Title: "A Million Wishes"~ a story of Draco's Daughter
Post by: __Ms.Evans__ on March 13, 2009, 06:47:29 AM
I just thought I'd make a new fan fic. I dont care if the series is over... it'll live on!! lol okay sooo here it goes.. oh and btw, i thought i'd make draco at least a LITTLE nicer.. teehee. if thats okay with u..:

I threw myself on a nearby bench and stared at the huge mass of travelers that hurried towards every direction. This train station was rather packed in the fall. I could pick out a few familiar faces from my school, but they were so busy, saying good-bye to their family's, I didn't even bother speaking to them. I grabbed my backpack and pulled out a book I had found at a nearby library an hour before. The cover was a light shade of perrywinkle and had a picture of a colorful star on it. I glimpsed at the title and the author. It was called, "A Million Wishes", by Hermione Granger. Why did i recognize that name? I stared at the book for a little bit before I realized my father was standing beside me. I shoved the book back into my backpack, threw it over my shoulder and stood up to face my dad. He looked around at the rushing people and then down at me. He grinned a little. "Here's your breakfast." He handed me a bag that smelled like a freashly baked cinnimon bun.
I looked up at him and groaned. "Dad.. you know I don't like this kind of stuff."
He smirked, "Well, that's all I could think of. Sorry Lia. But, hey. There'll be food on the train. You know that. I mean, it's horrible compared to your mother's food, but you'll live." I sighed.
I looked up at my father's face and my neck cracked. He towered over me and I was mostly used to the piercing pain in my neck. My dad swiped his had up to touch my face. He laughed when I frowned.-- I didn't really enjoy public affection. My dad loved to show off his daughter to the world. He always said that I look just like him, with my pale blonde hair, and my dark blue eyes.-- I turned away from my father and grabbed my green and gold trunk. My dad said, "Oh come on. You can"t stay mad at me forever."
I sat back on the bench, holding everything I had in one hand and my other hand was clenched into a fist. I was so aggrivated with my dad, I almost didn't realize that a large group of red-headed kids in my school and a few normal wizards walked by. I stared at the group, then looked at a tall red-headed man that glared at my father. I didn't dare look at my father's face. He hated that man. That's what I knew for sure. But I didn't quite know who he was. Then there was a woman who clentched hands with one of the red-headed kids. I assumed it was his wife. Also there were a couple following their kids towards platform 9 3/4. My dad hated that family with a passion and I didn't dare to ask why. I just continued wondering silently in my mind for years, and for some strange reason, I had a feeling I was going to figure out this year.
That is when I stood up and followed the family. My dad resisted for a moment, but then followed.

teehee thanks!! okayy...^^btw: please dont mind my spelling... ^_~

My father walked behind me as I pulled my baggae towards a large brick column. He eventually laid off the fact that the strange family was here and began to remind me about everything we had talked about hours before. "-make sure to behave and have fun. I didn't send you to that school for no reason you know..." I sighed and grinned a little. He then assured me that my busy, work-aholic mother would be home for the holidays. I loved my mum to death, but honestly, she was so busy that sometimes I forgot she even existed. When I was little, everytime I wanted her to play with me, I'd go into her office and from behind her huge desk, she'd throw me a smile and say, "Next time, dearest. Mummy's working." Now that I'm 12, she decided it was best she worked away from home.. My dad is a little nervous about that.. I recall him saying a few days before, "They're out there. Who knows what Potter is capable of? Sooner or later he'll take over the Ministry and then what?!" I wasn't sure what my father meant, but now, when I get to Hogwarts, I'll be researching at the first chance I get.
I hugged my dad, waved farewell, and followed a red-haired boy onto the train that'd bring me to my getaway, my school, my life. I got on the first near-empty compartment, put my bag on the shelf above my seat and waved towards my dad out the window. Then, I noticed a man was speaking to him with a serious face. He had dark hair and he wore round glasses. He had a semi-tall woman standing beside him, staring at my dad with a frown. I realized it was one of the strange men my father didn't like. I turned my head to look at my dad's face and he looked faintly confused and annoyed. He turned to look at my window and the dark-haired man followed his gaze. My father smiled and waved at me. I swiped the concerned look off of my face and waved back. The strange man looked at my dad, and then me again and grinned a little. He moved his mouth and looked as though he almost congratulated him. For what? I didn't know...-- Suddenly the horn of the train sounded and it frightened me so much I fell into my seat, afraid I might fall over. I looked out the window one last time and realized how 'apart' my father looked from the other student's parents. He wore all black that showed off his pale hair even more. Everyone else wore either colorful muggle clothes or colorful robes. He didn't pay attention to anyone else in the station and kept both of his crystal blue eyes on my window. I didn't nessicarily think he was looking at me. I think he was looking blankly at nothing, probably thinking. His face wore a curious expression until the train began to move. He then, focused on me and waved good-bye one last time before my getaway slowly pulled out of the station.

to be continued-- sorry i g2g for now... be back later to right more

okay soo where was I?... oh yes:

The ride on the train seemed endless. I could've written a book about my entire life if I hadn't fallen asleep. In my compartment where two girls I knew from the previous year. The both sat on one side while I had the other to myself. For the first half-hour, we talked about our summers.. well actually they talked mostly while I nodded. Eventually I seperated from their conversation, laid my head against the window and dosed off into my own thoughts. All of a sudden, everything went black, and I was out like a light. My freind, Melony shook me awake when we arrived at Hogwarts. I rubbed my eyes and stretched a little bit before glimpsing out the window. It was dark out and all could see was the sillouettes of the students leaving the train.. I smiled reassuringly. "I'm home..." I whispered to myself.

sorry!^^ just been really busy!>>

I grabbed my backpack and almost left the compartment before I realized the strange book was lying down on my seat. I snatched it and quickly walked out of the compartment. Melony and my other friend, Jake, followed me off of the train into a small station in which many students crowded. Jake, who I hadn't talked to in months, was close behind me. He almost spoke for the first time in what it seemed like forever, but before he could, the sound of the train's horn filled the foggy air. He frowned for a few moments but soon got over it and kept walking. Melony followed Jake with a nonstop, grinning face. I led the two to the carridge that would bring us up to Hogwarts.
When we got in the carridge and everyone and everything was a lot quieter, I finally had a chance to really look at my friends. They hadn't really changed much except Jake was probably 4 inches taller than last year--growth spurt no doubt..
Jake was a tall, light-haired, quiet boy with a good sense of humor. His hair was slightly curly on the ends and he had thoughtful, crystal blue eyes. Jake was kind-hearted and always looked on the positive side of things although, still to this day, he always wondered why exactly he was put into the Slytheren house.
Melony's dark brown hair seemed to grow about 5 more inches and it hung a few inches above her elbows. Her smile was bright and glowing. She was so beautiful, which always made me wonder, 'Why on earth does she enjoy being my friend?' Her dark brown eyes shimmered with excitement and happyness as though it was her first year at Hogwarts. Actually it wasn't. It was our third year. Yes. I was 12 and I was a third year. I would be turning thirteen in a few days.
Jake was the first of us to speak, "Great to see you again Lia.." He smiled warmly and stared directly into my eyes. I just sat there, staring at his blue eyes, entranced by their beauty until I finally realized-- 'if I'm looking directly into his eyes, then he must be looking at my eyes.. wait why does he look confused? Oh right! It's because I'm staring at him!' I shook my head out of the trance and quivered a little. Then I said, smiling,"Oh yeah. It's great to see you again." I turned to look at Melony, "You too." At that moment, Melony's smile grew until it was as big as her school badge.

lol oh thanks.. mabye if I get the chance, I'll probably lean the plot out of Harry Potter because.. it'd probably be illegal, and then I could publish it. haha but i wont go THAT far.. Oh so what do you think of my characters so far? Should I do some more detailing on what they look like or should I let your imagination decide on what they look like...?

i have a pretty good imagination.

Ha ha okay. Imagination it is..

The giant, moving staircases that filled the humongous room that lead us to different floors seemed to have moved a lot slower than last year.. either that or my patience is beginning to run out much quicker. It was so exciting to see everything and everyone again. I couldn't help but smile as wide as Melony.
We went up to the common rooms first, to put our luggage away. Melony, as usual, insisted on giving me the bunk by the window. She was so kindhearted.. The green curtains made the room seem more dark and almost unspacious, just how I liked it. I set my bag on my bed and stood still, to observe the room. It was comfy and inviting, so I was sure things would be okay. I'm not to sure how I knew it, but I did. I sat on my bed.
I then, went through my small backpack, and noticed a small bag of chocolates. I hadn't seen them ever in my life, but I popped one into my mouth anyways. What's the most it could do? Then pulled out the strange book. I evaluated it absentmindedly as my friend sat beside me. Melony's face went confused. " 'A Million Wishes?' Why does that sound so familiar? ...Oh my...Do you know how valuable that book is?"
I looked up at Melony, even more confused than her. "What? It's just a book.. It looked intresting so I grabbed it before I got on the train." She grabbed the book out of my hand and flipped through the pages.
"This is by Hermione Granger. THE Hermione Granger. Do you know who she is?" Melony asked me widened. I shook my head. Just then, one of the other Slytheryn girls popped her head into the room. She was small and her brown hair covered most of her face. Her small image didn't make her tiny voice shocking.
"Um.. It's time for dinner..", she whispered.
Melony put the book on the table beside my bed. She grabbed my arm and pulled me up off of my bed. She spoke quietly, "I'll explain later.. Let's not ruin the night. " My face grew blank. What did she mean by RUIN? What was going on?
As we got to the common room Melony said, "Don't worry.." Out of nowhere, Jake was standing inches away from us and he said, "About what?" I didn't answer, still in shock. His usual smile turned worried."Lia, are you okay? I think.." He and Melony tried to hold me up as I fell to the floor. Everything went dark.

I suppose so.... oh well.. it doesn't matter to me..^^

As I opened my eyes, a small streak of light hit my face. I was in a bed. It was extremely quiet in the room, but I could tell that there were more people than just me. I looked over to my right and saw Jake smiling hopefully at me. Beside him was Melony, sleeping against him. He shook her awake, but so gently, I think she would've stayed asleep. Something was strange. Something was wrong with this picture. As Melony began to awaken, Jake reached over to hug me, moving his mouth, but no noise came from it. It was then when I began to panic.
I couldn't hear a bloody thing! Now that I thought about it, the room was ENTIRELY quiet. I looked at Melony and she could tell something was wrong. She pulled Jake back into his seat beside my bed, her eyes glued on me. She began to move her mouth as my eyes began to water. I didn't know what was happening and I needed to know. I scooted over and sat up, facing my back to my friends. I shakily, stood up and called something, I didn't know what exactly. My head shook with pain and worry as Madam Pomfrey scurried into the room. She looked a little more calm than Melony. She moved over to me and sat me down on my bed. She glanced over at my friends and began to speak. I looked back at them to see what their input was.
Jake's usual, calm, kind, confident face was now shocked, worried, and maybe even frightened. Melony sat still, not moving her eyes off of me. She grabbed Jake's arm and pulled him up off of his chair. I looked questioningly at Madam Pomfrey and back at them. Just then, the two hurried out of the room.
Madam Pomfrey turned my head towards her. She pulled a small, green bottle out from her pocket and gestured for me to drink it. So I did. The taste wasn't too bad considering I was starving and the rest of my body was in pain. Almost immediately, the sound came back. I could hear Madam Pomfrey murmuring to herself about how awful the person who gave me that chocolate were. I stared at her and spoke softly, "No one GAVE me that chocolate. It was in my bag." She looked at me relived because I was talking again, but then she seemed curious.
"Oh. Well, dear. That's even worse. A sly criminal put it there. Surely, you didn't take a bag of '' to school. Yes, it may sound tempting, but those buggers do some of the strangest things to you. You passed out,--unconscious for a day, might I add--, you talked in your sleep about some purple daffodils.--"
I cut in," A-actually, I talk in my sleep all the time.."
She smiled a little, "Well, seeing as you're alright, I'll let you go by noon. But first, get some rest." She touched my face, stood up and walked back into her small office.
I laid my head down onto my pillow first. When I did, I began to wonder about what Melony had said minutes before. She was rather odd. Minutes later, I fell into a deep, calm, sleep.

??? idk... lol well.. i have some free time so I'll try my best.^^

I awoke just around 12:30, feeling refreshed and renewed. Madam Pomfrey came into the room just as I sat up. She smiled at me and told me I could leave. So I did just that. I got dressed and ran into the loud, student-crowded hallway. I assumed it was time for us to switch classes.
I stood still, thinking about which class I had, when my eyes flickered over to my right. About 10 feet away, Jake stood against a pillar, holding a small, purple flower. My heart began to race as he looked around for someone. Was he looking for me? A short brown-haired girl strode towards him, her head, just below his shoulder. She blushed and smiled as he handed her the flower. I glanced at his face and he was-- angry? His eyes were narrowed, his mouth was pinched up, almost as if he was going to scream.
I almost walked towards him, but before I did, a tall, slender woman stepped in front of me. I looked up at her and realized it was the head-mistress, Professor McGonagall. I smiled and she smiled back. She said,"Hello, Ms. Malfoy. How are you feeling?"
I replyed kindly,"I'm doing a lot better thanks."
She shifted on her feet a little and said, "Well, I'm assuming you are wondering what exactly happened to you." I nodded and she continued, "A fellow student of yours, thought it was funny to put some--"
"Oh that.. yes I know. It's okay. I'm alright. The only thing I'd like to know is, what class am I going to right now?" I interupted.
She smirked and replyed softly, "I believe you should know that by now Ms. Malfoy.. it's Saterday. You don't have classes today."
I laughed, thanked her, and she walked away swiftly. I looked over towards the pillar Jake was standing by and noticed he was still there. His head was bowed low, so that I could only see his bangs covering his eyes. I slowly walked towards him, cautiously.
Once I was a foot away I spoke. "Who was that?" His head snapped up and he grabbed my arm.
"Lia, you're alright." He pulled me into a strong, yet gental hug. I stood completely still, blushing and confused. Seconds later he pushed me away from him, and his head fell back down."I'm sorry. That was wrong of me. How are you?"
I tried to see his eyes, but I eventually gave up. I sat against the wall and pulled my knees close to my face. "I'm alright." He nodded.
He fell gently to the floor and sat beside me. "Look.. I just get really worked up when this kind of stuff happens."
"It's fine. I'm kinda happy you were worried about me." I grinned at him. He looked over at me and smiled, relieved. I put my head on his shoulder and sighed. Then I closed my eyes. Minutes passed and we still just sat there in peaceful silence.
"So who was that little girl?"I asked at last, my head remained on his shoulder.
He laughed a little. "That was my little cousin. She made me promise to get her a flower for her birthday.."
   I flinched, "B-birthday? Wait a minute. What's today?"
He pulled away from me to look at me. "The seventh. Why?"
"Because today is MY birthday..." I murmered.
His eyes widened and he shoved his hand into his pocket. A few seconds later, he pulled out a lavender flower and put it in my hair. He grinned, "Happy Birthday Lia."

thank you!!!!!!

mmhm.^^ k so.. lets get back to my whole bday situation:

My eye's widened as Jake pulled out the flower. It wasn't much, but it really symbolized something. He slipped it gently behind my ear and I could feel the heat rush to my face. I smiled and touched it lightly. He leaned towards me and just then, he pecked a small kiss onto my forehead. I stared at him.
He smiled, blushing. "What? You want more?" I laughed as he kissed my cheek and then my nose. After a few moments of that, I was standing and he was sitting. He was looking up at me, grinning playfully. I smiled a little and he stood up. He touched my face and then kissed me gently on the lips.
Everything in the world seemed to brighten up. It felt as though every worry broke away from me.
I held his hand tightly as we walked down the corridor. It was awkwardly silent then. But the silence broke when I was pummeled by Melony. She hugged me tightly and said, "Happy Birthday Lia!" I let go of Jake's hand as I was embraced by my best friend.
Melony let go of me soon after and handed me a small, blue box. I lifted the cover and inside was a bracelet. It was silver and baby blue and the charm on it read, "Lia". It was so pretty. I thanked her excitedly and latched it onto my wrist. We all were smiling. I hugged Melony again, then I hugged Jake. He was so warm, and protective. He had a sweet, peach scent to him, and I loved being so close to him. We swayed for almost half a minute, completely forgeting Melony was there.
When I finally remembered about her, I turned towards her. She was smiling at us approvingly and she nodded at me. I smiled and she turned and strode away slowly. Apparently Jake had his eyes closed because he didn't realize Melony's absence. I looked up at him, his arms still around me and spoke softly,"Thank you." He smiled and repeated,"Happy Birthday Lia."

LUCKY! I would of wished for that! Though it would be a bad fire if the fire crossed the road made the gas station explode right after school was let out! But it didn't, though many kids went over near the golf course, well as near as the police would let them. They had to close down a highway until it was out. I got a peek of the fire from standing on a large boulder at Boston Pizza. The fire smelled like a campfire.

That's bizar..=o oh okkay i think i got something.. how about this?

A few weeks have past since my birthday. Mostly everything has gone great. My grades have been acceptable, my love life and my social life is great. The only thing that's been bugging me is that book. Melony seems to ignore me when I bring it up. Even Jake looks away. Something is going on and I have vowed to myself that I will find out.~~

I sat down at a small table in the corner of the library, the large, light blue book in my left hand. I looked around and then stuck my head into the book. The author looked oddly familiar. Inside was a picture of Hermione, her husband, and her children. I realized those children were the Weasley's, Rose and Hubert. Rose was in my grade and Hubert was a 5th year. I smiled faintly at the happy family.
Then I froze, the smile wiped off my face. That man beside the author was the man my father hates. The one he glared at constanly when he's around. I glimpsed down at the caption and read:
From the left,  Hermione, Ronald, Rosemary, and Hubert Weasley.

'So apparently Hermione left her writing name the same as her maiden name,' I thought to myself. On the next page, she had written: To Ron, Harry, Ginny, Neville, and everyone who's taught me the difference between friends and best friends. I laid the book down and looked up at the window to my right. A bunch of questions ran through my mind. My head started spinning as I stood up. I almost fell over as Jake caught me. I stood limply, leaning on him and then I ran. I picked up my book and ran into the corridor. I wanted some answers. I streaked down the grand staircases, skipping four stairs at a time. When I got to the large door to get out onto the school grounds I stopped. Was I doing the right thing? Yes.
I swung the door open and ran literally into the person I was looking for. He caught me just as I almost fell to the floor and said, "Woah there. Are you alright Ms. Malfoy?" I looked up as the tall, dark haired man stood me upright. He had dark brown eyes and he wore a long dark green cloak. I shrugged and then spoke.
"Er.. Yes. I'm okay. Professor Longbottom? I have a few questions for you." I spoke quickly, nervous about what my Herbology teacher would say.
He frowned a little, somewhat confused and then grinned. "Alright. But first, I have to run an errand to the headmistress. Why don't you come with me? Maybe you can ask me on the way." I nodded and walked with him down into the large, Great Hall.

to be continued.

okay thanks.^^ btw.. sorry i havn't been on in a while..

The Great Hall was practically empty accept for some students lounging at a nearby table to my left. A few of them looked at me, almost glaring, so I gripped onto the book tighter. Professor Longbottom just waved as we walked by and a few of the girls blushed and waved back. My Herbology teacher was quite handsome and most of the girls in our school swooned over him. I smirked at the girls and continued on.
Professor McGonagall sat at the very end of the Hall, in a large chair behind the table in which the proffesors ate at. She had a book in front of her and she seemed quite occupied in it. When we got close, she looked up, almost thankfully. Professor Longbottom pulled a small, baige envelope and laid it quickly onto her book. She smiled, opened it, and read it.
A few minutes passed as we stood there in front of her in silence. When she was finished reading, she handed the paper back to Professor Longbottom. She spoke, "Well Neville, thank you for informing me. I'll go up to my office and write to him at once." The tall, dark, handsome man nodded, and then gestured me to follow him.
I waved at McGonagall and scurried after him. He moved quickly, although I'm sure he didn't mean to. He walked outside and towards the greenhouses. As we entered his office he smiled and waved a hand towards a nearby chair. I sat and then spoke.
       "Your name is Neville right?"
He laughed and nodded,"Yes. Why do you ask?"
I continued,"Do you know Hermione Granger?"
He looked at me curiously,"And again, Yes. What do you want to know about Hermione?"
I smiled and said," I knew it! I want to know everything. Who is Ron? Who's Harry? Or Ginny? What was she to you?"
Longbottom swung his hand forward and said, "Woah there! Wait a second.. how do you know so much about my friends and why do you want to know?"
I shrugged a little and replied, "Well the thing is.. I think I know something I shouldn't. You see.. My father really hates Ron. But I don't know why.. Does he hate you too?"
Neville smirked, "You have no idea... Let's just say he DISLIKED me.. Oh and Harry.. Harry is actually coming here. I know I shouldn't give out such information but, since you are so interested in him.. He is going to be your new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." He smiled giddily and I smiled too. He said he had to go, but if I had anymore questions, to ask him, Harry, or the headmistress.
Ten minutes later, I was walking with Melody and Jake out on the school grounds. That's when I told them everything I learned. Jake frowned and said, "Are you sure it's a good idea to get into this?"
I frowned and thought to myself for a moment, and then replied,"I don't really know.."

to be continued...^^

YAY!!!!!!!!!!

omg i forgot to name the first chapter!! ill call it.. Chapter One: To Decend from Home and To Arrive at Home

Chapter Two: I Play With Fire Balls

If I could find a way to transport myself a thousand miles away from that place, I would've. It is unbelieveable how weird people can make you feel. In my last class, a student from the Gryffindor house told me something I will never forget. But for some reason, it sort of hurt me to realize he was right. This is sort of how it all went.

Professor Longbottom was late so all of us chatted as we waited for his arrival. A red-head student in a different house was staring at me. Why? I didn't know. I was a little confused, so I turned towards Melony to pretend to listen to her. Melony was quite the talker when she wanted to be. I felt as though the boy was burning a hole in my shoulder. I turned around and to a peak at him.
He stood up and walked up to me. I stared at him and eventually said," Hi?"
The boy managed to look at my face and speak," um.. Hi. I'm Hugo Weasley.. You probably don't know me, because our dad's.. well umm.. anyways.." He trailed off.
Hugo looked down at his shoes and shuffled one of his feet in place, " I.. I recieved a letter today.. It was from the Ministry. It said that.. It said you're father is in prison and that I was to tell you straight away.. I.. I don't know why they told ME to do it.. well yes I do... But I don't really want to tell you.."
I stared at him in confusion as he spoke, and when he said that my dad was in Azkaban, I closed my eyes.
Hugo continued," They told me.. that I was to look after you.. sortof.. I dont know.. My family is taking you in for the time being.. umm.. Are.. are you okay?"
I continued closing my eyes, 'What the hell had I just heard??! My dad is in PRISON and I have to stay with some freakshow red headed kid I don't even know??' ugh..
Hugo stayed silent until I answered him, "Umm.. yea. yeah I'm okay.. thanks for telling me Hugo."
He smiled a little, obviously pleased with himself. I sighed a little, frowning as Professor Longbottom scurried into the classroom.  "I'm so sorry guys! Hagrid lost his- nevermind. So.. uhh. today we'll be working with..."
The entire time, I was out of it, thinking to myself what was going on. I was going to be staying with the Weasley's over winter break. Wait. What about my mum? Oh of course.. she busy on the other side of the world, taking care of god knows what...  What did my father even DO!?.. this was not going to be easy...

Jake hugged me closely after I told him what had happened. "I'm here for you Lia.. You know I am.. But the Weasleys?! Have you even heard about them?"
I looked at him confused, "no. What about them?"
Melony jumped out of nowhere and interupted," The Weasleys have a reputation of heros. Their mum is Hermione and their dad is Ronald. You probably heard about them and Harry Potter. You know.. they saved our world!"
I stared. I had no idea what they were talking about.. and I didn't care. I pulled away from Jake, grabbed my bag, and strode away without a word. All I knew is all the names Melony had mentioned sounded so familiar.. I was sure I would find out something when I went to live with the Weasleys.. only 1 more week and I'd be there.

YAY!!!!!!!!! It's awesome as ever!

lol thanks..  ::) im so excited for the 6th movie. 2 more days~!! teehee. okayyy.. i think ill start this part right here..

For the past week, I had been mostly resting whenever I could. I was exhausted. We had just taken very important tests, and before them, I had stayed up until 3 every night, studying my butt off. I'm sure I would've stayed up all night, but Melony was worried about my health. She repeatedly reminded me how bad not getting enough sleep was, and eventually forced me to lay down my books and go to sleep.
Not only Melony was worried about me. Jake was always around me during the day, looking almost hurt. It concerned me so much that I pulled him aside in the hallway and did just this.
I took hold of his hand just as we left Potions Class. We went down a few corridors and I tugged him over to a pillar to our right. His expression was emotional, sort of like he had been holding a lot in and he was about to shout it all out within a few moments.  I was the first to speak though.
"What's wrong?" I said, peering up into his slightly closed, sky blue eyes.
He shook his head, not saying a word. Jake wasn't nessicarilly the type of guy who could say exactly how he felt. I completely respected that, for I couldn't do it either. So I decided to make things easier and guess what was bugging him.
"Is it my... father? Are you worried about my safety?" I asked him, lowering my gazed to his mouth. It was twitching. He shrugged. That was Jake for "yes". But there was more. I longed to comfort him, but I needed to guess more.
"Do you feel uncomfortable about having me live with Hugo and his family?" I wasn't sure if I should've asked that. It could've offended him, making me sound like I thought he was jealous. I didn't mean for it to sound that way, and I was relieved when Jake nodded. He didn't seem to notice my mistake.
I hugged him tightly, "Aw... I'll be okay. I'm a strong girl. Besides, it's only for a week."
He finally spoke," I know... but I don't... Why can't you stay with my family? They love you Lia. And so do I."
I kissed him on the cheek and assured him, "I'll be fine."
       "You promise?"
       I smiled,"I promise."

I flopped onto my bed, exhausted, but feeling accomplished. I had finally finished packing my winter clothes into my trunk. Amoung those clothes were my christmas gifts from my friends. Melony gave me a knitted green scarf, lined with silver shiney yarn. Jake gave me a heart locket necklace with a picture of him, Melony, and I in a grouop hug. Every time I saw the necklace, I'd look in it and smile. I also packed the "A Million Wishes" book. Maybe I could learn more about it.
Tomarrow I'd be leaving for the Weasley's with Hugo and his sister, Rose. I just hoped I was right when I told Jake I'd be fine.

teehee! ;D
oh i got some new stuff id like to write.

I couldn't say how much I wanted to talk to or see my dad. I was so worried and curious to know why he had been sent to Azkaban. I tried some researching through the Daily Prophet but there was nothing. I wanted to know why I couldn't be sent to see my mother or why on EARTH I had to stay with the Weasley's. I suppose there was nothing I could do but grin and bear it.
Usually I would've gotten off the Hogwart's Express to find my father, excitedly waiting for me. This time, I followed Hugo off the train and to a small group of people. I didn't really pay attention to them, for most of the time I stared downward at Hugo's feet, covering my face with my long blonde hair. I didn't want to be the center of attention but considering I was going to be the guest at these people's house, I was bound to get some sort of welcoming. As Hugo stopped and greeted his family, I stood behind him, avoiding making eye contact. But my attempt to hide didn't get me far. A hand gently grasped my shoulder.
I looked up to see a brown-eyed woman with long, curley hair. She was smiling at me.
"Hello there," the woman said. "You must be Annalia. I'm Hermione Weasley. You're going to be staying with my family and I for the winter break?"
I nodded at her. Hugo came up to us and embarrasingly hugged Hermione. I assumed this was his mother. I familiar girl from Griffindor stood beside me and said,"So this is the Malfoy girl, aye?"
A man walked over to us and smirked,"Yes. She looks an aweful lot like her dad huh Hermione?"
The friendly woman slapped his arm with her purse and muttered something about manners. I gawked. This man was the red-headed man my father was glaring at. He didn't seem as welcoming as his family. I moved over behind Hugo a little bit. There was a long silence then.
Hermione spoke next," Excuse him.. This is my husband, Ron. My daughter, Rose," she nodded to the teenager beside me," is a 6th year at your school... oh and I assume you know Hugo."
I blushed a little and turned to my right. Apparently I had been so nervous about his family, I was practically squished against him. I quickly stepped away from him and nodded.
Ron snorted,"You're not a big talker aye?"
I glared at him, "I can talk. I just..."
Hugo frowned at his father, " She's just nervous."
I looked at Hugo. He was blushing, obviously as shocked as I was that he stood up for me. I smiled a little. Ron didn't seem very nice at first, and he seemed to have a dry sense of humor.
"Aw. Well it's okay. We won't bite." he said smiling.
"Much," Rose added. Ron and his daughter laughed while Hugo and Hermione stayed silent.
I took hold of my trunk and turned away. I didn't want to hear this. I had only spent 2 minutes with these people and I already wanted to leave. Hermione took hold of my arm and frowned.
"Please ignore those two... they dont mean wrong. They're just... Ron and your father didn't have the best past.. I...." she stuttered.
I shook my head and sighed, "It's okay... I suppose I didn't help much."
She placed her arm over my shoulders, smiled a little, and walked me back over to her family.

It is completely up to my readers. I will give you a summary of my new version and YOU can decide what you'd like to hear. Please reply with Old plot or New Plot and give your reasons. I say I liked the old plot, because the new plot I just can't seem to understand.

Okay. since that one didnt work out, ill just work off the old plot :) since ive been gone for months, i've been able to collect some new ideas.

The moment I walked into the Weasley's home, with Hugo following me, carrying my trunk, I realized these were definatly some very different people. Although the house was large, it was not very spacious. Pictures lined every wall, and their dining room had a table almost as large as one that you'd see in the Great Hall. There were a few odd objects in their living room. Hermione told me that her parents are muggles and had given her their old china set, vase, piano, and coffee table. I just smiled, shrugged my shoulders, and continued walking towards the staircase that lead upstairs to the bedrooms. Hugo brought me up to the guest room and laid down my trunk on my bed. The small room was perfect for me, which made me feel a bit more comfortable.
After this, I was called downstairs into the kitchen where Hermione asked me to help with dinner. I didnt mind. It'd help me get my mind off of things. As I peeled some potatoes, Hermione mentioned to me that although she loved magic, she didn't think that it was nessicary to use it all of the time. Therefore, we'd be making dinner the muggle way. I frowned at that. These were wizards, and yet they prefered to do everything the more inconvienient way? That was odd.
Although I wasn't too sure about the Weasley's I found a liking to Hermione, and I noticed that the reason behind this was that she was actually doing her job by being a mother... something that my mother never was. She was never around to talk to me, or make dinner with me.. No, Hermione mademy mum look like a terrible mother. I sort of envied her for that. I didn't know why dad stayed with her... At this thought, I looked down at my badly peeled potatoes and back at Hermione. Then I asked," How do you know my dad?"
She stopped chopping up carrots and frowned. She seemed to have been thinking of the best reply. After this she sighed, "Your father went to school with us but, didn't like my husband and I."
I pursed my lips and replied, "Then why the hell am I here?"
Hermione smiled at me and said, "Well, your Draco trusts us to take care of you while he's .. away."
"In Azkaban.." I said, slightly ashamed of my father.
"Yes... But not for the reasons you think," the woman replied, reasuringly.
"Why is he there?" I asked her, impatiently.
Hermione sighed that she couldn't tell me the reasons at the moment. I sort of wanted to cry at that moment, but Hugo and Rose walked in and offered to help their mum. I stayed silent the rest of the night.
During dinner, I patiently listened to Hugo and Rose tell their parents about their school years so far. After this, when I was offered dessert, I denied it, thanked them, and went to my room. It was a quiet winter night, and despite my efforts to listen through my door to hear the family's thoughts of me, I just went to my bed, laid down, and shut my eyes. The sooner I fell asleep, the sooner this 'vacation' would be over.

:)

The next morning, I slept in. That is, of course, before Rose woke me up and told me it was time for breakfast. I lazily took my time, getting dressed and putting my hair up into a limp, long, blonde pony tail. I glimpsed out the window and noticed how peaceful it was outside. Due to the Weasley's house being far away from other civilization, their house seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. There was a field a few hundred yards long surrounded the home, and after this, there was the forest. Every inch of ground, and plants, and grass was covered in a foot of snow. It was so bright and sparkley outside, that all of my stress drifted away from me. I was so serene until Hugo knocked on the door. I opened it nonchillantly and muttered "Hello" to him.
"Mum made eggs. Do you like them?" He blushed and smiled widely.
I shrugged, and followed him downstairs. Hermione had decorated the house with the most festive things. There were wreaths on almost every door, and scented candles on almost every table. Holly hung on many walls and the fireplace was decorated with ornaments and tincle. The fireplace contained the most quiet fire I had ever seen. It was beautiful at the same time. There was a Christmas Tree in the corner of teh living room, decorated with more festive things than the house itself. Presents sat under the tree.
Hermione smiled at me when I walked in the kitchen, hugging lightly hugging myself because of the peace I was feeling. I greeted her, and she gave me a plate with eggs on them. I chowed down and then offered to shovel outside, since they liked to do things the "muggle" way. She said that her husband was at work, and he didn't get to do it so thanked me and Hugo then offered to help me. Things were starting to be okay for me. But I seriously kept reminding myself about my father. And this brought my spirits down a bit... After I shoveled the driveway and had a quick snowball fight with Hugo I decided to go up to my room and read some of "A Million Wishes". I looked at the picture when I opened the cover of the book. I automatically threw down the book and ran downstairs to talk to Hermione.
