" He suggested.
"Not at ten o`clock at night." She teased, making the wind kick up.
Aiden grinned, and started to walk slower.
"Oh. I guess when you don't sleep, you don't keep track of time." He joked.
The wind blew around them quickly, making his dark hair stick up in random places.
"What else is there to do this late?"
Stacey shrugged again, running her finers through his hair to make it lay straight.
"Like you said, we could eat or shop."
Aiden smiled, and kept his head still as she smoothed out his wet hair.
"Both?" He suggested. He tried to think of other things there was to do at Hogsmead.
Stacey nodded.
"We can do both. What are you hungry for?" She hoped he would answer and not make her choose.
Aiden thought for a moment. He'd figured that he would choose for a little while to give her a break.
"Well, there is this one restaurant. It's kind of nice. I doubt they'l worry too much about how we dress though." He suggested.
Stacey grinned, surprised that he didn`t complain about picking.
"Hm, we can always change that, if you want. Or we can just ignore what they think and go anyway." She suggested.
It would be a bit harder for her to do that, she actucally had o heard their thoughts. They were already close enough into town that peoples` thoughts started to stream into her mind.
Aiden thought about that for a moment.
"I guess we could change." He suggested, taking out his wand which he didn't do much.
Stacey lowered his wand carefully, giving him a look.
"When was the last time you went to a Transfiguration class?" she asked, pulling him towards a dark spot between two buildings.
Aiden made a face as he began to think of the last class he went to. Since he couldn't remember, it must have been a long while.
"It's been awhile." He mumbled, following her between the buildings.
Stacey smiled, somewhere between triumph and sympathy. Aiden didn`t go to classes, normally that should have bugged her. But not with him.
"What do you want me to Transfigure your clothing to? How fancy does it need to be?" She asked taking out her dark colored wand. Her eyes shifted to brown so they wouldn`t stand out in the dark. Sometimes they were so smart.
Aiden thought about the restaurant and the people who walked into it. He knew she could read minds so it would be much easier to think about it than to explain. He thought of a picture in his mind, dark blue jeans, a button up. It would have fit, nothing to extravagant and fancy. However, not too casual either.
"Does that work?"
Stacey closed her eyes and thought for a minute. "Yes, now hold still, I don`t want to turn your arm into a coat by accident." She said, only half teasing.
She slowly waved her wand over him, watching as his clothes transformed themselves. When she finished, he was standing in dark jeans and a long sleeved, button-up shirt that would have blended into a sunny sky. She nodded, then transfigured herself.
She wore long black dress pants and a red short-sleeved top that buttoned up. The top two buttons were undone and revealed a silver necklace with small sparkly charms on it.
"Ready?" She asked.
Aiden scanned over her attire, and raised an eyebrow.
"Nice. He said with a grin.
He took her hand, and entwined his fingers with her. It was funny how their hands fit together perfectly, like a puzzle peice.
"And yes, I'm ready." Aiden replied. He figured that he would secretly find a way to pay.
Stacey grinned evily as they stepped back out onto the lit street.
"Don`t even think about it mister. We`ll be surrounded by people who an read minds, which means I will be able to."
Aiden frowned. There actually no way he could do it before Stacey reading his mind first. He would try to find a way at least.
"Come on. I picked the place." He pointed out as he led her back towards the restaurant.
Stacey shrugged, squeezing his hand as they neared the place aiden had thought of.
"Yes, but you made me pick where we went." she grinned.
They arrived at a brick one-story building. It's windows were lit with small candles, and the door was open. He walked inside and a waitor led them to a small table for two. Soft music was playing in the background.
"Yes, but I picked to go walking." He said with a smile.
She lifted a finger as she sat down.
"Yes, but you see, I picked to go swimming. You asked me what I wanted to do, I suggested Hogsmead. You asked, I said food or shopping. You said both, I said both. I picked." She relayed, grinning the whole time.
Aiden leaned his head forward.
"Ahh, but I picked that we do both." He argued as picked up the menu.
Stacey rolled her eyes, picking up her own menu. Somehow when she transfigured her clothes, make up had renewed it self on her face. It had been washed away from their little swim, but it was back now.
"Hello, what can I get you two to drink this evening?" Another waiter asked, stepping up to the table.
Stacey smiled at him. "I think I`ll have water, please." She said sweetly.
Aiden flipped his hair out of his eyes, and looked up at the new waitor.
"Make that two." He said, lifting two fingers.
As the waitor nodded and stepped away, Aiden looked at Stacey.
"What would you like to eat?"
Stacey`s eyes flickered up to Aiden, then back down.
"Hmm, I don`t know." She said, eyes running over the words and meals.
Aiden skimmed through the different entrees, looking for something that appealed to him.
"I'm going to get spagetti." He decided after a few moments. He sat his menu back down.
Stacey grinned.
"How did I know you were going to going to get spagetti?" She asked, her eyes flashing magnificently.
Aiden tilted his head to the side, and layed his hands over each other.
"You read my mind?" He guessed.
Stacey laughed.
"First, then was rhetorical question. Second, yo always get spagetti." She smiled. "I don`t need to read your mind for that."
Aiden chuckled quietly, and grinned.
"I like spagetti." He reminded her without needing to. "What are you going to get?"
Stacey glanced over the menu again.
"You know, I think I`m going to get chicken alfredo." She stated, setting her menu down.
Aiden nodded, and looked around for where their waitor went.
"Can we get one spagetti, and on chicken alfredo, please." He ordered.
The waitor nodded and left them, taking the menus with him.
Stacey turned her water with a finger, not touching it, but with her powers. The ice clinked against the side of the glass quietly as she stirred it, staring at Aiden with bright blue eyes.
Aiden watched the glass as the ice and water spun around in the cup.
"What is you're favorite memory before Hogwarts?" He asked suddenly.
Stacey`s eyes seemed to flinch and darkened for a short moment. She looked down at her glass.
"Before Hogwarts?" She asked slowly.
Aiden lifted his head and noticed her flinch.
"Yeah." He asked slowly. "If you don't mind me asking."
Stacey shook her head.
"I don`t mind."
She didn`t answer right away after that. Her eyes became distant with the ghost of memories.
"I guess that my happiest memory before Hogwarts took place when I was about nine. My parents are with me at a park, and I`m on a swing. My dad is behind me, pushing the swing, and my mom is in front of me, singing to me." Her voice was soft, but clear. She trailed off slowly, not seeing what was in front of her.
Aiden nodded thoughtfully, picturing the seen in his head.
"Does it bother you when I ask about things like that?" He asked, lifting his eyes to meet hers.
Stacey looked up to meet Aiden`s eyes again. Just looking at him made her eyes brighten again.
"Not at all. You deserve to know." She said truthfully, holding out her hand.
"If you don`t mind me asking, what was your favorite memory before Hogwarts?" She asked.
Aiden leaned his hand forward and took hers. He barely noticed how much warmer his skin was against hers. He eyes looked down as he tried to think of one. There weren't many.
"I guess it would be this one time when I was really young, me and my parents went to the beach near Lancashire. We didn't go to the beach much so I was excited. I wasn't able to go in the water because I was sick that day, but I do remember how happy I was just to be there with them." He explained, looking at his glass of water.
Stacey smiled and squeezed his hand.
"You know, we`re going to make so many more happy memories in our lifetime. We don`t have to keep looking back. Not when we have forever to look forward to."
She said softly as a waiter walked close to their table.
Aiden slowly began to grin, taking her hand again.
"I hope so. Forever sounds like a good thing now." He pointed out quietly.
Stacey smiled brightly, her eyes shining.
"I love you, you know. More than anything, anyone, I`ve ever loved before." Her eyes beamed with sincerity and love.
((I can`t help but lay it on thick right now. ;D))
((lol What do you mean?))
Aiden watched her eyes glow, his own sparkling in their own way.
"I love you too. I've always been happy with you, you know that. You've helped me in more ways than you know." He replied.
Stacey beamed at him, her eyes sparking brightly.
"Trust me, you think that I`ve helped you, but you never think about how you`ve helped me." She tried to assure.
((Oh, nothing. I was exhausted that day, and trying to hurry.))
Aiden lifted his head, and looked at her eyes.
"How so?" He asked, curious.
Stacey grinned, still stirring her water.
"Well, you may not know it because you didn`t really know me before we met, of course, but I`m a lot more open to people. I can trust people. I enjoy being around friends and, well, most of my family." She paused for a moment. "The list just goes on and on. You`ve changed me so much."
Aiden listened carefully, surprised by what she said.
"I did that? I don't see how..." He mumbled, squeezing her hand.
Stacey grinned again.
"Well, my moon, that would be a very long story, but you have changed me in ways that no one else could." She said, beaming.
Aiden tilted his head to the side, looking at her eyes.
"So have you, unlike any other. I can't even explain it."
A waiter came up, then, with two plates. He set one down in front of both of them.
Stacey thanked him and squeezed Aiden`s hand again before letting it go.
Aiden picked up his fork, and swirled a few strings of spagetti around it. He slowly took a bite, and chewed. He nodded with approval.
Stacey smiled and picked up her own fork, taking a bite of her meal.
"What are you thinking about?" She asked after a while. She could have just read his mind, but she didn`t want to.
Aiden looked up, trying to remember what he was thinking about a minute ago.
"I was thinking about how I've never been in this place before. It's nice." He replied.
Stacey grinned, chewing thoughtfully.
"You`ve never been in here before?" She asked him, tilting her head to the side.
Aiden shook his head, swallowing his food,
"No ma'am. Have you?" He asked, taking a drink.
Stacey shook her head, grinning.
"Nope. And you don`t have to call me ma`am. You`re older than me, not the other way around." She teased him.
Aiden chuckled, and sat his drink back on the table.
"I like calling you ma'am. It can be appropriate sometimes." He pointed out with a grin.
"Besides, I'm almost three years older than you, and I don't hear you calling me sir. It doesn't work like that." He teased back.
Stacey wrinkled her nose and kicked him softly from under the table.
"Well, I`m your young wife. No calling me ma`am." she said, winking at him and stuffing a bite into her mouth.
Aiden winked at her playfully, and took another bite. He chewed, swallowed, then took another drink.
"What would you like to do after this?" He asked.
Stacey shurgged.
"I don`t know. Did you have anything in mind?" She asked thoughtfully.
Aiden sat the drink back on the table, and crossed his arms across his chest.
"Not really. Let's try something we've never done before." He suggested.
Stacey smiled.
"Like what?" She asked curiously.
Aiden took another bite, and tilted his head to the side trying to think.
"I don't know...any ideas?"
Stacey smiled evily.
"Well, something we haven`t tried.... Paintballing, rock climbing, uh.... I don`t know." She shrugged, taking another bite.
Aiden smiled as she did.
"Those are fun, but what is something you've always wanted to do?" He asked.
Stacey shrugged again.
"I don`t know. I`ve already done most of what I`ve always wanted to do. The mose recent being getting married to the greatest guy I know."
Aiden smiled at his wife.
"It isn't that great." He said with a wink at her.
Stacey smirked.
"Best thing I`ve ever done." She teased, taking a last bite of her food. "So, what are we going to do?"
Aiden looked at the waitor, and lifted his hand.
"I'm not sure. You think about it, and I'll be right back." He replied, putting his hand in his pocket to reach for his money.
"Oh, noy uo don`t!" Stacey exclaimed softly. she put an air block next to Aiden so he couldn`t get out of the booth or hand thewaiter money. She smiled at him sweetly and handed the waiting waiter a couple golden coins.
((Haha. The waiting waiter. Are you still going to post im I`m Awake?))
((Oops. I forgot about that topic. Hehe.))
Aiden frowned and shook his head.
"Stacey, I told you I would pay and I would."
Stacey grinned and shrugged.
"Oh well. You can pay next time." She promised. Then she took the air block off and stood. "So what now, my moon?"
Aiden took a quick of drink, and set the glass down. He stood up, and took his wife's hand.
"Go outside, find something to do?" He suggested.
Stacey twined her fingers through his.
"Sounds good to me." She replied, leading him towards the door. It had gotten darker out, and a little colder, too, but it was still nice out. A slow moving wind had picked up and made the leaves int he trees roll against each other.
Aiden wrapped his other arm over Stacey's shoulder. It had gotten colder, and keeping himself close to her was better with keeping her warm than a blanket. His skin was always warm.
"Hmm. Where to?" Aiden asked, looking around the street.
Stacey shrugged, carefull not to make his arm fall.
"I don`t know, what sounds interesting?" she asked, pulling over towards the side so they wouldn`t be in other people`s way.
Aiden glanced to the side, looking at Stacey. He raised an eyebrow. The streets were crowed despite the later time of night.
"Honestly, anything with you sounds interesting." He pointed out.
Stacey grinned and wrinkled her nose.
"Okay, well, if you weren`t with me, where would you like to go?" She asked, staring up at him.
Aiden chuckled quietly, only vaguely aware of the large crowds of pedestrians near them.
"Vegas maybe?" He said, not really serious. "I don't know actually. I'd probably sit around, and do nothing. That is what I do for fun." He replied.
Stacey laughed.
"Do you want to go to the clearing then?" She asked, naming off the place she discovered to be fireproof. It was excellent for practicing in.
Aiden nodded, and squeezed her shoulder gently. He had alot of memories in that clearing, all of them good and all of them with Stacey.
"Sure, that sounds great." He answered. He slowly led them there.
Stacey grinned and was soon leading him through the thick trees, always towards the clearing. She had been there so many times that she knew exactly where it was and how to get there.
In minutes they were standing there, in the large and clear area. The moon and stars were high and bright in the sky. Stacey looked up at them and sighed happily.
"It`s been a while since I`ve really gotten to look at them." she said softly.
Aiden smiled as he followed Stacey's gaze to the sky. It was very nice out. The moon and stars were visible without any clouds or trees blocking the view from the clearing.
"They're amazing." He said quietly, looking at Stacey.
Stacey smiled and met Aiden`s eyes.
"Yes, you are." She said with a nod. She squeezed his hand and took a few steps forward.
"Do you want to look at the sky, or play?" She asked. This is where she and Aiden always came to play with their powers. It was perfect. Deep int he forest. No one was ever there. No one came looking for them. And it was fireproof. Stacey could produce a flame and hold it over her arm without burning herself, but Aiden couldn`t as well, and everyone made mistakes. It was surprising that the forest hadn`t been burnt down already.
Aiden smiled at her as he noticed Stacey looking at him. He squeezed her hand, and turned his head to look at the large clearing before them. The clearing always smelled of fire, something burning maybe. It wasn't unexpecting though. This where they practiced, like their own private sanctuary.
"Up to you babe." Aiden replied with a playful smile.
"I don't know why you always ask me, I never pick." He replied on a more serious note.
((I forgot about this one. Xd ))
Stacey grinned broaly, her white teeth almost glowing in the moonlight.
"I was hoping you would give me your opinion for once." She explained teasingly, bumping him gently with her hip. "And if you`re up for it, and since we`re here...." She let ehr words trailed off and lifted her free hand, making a small flame dance in her palm.
((I did too. lol))
Aiden laughed quietly, and looked at the flame that she held in her palm. He, too, flicked his wrist and held a flame in his hand. He gracefully moved it through his fingers as his eyes reflected the different colors.
"Sounds good to me." He agreed, taking a few steps back.
Stacey grinned, her eyes flickering orange like the flame. She danced backwards until she was ont he other side of the clearing, making the flame bigger as she moved until she needed two hands to hold it.
"What are you up for, my moon?" She called in a teasing tone.
Aiden watched her run back to the other side of the clearing. He stood still, watching the flame in her palms. He, however, kept the fire in his hand small and easy to handle.
"How about just practice for now?" He answered across the clearing.
Stacey smiled again and nodded.
"And what would you like to practice?" She asked, her eyes locked on his. As she spoke, the ball of fire turned into a floating stream, winding it`s way around her. It lowered so that it was about knee high, but it rippled and moved much like water.
Stacey`s eyes were the same electrical shade of orange as the fire that she produced. It gave her a slightly odd look.
Aiden took a step back, positioning himself for some practice. He thought for a moment, and lifted both of his hands in front of him. He took a deep breath, and channeled his energy to his palms. Instantly, a flame appeared int he form of a large sphere. He rotated it over him so he was inside of it.
"You tell me." He said with a grin.
Stacey grinned wickedly.
"Okay. You asked for it." She said, just loud enough for him to hear.
The stream of fire suddenly turned into a river and was rushing towards Aiden. It spiralled towards him until it was just feet from him, then it split and went around him.
Aiden smiled even more as he pushed his arms out farther. He bent his head down as the water spilt around him, not touching the flame sphere protecting him. He lifted his arms up, and made the flame hotter and larger.
Suddenly, the flame exploded, emitting large spirals of heat. They flew towards Stacey with colors as blue, green, red-orange. It looked like fireworks in the night.
Stacey concentrated of the bright specks of fire. She whacked her hands together with a clap, and the specks flew to the sides, disappearing into nothingness. She flicked her hands into the air and a great wave of fire rose above her. She lowered her hands and the wave of heat rushed towards Aiden.
Aiden quickly put his arm up protectively in front of him, blocking the heat with a large wall of energy. He looked up, surprised that had actually worked. He grinned with satisfaction.
Aiden lifted his arms up again, opening his palms and shot out two large bolts of green flames towards Stacey. He then pushed his arms out farther, making the bolts fly faster.
Stacey grinned and pushed her left hand towards the ground, letting pure energy flow her her palm. The green flames bent downwards and hit the ground as lightening. The ground shook in prostest, but Stacey made a flicking motion with her hands and a clap of thunder sounded.
She flung her right hand towards Aiden and a roll of wind rushed towards him.
The gust of wind spiralled towards Aiden, hitting him directly in the chest. He flew backwards, and landed on the ground with a loud thump! However, he wasn't going to admit failure so he stood up once again. He shook his head to clear his mind as his knee started bleeding through his jeans.
Aiden blinked a few times, and took a few breaths as he positioned himself again. He pushed his arms out, and snapped his palms open. Instantly, a large ball of blue, green, and red flame shot towards Stacey. He swirled his and around, causing the flame to spin and spiral faster.
((Why is his knee bleeding if he fell backwards? Lol.))
As Aiden fell, Stacey`s hands fell to her sides. She took a step forward as he stood, her eyes locked on his knee. She didn`t pay attention to the flames that he shot towards her, and it was her turn to fall backwards.
She yelped softly with surprise, and roled backwards, landing on her feet after somersaulting. She wrinkled her nose and smiled to let Aiden know that she was perfectly fine. Grass and dirt stains marked her jeans, and she had a shallow scratch on her arm. With a flick of her fingers, a great ball of hot flames spiraled towards Aiden, circling him and coming at him from the back.
((Ahh scraped it I guess. lol))
Aiden fell down down, this time foreward from the flames. The fire chared his shirt a little, but he wasn't worried about that. He slowly got back up, and balled his hands into a tight fist.
Aiden took a few steps forward, his eyes dark as his teeth ground together. He opened his right hand, revealing a dark red flame. Then, he opened the other one, revealing a green-blue flame. Aiden held his hands out to the sides, and clapped them together. Then, instantly, a large fire-ball shot towards Stacey.
Stacey moved her left foot back as the dark flames shot towards her. She flicked her fingers against each other and the fire dissolved with a loud sizzling noise. She moved her hands as if she were conducting music. A golden thread-like light was streaming from her hands, then suddenly the golden light exploded into a thousand threads.
The threads shot upwards into the sky, above the trees, then spirraled back down, right at Aiden.
Aiden looked up to the sky, his eyes getting wide for a moment until he quickly thought of a solution in his head. He quickly got down on one knee, his hurt one in fact, and faced his palms upward. With a few twitched of his fingers, a blue ring hovered above him, reflecting the many golden lights away.
Aiden then quickly stood up, and stepped one foot out with a stomp on the ground. The ground shook around both of them, and a wave of fire arrupted behind him and spiralled towards Stacey at a quick speed.
Stacey fell to her knees and pounded her fists on the ground. Then she quickly stood up and clapped her hands above her head.
A jet of water erupted from the ground and hit the fire Aiden made, setting it out. She spun around and pushed her arms towards her husband and a heavy stream of water shot towards him.
Aiden took a few brisk steps back, pushing his arms out protectively in front of him. A barrier between him and the water set up from the ground. It was of fire so when the water it, the flames were hot enough to evaporate the streams completely into nothingness.
Aiden then took a deep breath, and closed his eyes. He set his jaw, and gently rubbed the palms of his hands together. High above them, a large orb of dark purple, almost black fire levitated above them. He kept it still for a few seconds, letting the flames gracefully sway back and forth until he slapped his hands down. The large orb suddenly dropped down towards Stacey.
Aiden kept his eyes closed, but the edges of his lips curved in a half smile.
Stacey smiled as she watched Aiden make the dark orb. She saw him close his eyes, but lifted her hand toward the orb. It gave out a hiss before disappearing. She took a few steps forward.
"Tired, my moon?" She called softly. She didn`t want him to exhaust his powers. That could have some bad side-effects. She would know.
Aiden opened his eyes as he felt the orb disappear. He frowned, and sighed quietly to himself. He turned to look at Stacey with a shake of his head.
"I'm fine. You?" He asked. His arms actually did feel sore and his knee was bleeing but otherwise he was fine.
Stacey smiled and finished walking towards Aiden.
"I`m fine." She replied, running her hand over the scratch on her arm. It disappeared as she did so. She leaned forward and put her hand close to Aiden`s knee, and it promptly stopped bleeding.
"Better?" She asked.
Aiden looked down at his leg. The blood stains were still on his jeans, but overall it felt better even if it didn't hurt too much in the first place. He looked up at Stacey with a dark glow in his eyes.
"Much better." He thanked her, grabbing his wife's hand.
"I didn't hurt you did I?"
Stacey smiled and squeezed his hand.
"I`m fine." She repeated, her eyes flashing back towards a blue.
Aiden smiled at Stacey, his teeth shining with the light of the sun.
"Did I do better?" He asked, suddenly sounding like a small child.
Stacey smiled again, her white teeth almost glowing in the soft sunlight.
"Yes, you did a really nice job." She said, leaning forward to kiss his cheek quickly. "Lots better." She grinned.
Aiden grinned with pride and squeezed Stacey's shoulder gently.
"Well, like ive said before...you're a really good teacher." He explained.
Stacey shrugged.
"All I did was attack you." She explained. "Classes don`t do that, they just tell you how to do it, but if you learn this way, then you actually learn." She said quickly.
She tilted her head. "But you`ve improved."
