Harry Potter Fan Fiction / New FanFic Poll
January 3, 2005, 04:13:42 PM
Alright, I am going to write a story, and I have three ideas. These are: A love story, another day in Hogwarts and an itresting lesson.

Now, I would personally want to write the love story the most, but I would just like to see if you guys like the idea. So, I have set up this poll for you guys to vote.

VOTE QUICK, because the results of the poll will be gathered exactly THREE (3) days from the time it was set up, meaning that:

Start time: GMT 8:08 AM, Monday, January 3 2005.
End time: GMT 8:08 AM, Thursday, January 6, 2005.

After this three days, the poll would be locked, meaning that you would no longer be able to vote, and I will begin writing my fanfic.

Harry Potter Books / Rate the books
January 1, 2005, 08:16:03 PM
Alright, guys. This thread is for you to post your comments about any HP book or movie. However, the only restriction about your comments is that they have to be short, and that'll mean it's shorter than or equal to 20 words, like this:

"I thought Enid Blyton was the best author in the world until I read Harry Potter." (That's 16 words)

Harry Potter Fan Fiction / The Death Eater's Revolt
December 15, 2004, 08:45:12 AM
ALRIGHT! ANOTHER FAN FIC!
Before we begin, I would like to say a few words.

Ahem.
This idea was supplied by our dear friend Tweetie, so many thanks to Tweetie.  ;D Also, I would like to add that this fanfic is a sequel to my previous fanfic, "The Final Showdown".

Thank you very much, Tweetie!

Harry Potter News and Rumours / Her name
December 3, 2004, 09:28:49 AM
I read in local newspaper some time ago that in her HP books, JK called herself "JK Rowling" as opposed to "Joanne Rowling" because she was afraid boys wouldn't want to read her books!  ;D

Harry Potter Fan Fiction / ***The Final Showdown***
November 29, 2004, 08:28:25 AM
*Whee... My first bit of fan fiction! Well, this has no continuation from any book at all. Oh, BTW, I hardly log on, so you guys gotta wait a bit for the next parts*

BTW, this is my style: I'll write a little in a post, I'll do many posts, so just in case something happens and I have to stop, I wouldn't lose so much data.

Enough talk, here goes!

Harry Potter Books / SOMEONE ELSE IS GOING TO DIE!!!
November 10, 2004, 04:11:01 PM
For those who bypass the HPF homepage and log in to the forums straight, (Like I ususally do), you would miss a piece of news, which says:

08 Oct 2004
JK Rowling has revealed she has killed off another character in her latest Harry Potter book. The best-selling author shocked readers by killing off a character in her previous book The Order Of The Phoenix. Now she tells fans on her website that another character is to go in the sixth book, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince. Rowling was asked: "Are you going to kill off any more characters?" She replied: "Yes, sorry." The 39-year-old author has not revealed who it is - but assured readers it is not Harry. The young schoolboy wizard survives until the seventh and final book, but Rowling is coy about whether he reaches adulthood. Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince is due to be published next year.

OMFG! Who do you think is gonna die?
For me?
Uncle Vernon, Snape or Dumbledore, in the order of my priority.

October 27, 2004, 02:51:50 PM
My friend has attempted to register into HPFF, but his mailboxes are faulty. Two new members, patronus91 and <something else>91 belong to him. He has asked me to give you permission to remove those two users, being unable to do it himself. Admin, please give me a hand, thanks.

Harry Potter Movies / The Scar can walk
October 25, 2004, 03:49:33 PM
My friend is a mad fan of Harry Potter and he has watched POA tons of times (according to him, he has watched 30 over times, rich man, eh?). He noticed that during the ride on Buckbeak, Harry's scar showed up on the other side of his head. Whether or not that is true, we still have to wait till next month when the VCDs come out to be sure.

Harry Potter Books / Harry's OWL Results
October 14, 2004, 10:37:01 AM
What do you think Harry's results would be like? If you ask me, I'll say:

Charms: E
Potions: A
Defence Against the Dark Arts: O
Divination: P
Transfiguration: E
Astronomy: A (Because he was distracted by Hagrid)
History Of Magic: A
Care of Magical Creatures: E

Looks like that's all. (Did I miss anything?)

What do you guys think?

Gryffindor / What is... RP
October 6, 2004, 08:57:10 AM
Well, I dunno if this qualify to be an RP...
*Anyway, we are all sitting in a circle in front of the lovely Gryffindor fire, playing an 'Ask a question' game.*
*Somebody would ask a question and somebody else would answer. First one to answer gets a point.*
*I shall start off.*

0612: What is "RP"?

Harry Potter Books / Another Little Clash
September 29, 2004, 02:51:58 PM
Ok, I'm not trying to be a pesimist or something like that, but, being a Chinese, I have spotted something really wrong.
In the third Book, it was mentioned that on the first of every Lunar month, Lupin would transform. Being a Chinese, I know some stuff about Lunar calendars and I can tell you that on Lunar calenders, the full moon is on the fifteenth, not the first.

General / DVD-R or DVD+R?
August 21, 2004, 10:16:06 AM
I know this has nothing to do with Harry Potter, but I kinda need this urgently, so please help.
What's the difference between a DVD-R and a DVD+R?

Harry Potter Books / A Nice Little Clash
August 16, 2004, 04:56:53 PM
Having read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets recently, I discovered this little clash of information. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it's mentioned that prefects cannot dock points. (When Malfoy tries to dock points from Gryffindor because Hermione was cheeky about umbridge), yet in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Percy docked points off Gryffindor when he found Harry, Ron and Hermione in Myrtle's bathroom. Is there a clash, or was it because Percy was Head Boy? (Note: I have forgotten whether Percy was head boy at that point of time. Also, when I speak of the titles, I am referring to the books unless otherwise stated.)
