Aiden was wearing his black jeans with a band t-shirt and his usual studded bracelet and belt. Alone he sat on the forest floor. In his hand he held a rock which he slowly kept heating up in his hand with fire. He was in deep thought, confused. Aiden stared up at the dark sky and it's shining stars. Alot was on his mind, and he needed time to think. It was overwhelming. His eyes were darker than usual, almost a black color. He felt alone.

Lavy had been walking through the forest for hours now. It was a subtle peaceful inside of it. It didn't have the sounds of students practicing spells or talking or yelling...none of that. It was animals in here. The chirp of the birds, the movement of the wolves and deer. The sound of the wind passing through the leaves.
It was nice to be alone. Not completely alone, but alone enough to hear her own thoughts and think through them. Quiet enough to hear her own heart beat in her chest and and the soft squish of mud under her feet. She turned the corner and saw Aidan sitting on the leaves and grass, he seemed to be thinking sbout something important so she sat down and watched him, waiting for him to turn towards her. She was in no rush.
Aiden still sat there. It was still quiet but he could tell someone was around. He glanced around slowly and saw Lavy. He looked around and saw that she was just sitting there alone. "Hey..." Aiden said quietly, but loud enough for her to hear him. "What are doing here?" he asked.
"Enjoying the quiet of the forest. Working in the school all day can really fry your nerves and wear your patience down."
Lavy pulled hear hair out of the ponytail that it had been in, "I come out here sometimes to let my hair down, if you'll accuse the pun. Out here it's just you and nature, really. Nature isn't nearly as frustrating as eleven year olds who think they are the coolest people who walked the earth."
Aiden nodded. "It is. Its very beautiful here at night too" he agreed. He looked at her "What year are you?" Aiden asked.
"Well in the books I'm down as a sixth year but I don't actually go to class at all. I left the school before I finished my sixth year and learned more things then the teachers here could ever teach me. But, I have this uncanny ability to attached trouble and so I came back here. Mostly for protection."
Aiden nodded once more, understanding. "Oh, I see. I'm a seventh year, but I didn't come to Hogwarts until a little later." Aiden informed Lavy. He blinked. "Does Hogwarts still protect you? Or do you still attract trouble?"
"The worst kind of trouble. But I'm still alive so I guess I would have to say they have down their job so far. Although I don't think any of the teacher would approve of me wondering around the forest at night, alone."
Aiden thought for a moment, he stood up and leaned against a tree. "Well, your not the only one who isn't supposed to be out. So I guess you won't get in too much trouble since I'm out here too." He pointed out.
Lavy smiled, "Good, someone to take some heat...." She fell silent for a moment before she spoke again, "So we know why I'm out here. Why are you?"
Aiden smiled a moment before it fell. "Just thinking" he answered.
Lavy pretended like she hadn't notice that his smile was gone, "Well, don't yourself, sweetheart. If you give yourself brain damage I can't help you."
Aiden tried to lighten his mood. "Aw thats to bad. I was on a roll. Giving myself brain damage is fun" he said with a small smile. He walked over to Lavy and sat down so he wouldn't have to talk so loudly.
"Sorry, I'm just no good with fixing that kind of stuff." She shrugged, "So....." Lavy thought about what she could say to not upset him again, "How are classes?"
She almost slapped herself for starting small talk. She hated small talk.
Aiden tilted his head to the side, she seemed almost frustrated about something. He blinked before he spoke "They're okay. I try avoid going to them as much as possible though." Aiden looked at her "And you?"
"Those rare times I actually show up? Hate them, unless we're actually leanring something, which is more rare then me going to class. I really prefer teaching, which is also rare since the Ministry doesn't think that a sixteen year old should be teaching at Hogwarts."
"Age shouldn't matter. Its the ability that should." Aiden said to her. He lied his hands in his lap and leaned back. "Sometimes what the Ministry says seems like rubbish to me..." His deep voice muttered quietly.
Lavy tossed her head back and laughed, "You and the rest of the world. But I don't really blame them. The Ministry and I....well we don't really have the most pleasent of histories."
Aiden smiled as Lavy laughed. "I don't exactly blame you. In my opinion, the Ministry hates everyone who don't do whatever they d**n well wish..." he pointed out.
"If we had some sort of liquor I would drink to that. But sometimes that hate runs a little deeper if you've burned them. And God knows that I've given then a few third degree burns."

"Well, its nice that somone agrees with me" Aiden said quietly with a short smile. He sighed and leaned back again.

Bucky was in the forest angry about the stupid fight he and Aiden had that day and had not noticed Aiden or Lavy I should apoligise Bucky thought.
Lavy nodded, "So I have a question for you."
Aiden looked at Lavy. "For me?" He added. "Okay, go ahead." Aiden looked around as he thought he heard someone else. He looked back at Lavy.
"Why are you really out here in the middle of the night? And don't just say thinking. What are you thinking about?"
Aiden looked at her and frowned, but tried not to let her see it. "Well, I actually was just thinking. However, what about is more complicated than that." He answered quietly.
Again Lavy pretended like she hadn't noticed his expression, "I figured as much. Do you think I could help if you told me?"
Aiden thought for a moment. He layed his hands beside him on the ground. "I don't think so. Thank you though. Its only past things I need to forget and new things I can't control" He said with an anxious expression on his face.
"I see.....well are you talking to someone about it?"
Aiden blinked "No. Not really" He replied. Aiden scraped his foot over the ground with his heel.
Lavy watched his foot for a moment, "I think maybe you should. It always takes away stress when you know there is someone out there who knows what's going on. Gives you a chance to let it all out. I know it sounds silly and a little clique but it really does make you feel better."
Aiden stood up and walked a few steps before he stopped and put both of his hands in his pockets. "I'm not really used to expressing what I feel. Unless its overwhelming. My family never cared so I always kept it inside me." Aiden said quietly, barely loud enough for Lavy to hear.
"Well it's only a suggestion, so you don't have to tell anyone. But I would really suggest it. I spent five years of my life trying to bottle it up and it poisoned every relationship I ever had. I'm still trying to fix what I ruined."
Aiden sighed slightly as he thought. "Well, I'll be okay for now. If I never need someone to talk to, you'll be the first one I'll be looking for." He said as he winked at her. "Thank you anyway."
"Ok. Thank's for considering it anyways." Lavy smiled, "So back to the fun. Do you want to play a game?"
Aiden looked at Lavy and smiled a little too. "A game? Like what?" he asked, interested.
"Well, since I just met you I guess strip poker is out of the question," She joked, "So I think we should play a little magic game I learned to make me stronger. We see how many things we can make with an element. For example, once I played this with Ginny. She used fire and I used water..."
Aiden pretended to look upset and rubbed his chin in thought. "Well... thats too bad strip poker is out of the question..." He said as he smiled again. "But that magic game sounds like it could be fun"
"Maybe in a few weeks we can play poker." Lavy stood up and brushed off her pants, "It is. Can you control an element, would be my first question."
"Fire" Aiden replied. He immediatly rubbed his fingertips together on his left hand then opened his palm. A flame appeared. "And you?"
" I somehow came out being able to use them all. But my strongest is water. I'm pretty good at electricity as well though."
Aiden nodded. "Thats pretty good. So, what do we do?" he asked.
"Well I'll start....." Lavy stepped back a few steps and held out her hand. A few inches above her hand a small droplet of water appeared there. It started to grow and a fast speed, soon reaching the size a watermelon and that's when it started to take a shape.
At first it didn't look like much but then it started more and more like an elephant until it was about two times the size of a real one. Before Aidan had a chance to stop it the water elephant charged forward and right into him, soaking him to the bone.
Aiden fell back and landed on his side. He turned so he was laying on his back. He wiped his face off. "Wow...what the?" Aiden looked at her "So we just attack each other?" He asked with an amused smile.
Lavy ran over to him, "I'm sorry, I thought you were going to block it. It wasn't suppose to get close enough to get you wet...." She looked him over. She tilted her head to the side and thought for a moment before she snapped her fingers.
A huge gust of wind came racing though the trees and surrounded him. Within a minute the warm breeze and completely dried his cloths, "Better?"
Bucky heard the commosion and saw Aiden he ran strait in the middle of there game to apolligise and got burnt to the bone.
Aiden was completely dry. "Its alright. Thanks" he said. He hadn't even noticed Bucky yet. He looked at Lavy as he was about to stand up.
She held out her hand so that he could grab it, "But that's all it is really. We try to think of different shapes for the element we control and see how close we can get to each other."
Aiden held her hand and stood up. "Thanks" he said then he let go. "Sounds like fun. Warn me next time you attack me though" Aiden said, smiling a little.
Lavy laughed, "That would defeat the purpose of the game. You have to be able to predict when I', going to attack."
Aiden shrugged. "Okay. Well, want to start now?" he asked.
"Whenever your ready."
Aiden nodded. He walked back a few paces and watched to see what Lavy would do.
Again she held her hand out and the water started to take shape. It took only a few second before it took the shape of the lion. It walked around her in the circle, looking at him. Everystep left another wet paw print.
Aiden watched the lion with interest. He closed his hand and held it tightly until he slowly opened it again. A flame appeared. He shot a ball of fire at the lion, missing it as planned.
The loin stopped right in front of her and the water molecules seemed to shiver, showing the aggression that the lion was feeling.
"You didn't make him very happy, you know," Lavy said and she pointed at Aidan. The lion began to creep forward, it's transparent eyes watching his every move.
"Well, I figured he was going to hurt me anyway" Aiden said as he stood his ground. He got another flame ready for the lion's next move. He kept watch out of the corner of his eye for Lavy.
The lion leaned back onto it's hinds leg, preparing to spring forward.
She laughed, "He won't hurt you. But he will get you all wet again. He's made of water." She shook her head, "But....say he was made of fire..." She snapped her finger and the light blue color of the lion was changed into a fiery red. Even from a distance the heat could be felt.
Aiden looked at the lion. "Well, I don't plan on getting wet again..." he said as a drop of water dripped from his dark hair. He shot a gust of flame at the lion. The flame missed the lion and caught the ground in front of him on fire, just as Aiden had hoped. A flame circle caught around the lion.
The lion began to turn in a circle as if it was chasing it's tail until it once again became clear but not in the form of water. The lion became nothing but wind. Wind that looked like a small twister and once the fire around it was blown out the wind began to slow. The lion was back as fire again. It took a few more steps towards him.
"You're going to have to do it nit better then that."
Aiden thought for a moment. All he knew how to control was fire. "Don't worry. I can" he said as he thought of a solution. Aiden swept his hands in front of himself back and forth until a flame tail appeared. He pushed his arms out and the flame went towards Lavy. Aiden pulled back, trying his best to try not to hit her, only distract her.
Her eyes did stray. She wasn't scared at all. She knew that he would hit her. Which was a mistake.
"The point is to make to stronger. Don't try and protect me. I will attack you so don't think I won't. Don't hold back you're power because you think you're going to hurt me." The lion jumped forward right on top of Aiden.
It wasn't hot though. Anyone watching would be waiting for screaming. But the fire wasn't hot. In fact it was at a nice cool temperate of about 60 degrees. I lion sat on his chest for a moment before it disappeared. Lavy was already standing next to him.
"I guess I should tell you that it's less of a game and more for training . Ginny would do it with me when I first came here. She wouldn't hold back to much because she knew I couldn't fight her back to much. She was trying to get me better and controlling my power and being able to modify it any way I wanted."
Aiden sat on the ground, soaked again but not as much as before. "Well, water doesn't burn. Fire does. And thats all I can do." Aiden said. He shook his head as water sprayed everywhere from his wet hair. He looked at her as water dripped on his face.
"When I started all I could do was water. But now I can do them all. I can teach you if you like."
Aiden looked at her. "Fire and water don't exactly mix. It will be hard. I doubt I can do it" he told her. Aiden shook off his hair again and got the water on Lavy. "Sorry"
Bucky just woke up fealing like his head weid 10000000 kilo's "hello was i knocked out" he mumbled he saw both Aiden and Lavy were suprised to see him.
Lavy shrugged, "No problem. And I know that they don't mix. Nither does water and electricity. But I can do those was well."

"It just seems like, for me, that it won't work at all....its only a feeling but still" Aiden said. He stood up and looked at Lavy.
"Well you might be right, but we should still test it."
Aiden shrugged. "Its worth a try" he said, giving in. "What do we do?"
"It's all about a feeling. With fire you feel a kinda farm sensation that almost uncomfortably warm but not really. With water you have to let a cool sensation take over you. Like you're in water. Kinda like a slippery feeling."
Aiden looked at her. "It sounds hard. I'm very good with fire, but it takes all of my concentration. It'l be hard to concentrate on anything else" he said to Lavy.
She nodded, understanding how he felt, " It was the same with me. So you can't think about fire at all. Don't allow your body to move in that direction. Just think about water. Like about what it feels like to be under it. The slow movements... the way your limbs feel around you."
Aiden shrugged and decided he would give it a try at least. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
He stood there, motionless. All he concentrated on was water. The feeling it gives you when your swimming in its slow current, or when you dive deep underneath with the feeling of freedom and security, or the feeling of the cold waves as it splashes upon your warm skin. Aiden concentrated on these memories.
However, he could still feel the heat underneath his skin, ripping through his muscles was the fire inside him. As usual, it took his entire concentration away. Aiden peeked open one eye and looked at Lavy. "I don't think its working" he told her through his gritting teeth.
Lavy reached out and touched his skin with her fingertips. They were cold. Ice cold. The feeling crept up his arm though his whole body until the warmth under his skin was replaced with a cool feeling.
"Try again."
Aiden's whole body shook. His skin was usually cold on the outside, but the inside was hot. Now, his whole body quivered with this feeling of harsh coldness that he wasn't used to. His eyes grew a dark black color, a reaction to the cold. Aiden closed his eyes and tried again. However, this time he had no concentration at all. The cold destracted him. "Sorry" he said quietly, giving up "It won't work..."
She let go and in a few seconds he was back to his normal temperature, "It's ok. It's not you're time yet. You're body isn't conditioned enough to withstand the changes. We can try again in a few weeks if you want."
Aiden relaxed and nodded in relief. "Yeah we could try. Right now it just doesn't feel right" he said quietly.
She smiled, "I think I know something that might cheer you up."
Aiden tilted his head to the side. He turned his body so he faced her. "And whats that?" He asked, clearly interested in what she had to say.
"Come on." She said turning and heading deeper into the forest. "It's way in here."
Aiden nodded. "Okay." He followed behind ehr deeper in the forest.
It was a full twenty minutes before Lavy spoke and by that time. it was so dark you could barley see in front of you, "Are you still with me?" She asked, stepping over a fallen branch.
She had been in the forest for so long now she knew it was well as she knew herself.
Aiden struggled to find his way through the now dark forest. However, he could see close enough to know that Lavy was no more than a few paces in front of him. "Yes" He replied quietly. Aiden followed her through the seemingly vacant forest.
"It's close now. But be careful. this next part is pretty tricky to manever." She stopped so he could catch up.
Aiden quickly caught up so he stood beside her. He tilted his head to the side. "Okay. But...where are we going?" He asked finally. Aiden struggled to see what was ahead, but was unable because of the darkness.
"I found it in here a few years ago when I got lost. It's this little cottage in the middle forest. But it's not the house that's cool. It's what's in it." She ducked down to avoid running into a low hanging branch.
Aiden followed closely behind her. "A cottage?" He repeated. His eyes beamed with curiosity. Aiden looked around, ducking over the same branch as Lavy. "Whats it in?" He asked quietly.
"There's this door under a rug that leads to a kinda of cave. But there's a house in the cave too."
Aiden started to walk faster. "Really? That sounds cool. How did you find it?" He asked, clearly more excited at the news.
"Got lost....really really really lost. I think I had just turned 12 and I was totally scared out of my mind. As you can imagin. It's pretty close to pitch black in here."
Aiden could almost see the cottage, even though it was dark. That showed that they were close. "Ah. So have you been here since?" He asked.
"Oh, yeah. Loads of times. Whenever I need to quiet I come here."
The cottage was right in front of them now. It was small and pretty old looking. The roof looked like it could fall in at any moment in time. The windows were so dusty and dirty that they could barley tell that there was a fire in the fireplace. Lavy push the door open.
The inside looked better, but not by much. All the chair's and tables legs were broken and scattered over the floor. The wall paper was peeling off. At least it was warm because of the fire. There was a faded red rug in the center of the room.
Aiden's face lit up as he finally saw the cottage more clearly. He opened the door with one hand and looked inside before he walked in. "Wow. It looks like no one has lived here for a long time" He noted. Aiden stood there for a moment before walking in.
"I'm guessing probably about thirty years, maybe a little more or less." Lavy picked up the heavy rug and pulled it aside. There was a black door with a knocker on it. Lavy sat down. and knocked seven times.
The door popped out of it's frame and slowly opened, reliving a black pit. She looked up at Aiden and waited for him to come closer.
Aiden slowly walked in, trying to be careful not to break the fragile house. He slowly looked in, not sure what to expect.
"You have to.....ummm.....jump in. And it's kinda a long fall." She said standing up straight. "But there's something at the bottom that will break your fall."
Aiden raised his eyebrow as he calculated what Lavy said. He narrowed his eyes and peered down into the black pit. "Are you sure?" He murmered doubtfully.
"Yeah, I've done it loads of times. If it makes you feel better I'll go first."
