Ok, so I need help figuring out what kind of powers I have.
*turns to her* It all up to you, everyone has an elemental power that resides deep within them, you just have to recover it. Do you got any idea of what you might like to be.
*smiles slyly* I'd like to be earth.
very good choice, we don't have any earth people that i know of, now you have to choose what branch of earth you want to learn first, natural like with plants or physical like with moving earth and rock.
I'm not sure. Natural seems tempting, but Physical seems useful. I'd like to learn physical first if that's alright.
Its all up to you. If the person doesn't freely learn their powers then the power becomes weak. Now lets see what you can practise. *thinks for a moment* How much can you lift?
What d you mean? with or without magical power? with magical power I can't lift much, i can only lift pencils, quills, parchment etc. Without it I can lift anything, except for giants and the like.
Magicly, so you can lift about half a pound at most so lets start you out with a quarter pound. *a small rock appears* First find your center, reach out to the rock and try and levitate it.
*concenrates, the rock is lifting then it falls* wasn't concentrating hard enough *Tries again and this time the rock doesn't fall.
*the rock gets slightly heavier* Keep concentrating.
*it falls* my head is hurting me.
Thats not elemental energy then. Hey Ginny, come over here. Loony, I think you have telecanesis. You want to search within yourself to find the earth energy within.

In the event of telekinis, the person in question does not requier a block. It would do you well to check for other powers before beginning training. In the evnt they posses another power, make sure your training will not interfer with the other power.

You can just choose an element, its part of you. If you choose the wrong one it will be like trying to swim up stream.

"It could be either your wind not earth or the wind is made by your pull power, kinda like shock waves."

"It's hard to explain. Its kinda like saying whats magic good for. What we are learning here is a different, older type of magic. You can use it for most of the same reasons you use normal magic. Instead of doing a Acrio spell, I can just do this."
Harry pointed at a object and opened his hand. The object came right into his hand.
"Also, about the wind. It might be phychic powers, but thats not my field, its Ginny's."
"I think the wind is physcic abilities. When I was 9, I had a sort of vision of me here, at Hogwarts and well guess where I am. I'll have to ask Ginny if she could help with that." she looks around the room. "what object should I use for my practice?"
"Since the school is made of stone, you can try that, but I suggest sand." As he said it, in one corner of the room, sand appeared.
"great, i'll try to take a handful of sand." she pointed to the sand and opened her hand as Harry had done. she only got half a handful. "well, its better than nothing isnt it?"
"Keep trying, if you want you can try to compress it into sandstone."
nah, i'll stick with this for now... *she pointed to the sand and opened her again* *a handful of sand came into her hand* i got it!!! Harry, your a great teacher!!

Harry looked at the new student entering.
"Welcome, I'm Harry, I'll be helping you with your elemental powers. Ginny will help you with psychic powers if you have any. (if she's still willing) She should be around here somewhere. Now, do you know what elemental power you have or will we have to start from scratch?"
Well, I don't know for sure, but I think I'm rather attracted to the elemental power of Fire.
Harry sighed.
"Most people are but few can control it."
Harry conjoured a normal ball of fire in his hand.
"I am wind and the only reason I can hold fire is because my element can precede it in this realm. Other places I have no power what so ever over it."
Harry juggled it from hand to hand then tossed at to Axel.
"Catch."
Axel reacted instantly. He caught the ball of fire. It was almost like catching a tennis ball, only it didn't make contact with his hand and like levitated in his arm (d**n can't find the word.). Axel felt that it somehow drained his own energy. But very slowly
"Very good, I guess you are fire."
Harry twired his hand and the fire ball disappeared.
"I guess we can start with you practising summoning your power from within."
'What do you mean by 'summoning'. I just thought that this elemental powers are just special spells that you can use with your wand. Now it sounds like pyrokinesis...'
Axel felt excitement flooding him. It started to become more interesting...
"Elemental powers are more than just spells with a wand. Each person has a special conection with an element. That conection lets us use the power as if it was our own. When we grow in strenth, its not our power that increases, it is out ability to control more power from around us."
Harry twirled his hand in the air and a small tornado appeard.
"See, I didn't use my wand. I just used my inner power to ask the air to do what I want. But for fire, since it usally isn't around you, you need to learn how to pull it from within."
*walks up to Harry, partially confused, partially nervous because he's had the power to control fire the majority of his life but unsure as to whether he has done so correctly or not*
ummm... well my father didn't really know exactly how to teach me to control my powers because he had never had any himself. So he got me a tutor when i was 7. He was summon fire with his wand and show me how to control it with my mind. But shortly after the first lesson he was murdered. The only thing i was ever sure of how to do was to turn it into different shapes and move it around slightly. I've never been able to summon it or have i been ever able to make it larger. When i was 11 and i came to hogwarts the first spell i ever learned on my own was the fire summoning charm. So that way i've been able to practice but not too well.Can you help me harry?
(Ha ha ha... we're all fire!! I've meant to do this for a while, but in two threads, I've already established that Alicia found that she was a fire, and has been taught how to light a candle safely... she wants to take it a little slow though)
Alicia walked in quietly and hesitantly.
"Um... ah... I'm a fire..." Alicia said quietly. She watched the ball of fire with interest.

(hahahahahah well yeah... i was going to be water but fire was much easier for me to come up with a story for... i was going to do a lake story but i that would've taken research and all that jazz... so oh well.)
*Bounces ball up and down like a basketball while waiting for instruction*

"Okay everyone. I can help all of you but let me fire proof the room first before the whole school goes up in flames. First, to summon fire. You have to feel inside yourself for your energy. Normally, at first, you have to think of something to get you mad for you to be able to find it. After that it is pretty easy to gain control since your own fire will listen to you more. Now, everyone try it."
He closed his hand and the fire ball disappeared.
(I don't care much about you two being fire since isn't in your profile that you can control fire. I just get mad when alot of people pick it right off the bat because they think its the most powerful.)
Alicia looked at him with wonder. She didn't really have anything to be mad about. She nodded though, remembering slightly how she reached her powers by searching through herself. It was a bit time consuming, but she didn't really get angry. She closed her eyes and concentrated.
After about a half-minute, she had the tiniest flame floating over her hand. She struggled to keep it going.
Dominic saw alicia's fire and was pretty impressed. He had never been able to summon fire before, just control it. So he though to himself about the dark wizards and witches he was destined to stop. He thought of all the terror and unjust things they've done and made himself angry. He thought of leaving them in a prison of fire for eternity... A ball of fire about the size of a basketball appeared in front of him it grew slightly more as he became angrier but not much.
Harry saw the fire grow in Dominic's hand.
"Dominic, control your fire. The larger the fire, the easier it gets out of control. Alicia, now let your fire feed on the air around it. Try to slightly relax your control around it. Let it breath a little."
even though infatuated with the flame he created he decided he'd better listen to Harry as he felt he could no longer control the movement of the fire. He settled down and started thinking of happier things. After about ten or so seconds the flame began to die down. IT was now about the size of a tomato and he tried to keep it this way. The size fluctuated but it was relatively consistent.
"Very good. How are you at controling your fire Dominic? If you are good at it, I can move you on."
"I'm getting much better at it. I've been practicing. thanks very much."
" but now how do i go about moving the flame? i can create it now and make it larger or smaller, but that's about it. "
"You don't really move the flame, you change the energy around the fire on one side and it will move that way. You see, when someone makes and element, especially fire, an energy field goes around it to keep it in check as long as its connected to you, and as long as its in your control. You can alter this field slightly to make it do what you want.
Dominic never felt closer to the flame then just now... He could feel it burning and flickering in him as the flame was being controlled. He concentrated as much as he could to control the energy field surrounding the flame to allow it to move from side to side... this took all his energy and he began to feel mentally exausted and he lost total control of the flame... it fell and went out
"Very good, after you get a rest, I'll try and teach you how to see into fire."
Alicia nodded slowly, and let the fire grow, scared that it would get out of control. She tried to relax, and finally, she did. The fire grew to about the size of a base ball. She concentrated on it, trying to keep it that size. She smiled as she did and glanced at Harry before looking back at the fire.

He practiced and practiced until he was able to make the flame wpell his initials. It just barely made out D T... good enough.

"I feel i'm ready to see into the fire..." he said "teach me please"
uh harry said to jump in wenever, so imma jump in now. i need to know wat element i have. i rather have taken a liking to static and electricity, if that helps.

"I think you might be lightning then. Can you hold lots of static electricity and shock people easily?"
He turns Dominic and Alicia.
"Very good you two. Practise is the key to learning anything. Now Dominic, lets see if you can see into fire.'
He goes to the fire place and make a small fire appear.
"A fire user should be able to see between any two points of fire in the world. This is kinda like floo powder but alot better. Now, look into the fire and try and see past the fire, see through it to where you want to see."
He pauses thinking.
"How about the great hall, there should be some fire there."

well, wen i was eight, i was struck by lightning. ever since then, my hair has been standing on end (and i have lots of hair mind you), and i kept shocking people. so ya i guess i can hold a lot of static.

he followed Harry to the Great Hall.

He said, makeing a wind hand and pulling him back into the room.
"We are going to see into the Great Hall from here, not go their."
He led him over to the fire.
"All you have to do is try and see past the fire, act like you are trying to look to the other side of the fire. It might take some time, but you should see the inside of the Great Hall."
He turned to Bolt.
"Now, to summon electricty, if have to feel inside for that spark. Now, cup your hands and feel for the energy, feel it go down your arm, into your hand, and lastly into the air between them."
ok. *he starts to concentrate really hard* his hair started to stand on end. *he concentrates even harder* than a small bolt appeared in his hand. then 2 or 3 more flew by. "i did it!" he said happily.
A stray bolt of electricity flew out of his hands and hit Harry, making his hair stand out on end.
"Very good Bolt."
He said coughing.
"oh, sorry Harry!" said bolt after his jolt hit harry. "I got a little overexcited"

I would like to have the power of shapeshifting, which you can change into anything(but nothingness) like for a example, Isabelle saw the smallest hole she ever saw, the only thing that could possibly fit through it would be a mouse. Isabelle shapeshifts into a mouse and crawled through the hole and changed back.
P.S. If that is possible that I could have that power? Otherwise if that's not possible then I will take the element of air.
