Christine walked down the empty hallway to her apartment. She had bought it in the muggle world almost right after her graduation from Hogwarts. She lived on the top floor, and had the biggest apartment in the complex, if you don't count the owner.
She stuck her key in the lock and jiggled it a few times, letting her keychains ring like bells against each other, before she pushed open the door. Breathing in the fresh air from her open windows, she called the familiar words, *Honey, Zoey, Buddy, Kiwi, Rosco, Raven, Dory, Nemo, Sunshine, Lightning, I'm home!* Soon two dogs, two cats, two birds, and two hamsters had come scurrying to her. She petted each one, putting the birds and hamsters of the table so they wouldn't get stepped on. She walked over to the fish bowl and muttered, *I didn't forget about you guys!* The two fish swam to th edge of the glass in happiness.
Christine closed the door and went to fill up the watering can. She watered all of her plants, most of them tropically colored, and then sat down on the couch, with the animals crowded around her. One bird on each shoulder, the hamsters on her lap, the dogs on her right and the cats on her left. She turned on the T.V. and watched the news.
Christine had been living in the same apartment for about four years. She had enough money to buy her own house, and yet chose not to. She worked at the zoo as a marine biologist. She took care of the dolphins mainly, and most other water-dwelling creatures too. Everyday she rode her bike to work with her scuba gear and what-not strapped onto the back.
She had aquired the rights to have pets in the apartment due to her work as assistent manager of the complex. Christine had many friends in the complex, most of whom were having trouble paying the rent. Her best friend was about to get evicted 2 years ago, when Christine volunteered to help pay her rent. She soon was helping nearly everyone in the building.
Christine turned and looked at the white board. On it was everyone's names who owed her money. She let them pay it in their own time, however. Quietly she muttered, *Gina owes me $400? Well that's about a full month of rent I suppose.... I don't really remember loaning her the money, but she's honest, and should be able to pay me back within the month.*

The writing itself is good. I can see you easily making an action story. Perhaps add action like harrypotterfan:) suggested? You could more then likely pull that off.
Hehe.... sorry about the asterisks Ginny.... I'm just to used to using them! And I wasn't going for an action story... I was going for a love story, but her man could be taken away by some evil guy!
Christine walked into the complex manager's office. He was talking with someone at the moment, so she sat in a chair by the wall.
"I'm sorry Sir, there's nothing we can do! There just aren't any available apartments!" The manager was saying.
"There has to be something! Don't try to tell me that after looking in every reasonably priced apartment building that no one has anything open!" Said the man.
"That is not what I'm saying! All I'm telling you is that there's no room in this building."
The man sat back heavily into his chair. He had dark brown hair and bright green eyes. He was young, mid-twenties to thirties, but at that moment, he looked like he had just passed through a lifetime. "But where can I go? I can't afford the condos... or a house for myself. What can I do?" He asked.
"I'm sorry there's nothing we can--" The manager was cut short as Christine stood up.
"I'm sorry for interupting George, but I have a very large loft, and I do have a guest bedroom. He could stay with me until something opens up." She said. Christine was good friends with the manager and used his first name often. George was also only 31, just a few years older than her own 28.
"Well, I suppose. As long as you don't mind Christine." George answered somewhat baffled by her generous offer.
"I don't mind at all! Is it O.K. with you then sir?" She asked the man.
"You would.... do that for me? Oh it's perfectly fine with me! I'd be honored!"
"Then I'll show you to your room so that you can get settled in before we have to work out paperwork."
The man grabbed his two suitcases, and followed her up the stairs. After a while he said, "Oh, and by the way... I'm Chase."
So is Chase her man?? hehe
......wow by the way I'm Chase.....no I want this story to be funny as well!!lol okay.....and Sirius you know just call me Faith 'cause harrypotterfan:) sounds so weird o.O

Lol ok, thanks.... but I'm at Mira's house and we talked for like 30 min about how the story should go, and then at the end we couldn't remember what the first thing was!
"I'll just give you a quick tour of the house, and then a quick dinner and then I'm going to bed." Christine was saying as she unlocked the door.
"I already ate, so I don't need the dinner, but thanks anyways." Chase said, leaning against his suitcase. When Christine opened the door, his eyes widened in shock.
Christine turned to look at Chase, and saw the expression on his face. She laughed and said, "Oh, I guess I forgot to mention my pets..."
"Oh... yeah, uhm..... I guess you did." Chase stuttered.
"Don't worry about them, they're harmless, and at night they sleep in my room." Christine said. She then preceded to show him the apartment. "I'm making spagghetti, so if you want some just tell me!" She said, setting water to boil.
"If you insist...." Chase said, smiling as he sat on the couch.
"Well I do!" Christine laughed. They ate a nice dinner and made small talk, before Christine went looking for blankets within the depths of her closet. She found a few and gave them to Chase, so he could arrange them to his liking. Then she went into her bedroom to change into her pajamas. "Oh, you can change in the bathroom." She said, poking her head out, before she closed the door.
Christine walked around the apartment and turned off the lights. Chase had already gone to bed, and she could hear him snoring softly. She went into her room and laid down as the animals settled in around her. "Did I do the right thing guys?" She whispered to her pets. "He seems nice, but I've got a stranger in my apartment, and I don't know if I can sleep tonight..." She said trailing off as her dogs, Rosco and Raven pressed closer to her. "Thanks guys, I needed that" She muttered, already half-asleep.

OK sorry guys... I can't write until Sunday, but I'll try to have a ton of parts done by then so that I can post a lot before I have to leave for 2 weeks.

PART FOUR
(Time lapse 1 month)
A month had passed since Chase had arrived, and he was well settled in.
"OK.... so it's Rosco and Raven, Nemo and Dory, Sunny and Lightning, and... Honey and Zoey?" Case said hesitantly as he sat on the couch with all of Christine's pets gathered around him. The birds squacked angrily, and Chase said, "Sorry! I couldn't see you two from here! It's Buddy and Kiwi right?" As the birds tweeted their approval, the door opened and Christine came in. Chase jumped up from the couch and went to help her carry her things.
"Oh hey Chase! What are you doing here? I thought you had job interviews!" Christine said surprised, and slightly out of breath.
"Well the later one was canceled, so I made dinner." He stepped aside to reveal a table set for two. "I just need to grab something off of the grill real quick!" He said, already halfway across the room.
As they finished their dinner, Christine sat back in her chair and exhaled loudly. "Wow Chase! Thank you so much! Everything was delicious..." She said, looking at her empty plate before standing and saying, "Well I should probably do the dishes."
"No no! I made the mess, so I'll do them. Besides, you do them every other night!" Chase said, standing as well.
"Are you sure because I've done them so much that--" She stopped as Chase raised his eyebrows at her. "OK good point..." She said, defeated by his simple move. "I think I'll go to bed soon... well after I watch the news..." She muttered more to herself than Chase.
"I'll watch with you. The dishes can wait."
They sat on the couch, with the animals around them. Chase put his arm around Christine and she soon fell asleep with her head on his shoulder. He lifted her easily to her bed due to her small frame and his muscular build. All of the animals went into Christine's room and he closed the door behind them. He then went to the sink to do the dishes alone.
Sorry guys, I can't post 5 & 6 tonight because I have to go to bed (early morning!). I'll try to post it tomorrow morning, but I doubt it... Again, I'm really sorry!

"You really didn't need to do that!" Christine said as she had breakfast with Chase.
"And what was my other option?" Chase replied laughing. "I couldn't have left you there! Where would I have gone?"
"Well, you know you didn't really need to go anywhere." Christine responded quietly, looking at her plate.
Her answer took Chase by surprise as he stuttered in response, "Actually, I uhm... had thought of... of that, but I.... wasn't sure you would approve!"
"Oh I see! My apologies! You wanted my approval!" Christine laughed.
"Precisely my point! I needed approval, and I couldn't get it while you were asleep!"
"Well... thank you for being a gentleman, but now you have my approval." She muttered quietly leaning forward over the small table. Chase leaned forward too, and as Christine closed her eyes, so did he. Time seemed to be moving slowly and perfectly. All was silent and soon they were close enough to feel each others hot breath. Then the phone rang, breaking the silence like a train wreck. They both stayed put, willing the person on the other line to hang up.
As the phone rang again, Christine whispered, "I should get that." She sat still for another moment and let it ring a third time before getting up and to answer it.
Chase laid his arms on the table and folded his hands together. He let his head droop as he listened to Christine's conversation.
"Hello?" She said, answering the phone. She covered the end of the receiver and said, "It's for you." She sat down as he took the phone from her.
"This is Chase." He said, pausing as the other person spoke. "No, no of course it is... yes of course...how soon?...oh! Wow uhm... no that's great... yes perfectly...OK. Bye." He hung up the phone and placed it in it's charger. Christine looked at him with anxious eyes as he said, "That was George. He said there is an opening. I'm moving out within the week."
oh my gosh thats so like dramatic! I got a little creeped out on the part where like: they could feel eachothers hot breath. It would have been better for me if it didn't say HOT breath... that was a little... but otherwise great! intense, suspensful and sad too!
OK well it's very rare that people have COLD breath during these.... times, but thank you!
